My dying wish is for an owl/camel hybrid, which I call camowl.

Snowy SNT.

Happy SNT. Spending the evening stringing up lights where no lights should be, and ordering my clan of 400 nieces and nephews whatever nonsensical shit was most recently added to their wishlists. Pennsylvania Dutch eggnog, too. You?

I’m a big fan of the Kermit would run off after introducing a guest on the show. LOL!! Yaaaaaayyyy lol

Oh, and in regards to what I’m doing tonight, I’ve been watching stuff online. Thank you Livestream.

The Muppets totally deserve a resurgence in popularity.

Just saw 2012, wasn’t as bad as I had expected. They turned the lights on in the theater, and the movie stopped for a few minutes, so I now get a free film.

I love when the theaters mess up and the customers benefit. I remember one time my wife and I went to see 28 Weeks Later. When we got to the theater, we found out that all 16 screens were playing Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. Not only did they let us see the movie for free, but they gave us free tickets to any future showing. That was pretty freakin’ sweet.

I keep checking to see if the jukebox got a 2k9 makeover. I’m really starting to get the Christmas spirit.

Our first real snow of the year (besides a tiny bit in October) came today, perfectly timed since tonight was my family’s Christmas tree decorating party. Fake tree, sadly. We decorated abnormally fast, which we figured was because we didn’t eat our usual pizza or Mexican (aka piles of cheese) beforehand. Decorating the tree was kind of bittersweet for me, since next year I’ll be living with my fiance, and my mom had already packed my ornaments. It was like being erased off the tree. Then I hung all my brother’s ornaments in the back of the tree, to erase him too. Good times.

For the occasion, I tried some Voyant Chai Cream Liqueur, which comes in an orange bottle reminiscent of a propane tank. Mixed in milk, it has an egg nog taste. I’ll probably use the rest to make the cheesecake recipe on their website, since I won’t drink enough to justify the fridge space.

Also, my mom found me some Christmas Crunch! Haven’t had any since ’05, and I look furiously every year.

Today’s the 6th of December, so the kids in Germany got sweets and small presents today. Me too, as my mother has a strict “as long as you live here, you’ll receive the same amount of gifts as your little sister does” policy in place. I’m not complaining.

I’m now fully awake due to my cat’s attempt to fully destroy our Christmas tree.

Chestnuts roasted by Maxm77 @ 12/06/2009 6:18 AM

It’s okay Maxm. Sleep is for the weak.

Home from Disneyland, fired up a few things including the “Guy’s Disney Holiday” special that was on Food Network tonight. Hey, I was JUST right there! Damn, I knew I should have gotten more sweets. Unfortunately they weren’t making candy canes today, they only make about 1000 during the whole month of December so it’s tough to catch them. My annual pass expires the day after Xmas though, so I might as well give it a shot.

I lost a few hours to the Muppet Wiki the other day: http://muppet.wikia.com/wiki/Muppets_Christmas

I spent last night stringing lights on our newly acquired Christmas tree, drinking homemade eggnog (Meyer’s Rum and Courvoisier, mmm) and watching Mixed Nuts (a highly underratd holiday flick starring Steve Martin and Madeline Kahn).

Chestnuts roasted by Cheetara @ 12/06/2009 9:21 AM

I spent last night consuming wine, dressed in a cassock and jousting on a hobby horse.

Oh, and Hssxxlllo in a scarf is amazing.

I have to say, I love this year’s Christmas Crunch box. The thing I like best about it is that it isn’t hawking anything! In the last few editions the front of the box was taken up by some DVD offer. This year it is pure Christmas crunch goodness!

Starwenn if you are here, have you seen the new Daisy Tortoise webkinz up close yet? It’s super adorable! Would’ve bought it the other day, but Shop rite charges like 15 bucks, and I know I can get them 2 or 3 dollars cheaper else wheres.

Oh it’s a great Sunday-Funday. Drinking adult eggnog, have the crockpot croking, baking Christmas cookies, football is on TV and the Xmas jukebox is playing. sigh…. Trying really hard to not think about tomorrow being Monday.

I need to do something besides play around on the internet today. Oh how I wish Scrooged was available instantly on Netflix. It’s times like this when I wish I had the three-discs-out-at-a-time plan.

Just finished wrapping my favorite Christmas tradition. Got unnamed 9 yr old girl three shirts, Hannah Montana the Movie, HS Musical 3, and the Jonas Bros concert dvd (I know, I died a little purchasing those three, but it’s what she wanted). Got unnamed 10 yr old boy a RC Corvette and some Nikes. The shoes were a Black Friday doorbuster, so they’re not the coolest ever, but a kid could do worse.

CHRISTMAS MAGIC! My home church gave me a Christmas offering, and I snagged enough for Wifey’s birthday, and ALL the G.I. Joe exclusives I wanted! Snake Armor, Outpost Defender, Surveillance Port and Heetseek Station are all mine! I knew selling some Joes would result in Christmas magic. Wooooo!

Chestnuts roasted by Terror Claws @ 12/06/2009 5:43 PM

Yuou don’t have to tell them what you used it for…right? ;)

Chestnuts roasted by Amy @ 12/06/2009 5:45 PM

HA HA HA I was just thinking that Amy! At the churches I have attended people would flip out over someone using an offering on toys! To be fair they were REALLY strict though.
