Right on Matt. Right on.

Don't we all?

Chestnuts roasted by Evin @ 02/11/2006 08:42 PM EST

There's supposed to be like ten thousand inches of snow here tonight. Just thought I'd mention.

Chestnuts roasted by Matt @ 02/11/2006 08:44 PM EST

It's snowing here, possibly up to a foot this weekend. But I'm all ready for it. I got some snackies and fuzzy pajamas and lots of good stuff to watch and things to write about. Plus I have a Peeps squeak toy. Squeak squeak!

Chestnuts roasted by Mystie @ 02/11/2006 08:44 PM EST

It snowed here in Detroit a couple of days ago.

Chestnuts roasted by Darth Poop @ 02/11/2006 08:46 PM EST

Isn't it always snowing in Detroit?

It snowed in DC today. I've missed this weather.

Chestnuts roasted by Mr. Boligarky @ 02/11/2006 09:00 PM EST

Dammit! It's not ever going to snow here. This year we didn't even get our month of dreary autumn rains that's as close as we get to actual winter. Well, time to crank up the A/C, draw the blinds, and put on a sweater.

Chestnuts roasted by Jedoc @ 02/11/2006 09:06 PM EST

Mr. Boligarky- Only during the winter and we've had years were it doesn't snow at all.

Chestnuts roasted by Darth Poop @ 02/11/2006 09:09 PM EST

Here in OK, it's pretty much been in the 50s and 60s all "winter". Except today, it finally went down to 32, and we had snow flurries. Nothing stuck, but still. Winter freaking wonderland.

Chestnuts roasted by Rosella @ 02/11/2006 09:12 PM EST

I think maybe we had a light frost one day. People in Abilene were resorting to cannibalism. Of course, due to extenuating circumstances, no charges were filed.

Chestnuts roasted by Jedoc @ 02/11/2006 09:14 PM EST

Oh, and before you ask, I was raised in a cold climate, and I am perfectly capable of dealing with snow without major incident.

I just happen to find people delicious.

Chestnuts roasted by Jedoc @ 02/11/2006 09:15 PM EST

Darth - I'm just kidding.

I spent most of my life in SE Michigan. The snow is one of the things I miss most.

Chestnuts roasted by Mr. Boligarky @ 02/11/2006 09:21 PM EST

Snowing here in KC..but not sticking. Gas is low, so thats cool. Broke under $2 for first time in months. Watching the Olympics. Still not as cool as seeing 84 games. But maybe just cause they were the 80s. Oh yeah, and Mary Lou Retton. That too.

Chestnuts roasted by Terror Claws Cole @ 02/11/2006 09:26 PM EST

Oh, well, yeah. Ok. I just ate an entire box of La Choy fortune cookies. smile

Uh, we had a bunch of fires this past week.
Weekends are way too short lately. Also? Weeks are turning out to be long.

Chestnuts roasted by squee4242 @ 02/11/2006 09:28 PM EST

Weeks turning out to be VERY long. To the point where I'm thankful that I've been saving money these past few years, because the day will definitely come where I withdraw all funds, hop in my car and live in a cabin in the woods for a ten year stretch.

I'll have someone update for SNTs, though.

Chestnuts roasted by Matt @ 02/11/2006 09:30 PM EST

Everything blends together with me. Yesterday seems like a dream and so does this morning. Nothing really seems like a long time to me except when there are lulls in the posting on this blog.

Chestnuts roasted by Darth Poop @ 02/11/2006 09:34 PM EST

fuckin right man i lose weeks just because they all blend together....and as for saturday night lasting for 5 days that would be nice too cause im sore as fuck when i walk from getting drunk and tobagganing down a concrete hill

Chestnuts roasted by nigel @ 02/11/2006 09:39 PM EST

Cause I don't work and I live in a city where I know no one, I never know what day is what, weekdays and weekends are all the same, my DH has Tuesdays and Wednesdays off, so its all fucked up around here...God I need a life!

Chestnuts roasted by IHAQ @ 02/11/2006 09:39 PM EST

It snowed on and off here in MN today too. Had to add.
I just went and saw Curious George and it was fairly lame. Will Ferrell had his moments, but the movie was dull. The soundtrack was done by Jack Johnson, and that was pretty good.
Also, in addition to no Office, there is no SNL this week. I'm a little bummed. Ah well. Viva la Saturday.

Chestnuts roasted by kb @ 02/11/2006 09:41 PM EST

So, Matt have you moved into your new place yet? Hows it working out?

Chestnuts roasted by IHAQ @ 02/11/2006 09:41 PM EST

I have this box that I keep my favorite action figures and some important computer discs in. If there is a fire at my house at night I’ll put on some pants, open my window, grab the box, throw it out the window and jump out after it. My room is on the first floor so I won’t die. I’ve heard too many stories about collectors losing their collections to house fires. Does anyone else have something like this?

Chestnuts roasted by Darth Poop @ 02/11/2006 09:42 PM EST

This is stupid but I still sleep with a stuff toy, and I always think about if a fire broke out, that I would have to make sure it comes with me too. Ive had the damn thing for so long I gotta keep it forever, my 5 month old seems to like him, so when he gets older maybe I'll give it to him?

Chestnuts roasted by IHAQ @ 02/11/2006 09:46 PM EST

I have stuffed toys at the head of my bed. They are: Kick the Cheat the Cheat, Space Ghost, yodeling beer mug that I got in Austria, and the Grinch dressed as Santa.

Chestnuts roasted by Darth Poop @ 02/11/2006 09:49 PM EST

My Kick the Cheat has to be displayed for everyone to see, he gets good use out of him when people are over!

Chestnuts roasted by IHAQ @ 02/11/2006 09:51 PM EST

I have enough stuffed toys to start a stuffed animal shop. That is if I could part with them. Some of my more unusual ones include the Energizer Bunny (complete with drum) and a Sonic the Hedgehog and Tails circa 1992... I slept with a polar bear for years but finally weaned myself from it a year or so go.

Chestnuts roasted by Kittycatgirl @ 02/11/2006 09:56 PM EST

I sleep with stuffed animals, too. Then again that's not so unusual for girls. The Care Bears bedsheets are maybe a bit much, but fluffy girly 80's stuff is part of my schtick. I gotta represent, yo.

Chestnuts roasted by Mystie @ 02/11/2006 09:58 PM EST

I have a giant stuffed catfish/body pillow who only comes out of hibernation a few times a year, for drive-in movies. At 3 AM one memorable morning, he was also the genesis of the phrase "The Fish...is my life."

Come back at 3 and read it again. It'll be funny then. Seriously.

Chestnuts roasted by Jedoc @ 02/11/2006 10:04 PM EST

I haven't been here in about forever.
It is snowing. And I am stuck in my house. So I am cleaning my room. Suuuuucks.
But at least I get to be on topic because all my figures and stuffed animals have been moved. <3

Chestnuts roasted by Denise @ 02/11/2006 10:07 PM EST

Today when at the grocery store, I was looking at a box of scotties tissues thinking about that little puppet you can order(click name to see it),and how I wanted one so so bad when I was a kid, a few years ago a family friend got one somehow and gave it to me. I think that my mom threw it out when I moved. Next time I'm over there I'm checking to see if its gone or not, otherwise I'm ordering me a new one!

Chestnuts roasted by IHAQ @ 02/11/2006 10:22 PM EST

Hehe, I was looking through my computer and I found something I made Matt for X-mas, but I dont think he ever got it, forgive me if the link doesnt work, I just got a photobucket account, and I don't know what the hell I'm doing.

Chestnuts roasted by IHAQ @ 02/11/2006 10:34 PM EST

IHAQ. That is ADORABLE. I want one. sad

Snow! Snow! Snow!

Chestnuts roasted by Charles @ 02/11/2006 10:36 PM EST

I still have most of the stuffed animals I've amassed in my childhood. And I've got boxes upon boxes of Action figures, mostly transformers.

I'm one of those people who freaks out even when my room gets reorganized, and in the last few weeks the stuff in my room is being temporarily moved out so a new carpet & couch can be put in. I'm a total wreck.

On the plus side, I saw the first 2 episodes of the Arrested Development "finale" and then taped the last 2 which I have yet to watch, so I'm feeling good now. big grin

Chestnuts roasted by Invader Norbert @ 02/11/2006 11:04 PM EST

I'll just be glad when this week's finally over... it's been one bitch of a week. There's been a lot of customers at work that have been unbearable, and some of the fellow employees are slacking off.

It's Miller time

Chestnuts roasted by AlphaCentaurian @ 02/11/2006 11:05 PM EST

Matt, I too wish Saturday would last at least 5 days. sad This coming week is gonna be hell, and I just don't wanna deal with it. I'm definitely putting in for a weeks vacation VERY soon. I have about 100 hours I can use. big grin

Stuffed animals? I bought a jumbo Squishy Mouse (Littlest PetShop) a little while ago that is absolutely amazing to snuggle with. smile

It was nearly 90 and sunny here today in Southern California. Just thought I'd mention it.

Chestnuts roasted by Zombie Shakespeare @ 02/12/2006 12:34 AM EST

We'll miss you when you go on sabbatical, Matt. Seriously though, every week I'm dead by Wednesday, miserable Thursday and I don't even know how I get through Friday. Mondays suck, of course. Tuesdays are all right, I guess wink
I have a fair collection of assorted stuffed gorillas. I'm branching out into other jungle pals...so far I've got a hippo and a crocodile. Living room is dominated by a large number of penguins as well.

Chestnuts roasted by squee4242 @ 02/12/2006 12:37 AM EST

No joke. School needs to chill out, big time. It's hard to focus on essays with a South Park marathon going on in the background. :/

Chestnuts roasted by Eddie Lightning Frog @ 02/12/2006 01:35 AM EST

So no luck attending Toy Fair this weekend Matt? That's too bad. Some interesting new toys are being revealed, expecially classics like Transformers and Star Wars.

Chestnuts roasted by the Death Star @ 02/12/2006 01:37 AM EST

Here in WA we had 3 days in January where it didn't rain. I feel for you, Matt, with the 10,000 inches of snow, but I'm glad today was nice and sunny here. Tomorrow, we'll most likely be back to the rain.

Chestnuts roasted by Darth Muppet @ 02/12/2006 02:55 AM EST

Holy Jesus, there was no snow on the ground yesterday and everything is covered thick in it. It's still coming down too.

I'd just like to point out that I'm not the pheasant plucker, I'm the pheasant plucker's mate, and I'm only plucking pheasants cause the pheasant plucker's late. Just, you know, FYI.

Well, I know a girl named Sarah, and shes sitting in a shoe shine shop. All day long she sits and shine, all day long she shines and sits, then she sits and shines, shines and sits. Her name is Sarah, and shes sitting in a shoe shine shop.

I have a pot bellied bear that my aunt gave me when I had to go have heart surgery to repair a murmur when I was 4. I've got some pictures of him in the bed with me at the hospital, as I sat with a nurse and performed "surgery" on a doll so I would know what was going to happen to me. Bear is wearing a surgeon's mask in those pictures.

I've slept with him pretty much ever since. My boyfriend has discovered his wonderful light blocking powers and has been known to steal him from me in the mornings. He fits so nicely over the eyes.

Lately I've been collecting more pot bellies off of ebay, and I eventually plan to put up a website about them. For as ubiquitous as they were in the early 80s, there's almost nothing on the net about them.

Chestnuts roasted by mags @ 02/12/2006 10:02 AM EST

I have, among other things, a stuffed rhino. His name is Mini-Me. (His middle name is Rambi.) He is rambunctious and usually hungry, but generally well behaved as far as stuffed animals go.

I am secure in my masculinity. Less so in my sanity.

Chestnuts roasted by Rhino @ 02/12/2006 10:44 AM EST

Yes! I'm so excited, I just won some Purplesaurus-rex off ebay! Now here's my dilemma, should I open the packet and drink the nectar and try to make a recipie to replicate it? Or should I keep it sealed and frame it. It's a tough decision that I think you guys could help out with.

Chestnuts roasted by Ghoul-aid Man @ 02/12/2006 10:57 AM EST

Ghoul-aid Man- Carefully open the package, drink it then frame the packaging.

I know this is going to make me an outcast among X-E'ers, but I have a confession to make...I hate kool-aid. I always have. Even as a kid. I can kind of stomach the lemonade and pink lemonade flavors, but that's about it.

*Going to go hide from the angry mob now*

Chestnuts roasted by Rosella @ 02/12/2006 11:29 AM EST

I made a snowman. He's got a puffy chest and is all like, "BRING IT, BITCHES!!"

Chestnuts roasted by Mystie @ 02/12/2006 12:18 PM EST

Found this last night and with the re-invigoration of the Kool-Aid section thought it would be appropriate. I was gonna embed it here but I dunno how kosher that would be so here's the link:
The best Kool-Aid Commercial Ever??

Us XE'ers need to stick together. Anyone up for trading yahoo messenger screennames?

Chestnuts roasted by Tommy Day @ 02/12/2006 01:10 PM EST

I've stopped putting my SN anywhere because of the amount of crazy messages I get. Typically it's a lot of people that can't spell and want to talk about how they think SWAT Kats is the greatest cartoon ever made. That and the oodles of creepy fanboys like that guy from Jones Soda gettin' all fresh with me. sad

Chestnuts roasted by Mystie @ 02/12/2006 01:20 PM EST

Hey, I love SWAT Kats. You got something against SWAT Kats Mystie? Wanna fight about? Huh? Oh hell I can't stay mad at you. Come here and give me a hug before I give you a knuckle sandwich.

Chestnuts roasted by Darth Poop @ 02/12/2006 01:37 PM EST

There should be an "it" after the "about" in my last post.

Chestnuts roasted by Darth Poop @ 02/12/2006 01:39 PM EST

What's SWAT Kats?

Chestnuts roasted by Horribly out of the loop @ 02/12/2006 02:28 PM EST

A totally radical television show, here be the Wikipedia page:

Chestnuts roasted by Phil @ 02/12/2006 02:53 PM EST

I was a big fan of the SWAT KAts way back when. I've only seen a couple of episodes recently, and they weren't that great, but maybe they were just bad episodes. I think I'll go sit in the corner and cling desperately to the candy-glazed shadows of my youth.

Chestnuts roasted by Rhino @ 02/12/2006 02:59 PM EST

Snow. Sucks. Period.

Chestnuts roasted by Mike the Great @ 02/12/2006 03:16 PM EST

I managed to get 3 of the 4 SWAT Kats action figures. T-Bone, Razor, and Dark Kat, sadly I never got Dr. Viper. He was my favorite character and I still long for that figure.

Chestnuts roasted by Darth Poop @ 02/12/2006 04:00 PM EST

I collect stuffed animals and dolls as well. One of the reasons I moved was so I'd finally have room for them all! I live alone, so they're the closest things I have to roommates. Among other stuffed animals on my bed are a three-foot Paddington Bear I've had since he was bigger than I was, the two-foot Meowth that's one of only two stuffed animals my ex-boyfriend gave me I kept, the polar bear with the big smile my sister and brother gave me after the aforementioned boyfriend broke up with me, my floppy wolf Baby Wolf, my little mint-colored teddy bear with the long legs, my childhood Cabbage Patch Kid Carrie, and my stuffed Sailor Moon doll. It may sound sad, but they're like my children, probably the only ones I'll ever have at the rate I'm going.
