Endings that made me want to barf like a chicken?
Easy. Pick most of the Stephen King adaptions. Especially The Shining, The Mist and (all of) Christine.
Kubrick rocks the block but why why why why why did he have to butcher a book that would have translated fairly directly to the screen?????
The Mist. Started well, was pretty happy. Then THAT ending. Darabont, you should be ashamed. You canned the voice over at the end of Blade Runner then serve up a weak as pi$$ ending that made me want to tear the screen down.
Christine. Don't make me go there.

I've got to vote for Blair Witch Project. Getting DIMS from watching it was bad enough, but who stands in the corner waiting for their turn to die? When the villain is killing your friend, you are either supposed to kill the villain or save yourself, not politely wait until the killer has time to get to you.

Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds. I'm all for movies with "the good guys all die" depressing endings, but this wasn't even that. There's no resolution whatsoever- it's like they just ran out of film. When I was watching it the first time, I didn't even realize the end was anywhere near happening until the credits started rolling.

Watchemen. Movie or comic it doesn't matter. I go to the movies/read comic books to ESCAPE the fact that rich people who think they are a lot smarter than they actually are like to ruin the world on their ill-thought out whims. Just like the real world, no matter what good men do there is no way to stop them from using their power on us. The point of superhero comics is to get _away_ from that. It's not "deconstruction" of the superhero genre in any way, it's just as superficial and un-complex taken as a whole as any other comic; it is merely cynical.

Were it not for the ridiculous ending, it actually could have BEEN a deconstruction of the superhero genre, especially the complex motivations and failings of Rorschach and Nite Owl II... but Moore had to crap it up and cop out at the end.

Berdo! I went through the comments wondering if anyone was going to say "The Last American Virgin", which despite the suicide-inducing ending is my favorite movie. Maybe because of that unbelievably horrible ending... it's just beyond comprehension what a downer that ending is, and even when you warn people who are watching the movie for the first time what they're in for, they can't believe it when it happens! God it's amazing. And awful.

I also have to agree with the Pretty In Pink votes, and it's worse knowing that they FILMED the Duckie ending and yet it hasn't been included on any DVD, even the "Everything's Duckie" edition!!!

Why on Earth did anyone feel the need to end the otherwise not-bad CGI adaption of "Horton Hears A Who" with the entire cast singing REO Speedwagon's "Can't Fight This Feeling?" It was just weird, even for Dr. Seuss adaptations.
