Hi guys -- just dropping in quickly to scream HAPPY THANKSGIVING. Literally. Picture me screaming it. As you can see, the blog has been redressed for the holidays. As soon as the smoke settles and I sleep off the wine, it'll be time for the reddest, greenest celebration on the entire virtual planet.

Not really a double post by now, but Charlie Brown Christmas is airing on ABC this Tuesday…which is December 1st. For a second, I thought Tuesday was the 30th, so you win this round, ABC.

I never post in the comments section, but here goes. Ever since my freshman year of high school* it hasn’t felt like Christmas time until the X-E advent template was up.
Not to get all sappy, but THANK YOU Matt. You just gave me a thrill of holiday excitement [which has been quite difficult to come by over the years].

*to give you a taste of how much this means to me, right now I’m a senior in college.

Yo! The Pilgrims and indians smoked each other up and then had Thanksgiving dinner on Charlie Brown. I used to do the same thing. Awesome!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING X-E!!!!!!! I had a great morning watching the parade. I thought it was GREAT!!!! Sure it isn’t an 80′s parade but I can totally see how kids would have a great time watching it. I especially enjoyed the Sesame Street float and Spiderman leading the way!

MY wife and I ate ourselves stupid and then topped it off with pumpkin and pecan pie!

I just realized this was the first year in a long time that I didn’t see either Charlie Brown or Garfield Thanksgiving specials… But I did read through like 3 parade reviews so it was still a good time. Be safe everyone and welcome to the Christmas Season!!!!!

Jimmy: Woodchuck is ok, but my favorite is Strongbow. Unfortunately Alabama doesn’t have a distributor.

starwenn: Planes, Trains and Automobiles, HELL YES. Martin and Candy were Spade and Farley before Spade and Farley.

Brandon I watched the Mayflower Charlie Brown special the other day, right after the Thanksgiving one. It was definitely something to watch.

Happy Thanksgiving again everyone. Hope you had a good one and your families didn’t drive you too crzy for those of us that spend it with them.

Bring on the Christmas Season @ X-E!!

Watched Charlie Brown Thanksgiving again, we always watch it every year. My oldest daughter (almost 5) was appalled at their dinner, and kept saying “POPCORN is not dinner, its a snack!!” Haha…
We had Thanksgiving dinner at a relative’s house, which was nice because all I had to take was a dessert. For some reason I decided to do a cake (mostly cos I knew my picky kid would eat that if nothing else). I usually make really nice looking cakes but since we shopped all day yesterday, I ended up having to make this morning and it just FELL TO PIECES! I pieced it together and took it anyway, and most of the kids there, that was all they ate was my cake! (Everything was really traditional – squash, pumpkin pie, green bean casserole etc, and the kiddos weren’t too thrilled over that, despite the Thanksgiving excitement).

We had a good one overall, and hopes everyone else did too!! Hope no one else had the embarrassment of the fallen dessert!

Happy Thanksgiving! Now let’s get an early start: Where’s the rest of the Advent Calendar? When are you going to finish the Advent Calendar? You’re letting us all down by not finishing the Advent Calendar! You’re a dick for not finishing the Advent Calendar! I know you make fuckloads of money from this site, so the least you could do is give us a complete Advent Calendar! You owe us more Advent Calendar! You loser fag son of a bitch, I’ve been reading this shitty blog for 9 years, and now all of a sudden you repay my loyalty by holding out on the Advent Calendar! I fucking hate you! I’m never going to come back! X-E is dead, because Matt just doesn’t care about his loyal fans, who now hate him because he stopped posting free, amusing stuff for us to read at work instead of doing all of that boring shit we get paid for! Bastard!!!! And so on.

Happy Turkey Day, everybody! Hope you guys had a good one. I totally missed Charlie Brown cause I was on the road driving back from seeing the family. But, I did catch some of the parade this morning. No Mystie sighting though.

I spent the day eating 2 different kinds of turkey (cajun fried and smoked), a ton of dressing, and a bunch of other stuff. Then road 4-wheelers around the neighborhood with my cousins and nearly flipped one over when we decided we had to drive through a giant pile of leaves. Turns out the inside of that pile of leaves was all dirt, so we pretty much just drove up on it and nearly flipped the thing. All told, it was a good time. I’m gonna head into the kitchen now and eat leftovers, then head to bed. I actually have to work tomorrow. Blah.

Wow, it’s been a year already? It really just seemed like last week the Christmas backdrop was still up. How time flies.

Looking forward to another X-E Xmas season!! I am all ready to start decking the halls. Can’t wait to see our old friends Kuse, Mare, Knacks, Waiterbot and James Lipton again.

I’m totally late here, but happy Thanksgiving y’all! I spent the day traveling all over creation with a friend’s family, which was exhausting as hell, especially since I’m used to a quiet holiday and this is my first year without my mom. On top of that, I missed the parade! Boo-urns.

I’m making up for it tomorrow by having Thanksgiving 2: Electric Boogaloo. Just me, some baked chicken and pumpkin pie, a marathon of Star Trek, and the untangling of many Christmas lights. It’ll be cozy, plus I won’t get stuck sitting at a gas station for 2 hours because someone’s car engine overheated.

Hey all, well, if you haven’t looked at the last thread, I made my return appearance mainly because I was watching the parade and felt we could all make comments on it as all the events passed by. Anyway, if you didn’t know already, I’m in Iraq for my third, but thankfully last tour. My holidays mainly consist of watching all the old classic TV shows, especially the Charlie Brown and Garfield specials. There’s not much I can say, but I definetly will be on a lot more. I guess I was having trouble on what to say when I did decide to return.

Anyway I mentioned this in the last thread but I just thought I’d let you all know again that Garfield’s Christmas will be aired on Decemeber 13th on ABC Family. I know, that channel is owned by the same corporation that owns the network where all the Charlie Brown specials are shown (namely Disney). Of course, why does Charlie Brown get the network treatment but Garfield gets booted to cable land. Oh well, I’m sure most of you would just be happy to see Garfield celebrating Christmas on TV again instead of only seeing it on DVD. so, mark your calendar for that important date, December 13th. Not sure of the time but I’m sure it’s one of those early times. Okay, that’s all for now.
