Matt: I agree 100% with your opinions on Hellraiser. Also, food coloring makes everything better.

Jugendsehnsucht: I always thought Coil's soundtrack is better, too. It's scarier and much more suited to the film instead of the indeed rather generic and thus boring soundtrack it got.

"I can confirm that a miniature bag of popcorn would set your entire neighborhood ablaze if you left it cooking in the microwave for three full minutes." --Matt, I fricking love you, man. I laughed so hard. And I MISS POP QWIZ! My grandparents are the only ones who used to get it for me (I spent nearly every weekend there as a kid) and my grandmother always hated the bright blue kind because "there are no natural foods that are that shade of blue".

Bill, if you dress your sweet widdle kittenhead up for Halloween, Cenobite or no, you better show us some pics.

Speaking of scary-ass shit and Clive Barker, has anyone ever played the computer game Undying? Holy mother of all gods, I literally had to stop playing it because it was so goddamn creepy. I haven't gotten very far into it at all. I never was into the Resident Evil games or horror video games because they have always scared me way more than movies...it must be the personal interaction part that makes me pee my panties. But this came in a pack of 5 games for like ten bucks or something so I bought the collection. I played it one night and I refused to play it in the dark anymore. And I was in college at the time.

It had a cool story...you play this Irish guy who goes back to this big huge castle because an old war buddy of his is dying and wants his help. Turns out the old war buddy and his siblings all like conjured the devil or some shit and they all got cursed. Well, the rest of the siblings died and the war buddy is on his way there, but he wants the Irish guy to help break the curse first. So there's like these demon dogs jumping out at you and blood everywhere and you get to fight a few of his siblings...and it's done in the creepy way where like no music proceeds the scary shit, either, which makes it all the scarier. Christ I don't wanna talk about this anymore...thank god I don't live alone anymore...

Bill:
Damn straight. Lemmy is a god amongst men. I'd say it'll be a sad day when he finally goes, but I'm convinced he's probably immortal.

Speaking of Hellraiser music, anyone else a fan of the original Hellraiser soundtrack that Coil made that was rejected in favor of the decent, but rather generic sounding Christopher Young soundtrack? I had heard that Clive Barker preferred it, but the studio disagreed. I'd love to see them release a Hellraiser DVD with it's original soundtrack. Not everyone seems to dig it as buch as I do, but I think it's got a creepy quality to it that the "big budget Hollywood film score" style of Young's music doesn't quite capture. Plus, old Coil stuff is just awesome in general.

Love your Raphael cereal bowl!! My brother had that for years and I still think my mother has it hidden away somewhere in her upper cabinets.

I also have fond memories of Pop Qwiz. When I first found your website a few years ago I was so excited because I forgot what it was called and no one I ever asked remembered!
