There is no shame in loving Gilmore Girls! I too have the whole series on DVD and will still stop on a rerun when I find them on. Lauren Graham is my number one celebrity crush and the show is in my top five.

Today was my own self-appointed Unbirthday...one month til the real birthday! At this point the ages all run together, what does it really matter what increment of thirty-something I am? You're down to just celebrating Day of Birth rather than Number of Years Since Day of Birth. Alright DJ D what's on your wish list for our grand birthday-day this year?

One of the drawbacks to having my radio show on Saturday nights is that I'm so incredibly busy doing it that I can't participate in SNT. What no one sees or knows, is that while the songs, psa's (the groin is a sensitive spot), vintage horror trailers, and oddball transitions seem to flow smoothly, behind the scenes, it's almost always complete chaos, with me queuing up records (as in vinyl), trying to get the damned equipment working properly, figuring out a way to not use that one Charles Manson quote that I've abused too many times over the years, etc, etc, etc...

All this adds up to me playing some serious X-E catchup on Sundays. So, I just got through reading the last 2 posts and all the comments attached. Some responses:

First of all, thanks for all the kind words from my slowly growing harem of strange X-E ladies (Rev, Muppet Baby, whoever else I'm leaving out). You guys make me blush and look down all sheepishly. Please, don't feed my ever-growing and dangerous ego. I operate better as grumpy, paranoid, and in constant fear of being inappropriate. Don't make me full of myself and cocky. You wouldn't like me when I'm full of myself and cocky.

Just watched the Madd Matt's Ghoul-Aid vid. Best use of a "trash bag bunch" ever. Hands down. Madd Matt is just topping himself more and more with these things.

I also just went back and re-read the previous 2 Halloween Mood Table articles. I like that the decorations have completely changed in all three years. The only thing that's constant is the actual table itself. I could be wrong, but I don't think I've spotted anything that he's used more than once.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet or not, but is that Jennifer Aniston from Leprechaun on the DVD player? I hope so. Most people say that it's her first professional work, but I actually remember her playing Ferris Bueller's sister before that in a very short-lived TV series that based on the FB movie.

"What an awesome, but mostly forgotten, show that was (Werewolf). It looks like bits and pieces of it are on Youtube, but no good source for entire episodes. Seems like one of those things that I will never get to experience again as I am one of maybe a dozen weirdos who would actually buy that DVD."--Magic T
The Chiller channel was rerunning it last year, and I have seen some bootleg DVD's of it here and there online, but nothing official. There may be a torrent of it out there somewhere. Count me as being one of those weirdos too. It was one of my favorite things on television when I was a kid. Even with the budget they had, Rick Baker's werewolf suit for the show was pretty impressive.

Jugendsehnsucht: Great pic!

"You know Muppet Baby, it’s funny you mention Gilmore Girls. There’s another X-E’er who I’ve heard was a pretty rabid fan of that show. I won’t mention any names though. *cough*@Deej*cough*"--Dan H
Yes...well, ahem...that's uh...I mean I've seen a few episodes...and uh...you know, when you're flipping channels and uh...something just comes on...I mean it's not like I know plot lines or characters (yes I do) or that I know the names of Rory's boyfriends (yep) or that I was excited that Lorelei and Luke got to together (finally)...and I've certainly never DVR's it (shit)...Hey, Church had a kid! Let's talk about that!

Congrats, Church!

Amy, Stop saying mama! Just because I'm from the south...I swear...

Congrats on the little one Church!

"I knew Melissa McCarthy from her years on ‘The Gilmore Girls’…which, shamefully, I own on DVD."
Ghosted by Muppet Baby

I am completely feeling the Halloween vibe now. Something about flipping that page on the calendar awakened all the dormant autumnal ghoulishness that I'd been trying (with mixed results) to rouse in myself throughout September. It seemed like the moment the 1st arrived, everything changed—the air had a touch of crispness to it when the breeze kicked up (it never made it past the 60°Fs), I saw somebody in the hardware store with an amazing jack-o-lantern tattoo on their left bicep, and photo-realistic portraits of Lon Cheney as the Wolfman and Boris Karloff as Dracula on their right bicep, and I came across this ultra-Octoberiffc little scene while on a hike. And then capped it all off with the first Dark Entries: Goth Radio show I've heard in ages. All in all, a perfect October day.
