Happy SNT. Spending the evening stringing up lights where no lights should be, and ordering my clan of 400 nieces and nephews whatever nonsensical shit was most recently added to their wishlists. Pennsylvania Dutch eggnog, too. You?

Absolutely nothing. The wife is working late, and we put up the tree last weekend. I’m watching V and mentally preparing myself for work at 5am tomorrow. Good times.

We got a dusting of snow this morning in Tennessee. They probably would have shut down schools on a weekday. It was gone by noon. My Minnesotan blood laughs at each snow day here.

My last year in this apartment, I was starting to feel nostalgic until I remembered that the rent was the reason why I couldn`t afford a christmas tree.

This year, I`m buying a Christmas aloe, and going to like it. I`ll have to make proportionately small presents to fit under it, but that just makes it more of a fun challenge.

My wife and I are watching whatever random Christmas movie comes on and just taking it easy enjoying our Christmas tree. Essentially the best way to spend a cold night in December. Hopefully tomorrow I can muster some motivation to get some studying done for my Psychiatry test… Until then though, The Santa Clause 2 it is!!!

Currently cussing myself for being naive enought to believe my 1 1/2 year old daughter would leave the tree alone. She’s been at grandma’s all this past week and I set it up while she was gone. So far she’s pulled off at least a dozen ornaments and tried to tip the tree once.

I was gonna get some PA Dutch eggnog today, but then it snowed and I did’t feel like going out at alllll. Instead I stayed in and put the box of non-Christmas decorations in storage and put some of the finishing touches up in the living room. I like that mini Christmas village is being watched over by a Buddha statue.

I got all prepped for cooking-baking when I was out yesterday but I underestimated the amount of butter I had in the fridge. That amount was none. Had to send the hubby-to-be out for butter.

And hey, should I put absinthe glasses & spoons on the Xmas wishlist or save it for the wedding registry?

Got our tree today, just put the lights on and turned the room lights off. Wow, it looks soooo good! Listening to the jukebox, about to pour some cranberry splash, life is good.

I spent all day itemizing all the crap I have been hoarding for the Salvation Army. I’m only about half done and came up with about 750 for my tax deduction. Helps that I save everything and have a son who is growing out of his clothes at all times.

Tonight: Pinot Noir and scanning pictures from an old seventeen magazine from the 70′s. And I think I’ll go turn the jukebox on to break the silence.

Today I scored a Hallmark “Galaga” arcade ornament along with a “Twilight Zone” one housed in a 60′s style TV set.

Each year they do one limited edition arcade ornament, last year was Pac Man. The screens and marquee light up and it plays the intro music and part of a game, too cool!

Galaga was my goal, but the Twilight Zone was just too awesome to pass up.

No snow in KC tonight, but possibly in the forecast for tomorrow. Happy SNT everyone!

Happy Holidays and SNT everyone. It’s snowing up here on the Isle of Staten right now. My daughter and I just finished watching the Rankin/Bass ‘Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer.’ Now it’s wife time with another food network holiday special.

Working tonight like every Saturday night…*sigh*…The wifey is out Christmas shopping and just called to tell me she found the “best stockong stuffer EVAR” for me so that’s exciting. Cold as heck here in OK with no snow but they’re saying snow/sleet/ice on Tuesday so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Happy SNT everyone!!
