What are you calling out exactly? The fact that people like to come here out of their own free will and post? The fact some of us are okay with having a convo amongst ourselves, because really, it doesn’t hurt anyone if we do? The fact that some of us understand that Matt just hasn’t posted, and we don’t take personally and cry like a 15 year old school girl like some of you complainers do? I don’t see how or why people posting on this has any effect on you or any part of your daily life. Perhaps you need a hobby?

If Matt doesn’t come back, it sucks, but I’m not losing anything if he doesn’t other than some great articles. Not money since this site is free. Not my time since no one is forcing me to come here.

However, clowns like you come and complain about a dead site and just keep adding to it, basically negating your own argument. And you keep coming back to argue. It’s actually pretty funny. I’m getting a kick out of it. I would definitely lose a few laughs if the site did shut down.

And obviously that was me who posted that very hysterical message about what I’m doing while I wait for Matt to return. Some of you guys are some real sly cats. Absolute genius’!!

You know, just because the comments section is constantly active doesn’t necessarily mean the site isn’t dead. No articles in almost two years. No significant blog posts in months. Yeah, it’s dead all right. It’s just that the comments are full of people who enjoying talking amongst themselves and are holding out hope that Matt comes back.

If Matt truly cared about this place and all you people he’d have more to say than “Sorry, I’m busy” as an explanation for going months without posting and never finishing the Advent Calendar. Honestly the question isn’t, for me anyways, whether Matt fully appreciates his fanbase and if it is known to them. It’s more so I enjoy the articles and the way Matt writes. The Unanimous Declaration
of the Thirteen United States of America

I’m just as frustrated as anyone about the lack of activity by Matt on this site. It’s pretty much impossible to load this page from my phone, and it takes forever to scroll to the bottom once it does load. I think the worst thing is the fact that we all know Matt has been here recently and deleted some comments, but despite numerous requests, he won’t take the time to start a new thread. Maybe it’s all part of the master plan to set a world record for most comments on a single entry. Maybe he just doesn’t care, but why continue to moderate comments if that’s the case. Whatever the case is, maybe everyone needs to take a step back and relax a little and quit with the personal attacks.
Here’s a couple of suggestions:
How about a new topic for discussion? Horror movie most in need of a remake? Best book you’ve ever read, horror or otherwise? Best (or worst) back to school story? 100 words on what I did this summer?
Option 2 – Let the site go quiet for 1 day. Beginning at midnight tonight, nobody posts any comments for one entire day. In fact, we don’t even open the page. I know Matt isn’t raking in the dough from this site, but just maybe a day with no ad clicks would be an attention getter.

Nah, I’m not looking to lead the revolution. I’m just suggesting that everyone could take a break from X-E for a day or two and then just maybe we could get a new SNT or some kind of update. There’s a lot of great sites out there and maybe they should get our attention just for a short time. Why, just today I not only saw peanut butter made from scratch, but consumed by an X-E regular :)

Don’t feel bad, there’s no reason you should remember the name. I used to post as Saint, but then someone else started using the name during one of my extended absences. I didn’t want to be associated with what this other person was posting, so I decided to honor domo-kun with my new name :)
Don’t get me wrong on the not posting deal. I have always said that Matt should post on his schedule, not ours. I just hate to see this community turn into a bunch of name calling and personal attacks. So I thought that maybe if some people stepped back for awhile, maybe there would be something new when they returned ad that would bring back some peace and love…at least until the next time that there’s a gap in postings.

Horror films that NEED to be remade? Well, I’m not an expert on horror films, nor am I a big fan of remakes, but it might be interesting to see what they could do with Pet Semetary.

It’s September, yay! I have a lot going on this month (well, for me it’s a lot). The 12th is our first anniversary and we’re going to go out and have a good time, dammit. Then the weekend after that, I’m going down to Fort Worth to visit a friend I haven’t seen in a long time. And then at the end of the month, my dad is moving back to the area, which is awesome because I won’t have to drive for an hour to see him.

Anyone else have anything going on?
