Can anyone tell me how I can listen to the jukebox? It keeps telling me I need to upgrade my flash player. So, I clicked on the link and upgraded, but it still keeps telling me the same thing? What exactly do I need?

Nickelodeon, things DO get out of hand when a handful of trolls start getting into sock puppetry and personal attacks, and that kind of nastiness has always been trashed so it’s not really anything new. I don’t see why anybody would defend it over people trying to have actual conversation.

Got my teeth out without incident, now I’m on the couch with my head between a couple of Hello Kitty ice packs, watching the Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie, which I taped thanks to a heads-up here. Maybe it’s the drugs, but I’m lusting over some of Kristy Swanson’s wardrobe with a fierceness. I’m really pained by a lot of the 80′s inspired trends lately so I’m thrilled that things have started moving on to the 90′s.

Anybody thinking up their ‘ween costumes yet, or is it still too early?

Heal up, soon, squee. I hear there’s even talk of making a movie based on Whedon’s Buffyverse. How weird is that? A movie based on a show that was based on a movie. And, from what I’ve been reading, Whedon’s not even going to be involved in it. I’m not the biggest Buffy fan, but that just doesn’t sound right to me. I think Pee Wee and Dylan from 90210 should make cameos though.

Can I just say how jazzed I am that we’re actually seeing the shrunken head in action again, AND we’ve got the Halloween Jukebox? Of course, I want to see another full on article as much as anyone else, but I like the sense of anticipation of counting down to a specific date. It’s very Box 23ish.

‘peaks in’ Is it ok to hang out here again? ‘whew’ Ok good.

I am so glad that the Halloween season is about to start here. Who am I kidding it always is hidden in the shadows waiting to go full force. This is my first Holiday season with my gf (4 months and counting) so I am looking forward to talking about X-Eesque topics with her this time around. She tells me she is a kid at heart and she is a year and a half older then I am (I am 27 she is 29) so this is a plus because having a 50 year old best friend (22 years older then I am) there are so many things I grew up with he didn’t. He was in his teens when Sesame Street came out! Can you imagine a childhood without freakin’ Sesame street? I can’t.

Anyway the point is I want X-E to be a part of her holiday season like mine. When Matt updates everyday it’s like having an online advent calendar from the middle of September all the way until Christmas. And I know how it feels to be single and it sucks to hear about people’s wives, husbands and gfs/bfs so I will keep that talk to a min. I promise I will. It’s obnoxious I know. Even from me (which was proven in the other thread I do not have immunity here) it’s a jab in the gut. I have already told her about the Halloween Countdown and Matt’s backstory so she is all prepped.

I am looking forward to apple cider and rewatching scary movies.

I am planning on what movies to watch with Jennifer (my gf) she told me she doesn’t think she has watched the Lost Boys ‘gasp’ so that is mandatory. I haven’t asked her about the movie Beetlejuice and she hasn’t watched Dead Alive yet being a fan of zombie movies that is mandatory too might as well watch it during October. We watch a movie once a week so I need to start soon or I won’t have many weekends to fit in all the movies we need to watch. I also want to watch the Good Son with her if she hasn’t watched it yet. We watched Ghost the other day she really likes that movie. IMO that is a classic I love the funny character Whoopi portrays and when he practices kicking the can in the subway. She made me watch Drag me to Hell with her last Sat and she hated it. I have seen movies just as bad so I wasn’t offended.

I haven’t bought any Halloween candy or anything Halloweeny really but I have time! Halloween is the time of year I really pig out on candy. Some people think I do all year but I really just eat a candy bar once a month or so. That is my story and I am sticking to it lol. I love the caramel apple candy corn and I want to make caramel corn this year. It seems easy enough and I am a fairly good cook. I enjoy this place this time of year because geeking about Halloween stuff and kids stuff is the norm and it makes you justify your obsession with it.

Squee, I absolutely agree with your repsonse to Nickelodeon. This is (or at least was) probably one of the friendliest blogs I’ve personaly posted on and I’d like to see it kept that way. I hope the Hello Kitty ice packs are treating you well.

Nice. Just bottled my pumpkin ale and it appears that there will by a Halloween Countdown. Although it’s not even Labor Day yet, I can safely say that fall has arrived.

If you posted about being disappointed about lack of updates, there’s nothing wrong with that. A lot of us were upset. I wasn’t saying those with level headed opinions to be banned.

It’s the trolls who come here that start trouble with name calling and personal attacks on those that are trying to have a conversation as well as towards the Webmaster that SHOULD be banned, but that’s not up to any of us. Just my opinion. Just because I say it should happen, doesn’t mean it will. I don’t run the site, so relax a little.

It’s pretty disruptive when people come in here and start personal attacks because we like to post at a “dead” site. I still fail to see why it would bother anyone.

Anywho, the Halloween Jukebox is awesome, but I really can’t wait to see what in store for Christmas.

Looking forward to an X-E Halloween! The jukebox always gets the season off to a good start.

When the comments were down this morning, I noticed a new feature had all the omments in older blog posts by the *real* Matt highlighted in a gray box. I don’t see this any more, though. I think it’s a great idea and would stop a lot of confusion when people post under a fake name.

There’s a glitch right now, though – the “View blog archives” link comes up with an error screen. Hoping it returns soon, I used it quite often.

Oh! Another sign fall is on its way — Monopoly at McDonald’s starts on October 6th!

Is it just me or is the fact that we topped 100 comments now incredibly anti-climactic? After the epic post we just got through with, it’s small potatoes. Maybe somebody will call “200!” when it comes around, but it’s going to take a lot to impress me at this point.

Tetsu I’m taking nothing but psychology courses this year. 9 of ‘em- stats, social, something about sensation and perception, among others. Its my major, so.. and I doubt I’ll be able to take any next year due to some red tape, so I’ll probably take a bunch of electives then. Sounds like you’ll have a good time though, all those courses sound interesting, and I’ve wanted to take up Spanish for a while. Cool stuff.

And DJ D, I can dig what you’re saying with posts, but we’re also on one day, not 3 months of wrestling, youtube, trolls and God knows what else. :P
