Cheetos “White Cheddar Snowballs” Winter Edition!

I've posted nearly a billion pictures since starting X-Entertainment, and during that time, I've experimented with many different backgrounds. So, mental note: Never use shiny, reflective wrapping paper as a photo background ever again.

Unsightly glare aside, I'm pleased to announce the revival of a modern Christmas classic: All-new holiday edition Cheetos! I've been waiting for Chester to give into his festive yearnings ever since those tongue-dyeing bastards of 2005, and while these Cheetos won't turn your mouth radioactive colors, they're suitably Santaish.

Marked as a "limited winter edition," these White Cheddar Snowballs resist any kind of denominational affiliation, instead opting for a central theme safe for those of any and every religion: Snow!

The bag didn't lie. The Cheetos are humongous. You'll be torn between eating them and using them to drop fifty-cent sideshow hecklers into water tanks.

They're also a bit yellow, which isn't an ideal hue for a snack based on snow. Taste-wise, they're less like white cheddar Cheetos and more like stale regular Cheetos, but this is forgivable, as Cheetos is one of the few foods that's arguably better when stale.

Getting back to the size, it's really something, and I'm not sure if adding a nickel to the photo was enough to convey their enormity. I've never been more certain that I could kill another man with an armament consisting of nothing but Cheetos.

It took some serious creativity on Frito-Lay's part to figure out how to market giant, yellow, roughly-spherical Cheetos as a holiday edition. Even if it's a stretch, you have to appreciate the effort.

Isn’t there some sort of yellow snow joke somewhere?

Hey Matt, thanks for making my Advent that much more bearable. Being married to a rather high-church episcopal priest, Christmas doesn’t start in out home until the 25th. It does continue through January 6th, but by the the world is ready to snarl at you for mentioning the C-word. (No, not that one.)

I’ve been inspired by you to take photos of my own toys and post words under them this year. It’s a Transformers Advent at Penguin Postings! I’d appreciate feedback from anyone.

BTW: I’m affraid of giant Cheetos in all there forms nuclear orange, solied snow, and whatever other devil-spawn they choose to unleash upon us.

I don’t know how big a nickel is :(

Stale Cheetos are better for dunking in soda.

Matt: Is there a reason why we’re still “ghosting”? Shouldn’t we be “toasting” by now? Or “roasting” or some other Christmassy adorableness?

Chestnuts roasted by Special K @ 12/08/2009 2:33 AM

What happen to the snowmen? Have the ghosts returned to take over ?

Chestnuts roasted by ULTRAMAN @ 12/08/2009 2:36 AM

Is my browser out of date? All I see are ghosties.

Chestnuts roasted by Special K @ 12/08/2009 2:38 AM

Yeah, sorry about those ghosts. :( We were playing around with the coding a while back and I’m not sure how to edit those back…will get the info tomorrow. Then we shall roast chestnuts.

Mista Snowman does it again. I wonder what Arcano did to poor Hssxxlo in his nightmare.

Chestnuts roasted by ULTRAMAN @ 12/08/2009 6:27 AM

But they’re like the Ghosts of Christmas! Click the link for more of ‘em!

Pretty good Penguin. I see many of the props must be shared among the Advent Calendars. I’ve added your RSS to outlook, so I’ll be following.

I too keep getting inspired to do something similar, but Matt’s much more clever than I, so I just sit back and enjoy.

penguin poet- Good stuff! Keep it going!

At one point I thought about doing the whole “posting every day advent” type calendar. Unfortunately Everything I just ended up ripping off this site. I found it very hard to be original when the starting idea was so… unoriginal. I ended up abandoning it and come back to the only real advent site! No one does it like X-E!

For me, the characters and world feel alive, so I get the urge to keep the adventures going, even off season, and with whatever figures I have available. End up being so much work. I see how much of a struggle trying to gather 25 stories could be.

This year’s AC is a good one, as usual. While it’s slimmed down, it’s still grand.

Mista Snowman has and always will be my favorite character in all this.

I wish he were real.

Ahhh yes, the Muppet Babies theme song…it is a great one!

I like adventure, I like romance, I love great jokes, ANIMAL DANCE!

PlantToymaker, I haven’t watched The Real Ghostbusters in years. Thanks for sharing that!

Katie: I don’t know if you consider Oklahoma the “south”, but I did find some Christmas Crunch at the Wal-Mart in the the town I live in.

Another great entry to the AC…For some reason I was mesmerized by that shaking picture of Arcano.

Anyone ever tried Eggnog Candy Corn. Saw some at the Christmas Tree Shop. They also had an advent calendar called ‘Countdown to Christmas Calendar’, which annoyed me to come extent.

Chestnuts roasted by Dann @ 12/08/2009 5:48 PM

How come Matt’s post ghost is facing the opposite direction?

I want it to snow here so badly. All we got was some freezing drizzle, which is like snow’s retarded cousin.

Chestnuts roasted by Annette @ 12/08/2009 5:53 PM

We’re supposedly gonna have a blizzard here in Iowa starting tonite into tomorrow, with 14 inches of snow possible.

Chestnuts roasted by King JLA @ 12/08/2009 6:19 PM

I could go for a nice amount of snow right now! It doesn’t have to be a blizzard, just a decent amount. Although a full blown Blizzard would be even better.

Chestnuts roasted by ULTRAMAN @ 12/08/2009 6:34 PM

I currently live in Central PA and we got a snowstorm in mid-October that lasted for about a week. :( We had snow this weekend, and it’s sure to keep coming. Yay mountains!

Oh my God, I just bought a tin of Danish butter cookies and I am so glad I did. These things taste like Christmas. I had forgotten how much I love them.

Chestnuts roasted by Annette @ 12/08/2009 8:02 PM

Annette- you are very observant.

It’s snowing here pretty good. We’re supposed to get 8 inches when it’s over. Whee!

Chestnuts roasted by kb @ 12/08/2009 8:34 PM

Dann-I’ve never seen eggnog candy corn but it sounds interesting. GFS has candy cane candy corn though. Also last night I saw a Chia head of Homer Simpson. Is it just me or is that pointless?
