Though it goes without saying that I’m already planning next year’s Halloween.

oh, Rayne. I am so sorry. You and your family are in my prayers.

CakeMaster- Welcome to the party! It’s been Christmas in my brain for at least a week solid.

Matt’s excitement for Christmas is almost as big as my excitement for Halloween…thus I wish Halloween came afterwards, because the transition to Christmas just makes me completely depressed. I don’t even really celebrate it anymore; I might exchange gifts with a few people but I think my non-Halloween holiday spirit died with childhood.

Domo I think that is your opinion of that the age ranges are. I am 27 and I consider myself a part of generation x. So ha.

Bill Put your mouse over Mike83′s name and see what his myspace nickname is. I think you have a new friend :)

I don’t consider myself part of Generation X. I just consider myself one of the faceless billions ;)

Then again, why do we even bother naming generations?

Glad to see so many of you posting!I keep checking throughout the day and I see a few sparse posts. Was starting to get a little lonely ’round here. :( I am 30(31in like 6 months),and a proud member of genX.

I can’t believe that the Gameboy beat out Hot Wheels for induction into the toy hall of fame. Don’t get me wrong, Gameboy rocks, but Hot Wheels have effected far more children.

It’s Muppet Baby’s birthday? Happy birthday, Muppet Baby!

I don’t know what “generation” I’m a part of. I’m 31 and I want all these damn kids off my lawn.

Scythemantis- You can always listen to good seasonal music and plan for next year… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rflsHvtTTGw

And Mike93- Quit stealing my yearly itinerary!

Goob
You can consider yourself to be a part of whatever group you think you identify with the most. Based on kingklash’s question, I was just saying which two groups are most represented here and how those two groups are traditionally defined. I have to put that Sociology degree to work when the rare opportunity presents itself! :)

Hey guys. We’re getting a big hamper for christmas, full of food exclusive to America. I’m finally gonna get the oppurtunity to try Cap’n Crunch which Matt goes on about on here. Check out the ebay link and let me know what you guys recomend to get. The US seems to make food seem so much more exciting than in the UK. Anything here tha’ll change my life? Let me know!

I’m just me. I’m 34, and I don’t care.

I tried to put off Christmas, but it hit me last night. I’m watching Elf. It needed to be done.

I find it funny that Muppet Baby shares her birthday with Sesame Street. Perhaps that’s the source of her name?

You know, I was looking forward to this Holiday season, but I realized I’m not really looking forward to anything. Hopefully Christmas at X-E will make me feel better.

Amy Bravo! I usually loathe labels but I felt I had to defend myself. And Elf is one of the best Christmas movies ever.

Generation X,Y,Z,A,B,C…whatever. I never understood what that meant. I turned 32 last month so…I have no idea what this means! I dunno. Child of the 80s, teen of the 90s, and this last decade sucked.

Man, I keep forgetting that there are only two months left for this decade. Better work on making this next decade an awesome one.

well…my 730 dollars from college came today! Just waiting for my 1200 check to get here from the Tag grant next week…part of me wants to indulge in a shiny new 8GB Ipod Touch, another part wants to buy some clothes that fit since everything I have is literally 2 sizes too big. And to get some webkinz and the new Stephen King novel The Dome or Day of the Dome…I forget the exact title. However, it has been said to be as good or better than The Stand, and in the same level of greatness as The Shining and IT.

It takes place in a New England town(what else is new) and the citizens wake up to find a huge come over their town or something.

Just came out today, so I may head to B&N in the morning to get it.

mandy_reeves

It’s “Under the Dome”

I haven’t read any King, but I do buy books for a living and spend all day on Amazon, so I see the ads for new books all the time.

Oh man. Went to the store on Halloween at about 9:00 and they already had the candy and decorations in those sad after holiday rummage bins and Christmas crap on the shelves!! Geez.
I know Christmas is coming when I feel a sense of impending doom. Yes, I admit. Christmas is OK at best. I like the warm feelings and finding a creative and perfect gift for someone but yet always end up frantic, stressed. and inadequate.
It doesnt help that it seems like everyone I know also has a birthday around the holidays. These people are always dropping hints that their birthday will probably suck anyways because its so close to Christmas and they have always been “cheated” in the past. So doubly trying to find perfect bday and xmas gifts.
On top of that I dont want to turn on the tv because of a two month barrage of “helpful perfect holiday” commercials that simultaneously depress and make me feel poor. I mean seriously. I never knew anyone that gave or recieved a friggen CAR for Christmas.
Sorry for the rant. Im tryin to keep my holidays low-key this year. Time to hit the spiked nog!!!

P.S. DJD. You kill me!!! I cant believe they touched your decorations no matter how polite. In my neighborhood where people get used to just stepping over passed out bums and crack needles(LOL im exaggerating, kind of) thems would be sum fightin words. You know? BUT THEY JUST COULDNT TAKE IT!!!! HA! Suburbia drives people insane!

Chestnuts roasted by citygirl @ 11/11/2009 2:20 AM

Just reporting in that DrugMart has delicious smelling egg nog jar candles this year! Even if ya hate the taste, you can enjoy the festive aroma. :)

Chestnuts roasted by JllS @ 11/11/2009 8:04 AM

citygirl-Ya know,it would be pretty friggin nice to get a Lexus with a big red bow on it for Christmas. But I mean,c’mon, how many sales does Lexus get around the holidays? Is it even worth it to show those commercials every year?I guess, considering the price of their automobiles,it might be cost effective.God!I hate those friggin commercials.I’ll be happy with a few toys and some clothes(maybe some video games and dvds too). :)

Chestnuts roasted by Jason @ 11/11/2009 9:51 AM

mandy_Reeves: To me, nothing can compare to The Stand. I’ve read a good many of his books, and that one has always stood out among the rest.
