Aloha!

Too much negativity.

I would like to THANK the Matt. We just got back from our honeymoon in Disney World (at the Poly no less hence the Aloha!). Now let me tell you, I would have never gone there had I not read Matt’s article years back. It was not the kind of place I thought I would enjoy at all but he made it sound so amazing that I knew one day I would have to see it. I am happy to say that it was the best vacation I have ever had and my wife and I have this site to thank for it. We rode, saw, and experienced everything that Disney World has to offer and it was really fun.

For fun, on the plane ride home we re-read his article and were amazed to see that we shared almost all the same feelings and experiences in the parks. We can’t wait to go back and can’t believe that our honeymoon might not have been what it was were it not for Matt and x-entertainment. Thanks man for the inspiration to go, we will always remember it and the article that made it a reality.

I was at the store today and saw a bunch of workers pulling out boxes marked for Halloween. I have never been more excited for it! I can’t believe it’s only 2 months away, then the runoff to Thanksgiving and Christmas!!!!!

So today Target has some Halloween stuff out, it’s sparse, but they are well on their way. Also, the craft stores seem to be gearing up for the spooky fun. We bought a Halloween flag for outside that has Linus waiting in the pumpkin patch on it, it makes me dance.

I noticed a comment that was really rude a few posts up was removed, could that mean that Matt is around, is this a sign? Either way, it’s almost Halloween you guys.

I agree with Governator, there was a post up a day or two ago that was just someone being really rude to another X-Eer and it was removed. What is Matt waiting for? I almost feel like there is a code we’re supposed to break, that, or, he’s just been buys.

I rely on Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas to revive Matt. If he stays away for the months of October, November and December I’ll truly be worried. Not just for the site, but for Matt. Well, and for us, it’ll be like not having a Christmas tree or not having Jack-o-lanterns.

An obscure X-E favorite of mine is the article about Matt’s finds at a mom & pop video rental store, “Easy Video” (including tons of expired junk food, like Jurassic Park cookies)… I can’t believe that one was done back in 2003. Wow, I feel old.

I was at Target today, getting carrots, and saw the first of the autumnal/Halloweeny candies on the shelves…Hershey’s Candy Corn Kisses. Seriously, white and yellow and orange kisses that taste kinda’ sorta’ maybe like candy corn? I am considering their uses now. I thought about those peanut butter cookies with the chocolate kisses atop them…but peanut butter and corn (even if it IS of the candy genus) just doesn’t jive with me. Nor does chocolate cookies with candy corn. I’m at a loss, as cookies go. Thoughts?

I love me some cookies, and I love me some candy corn. But those two things have no business at all sharing the same space.

I agree with what some of you folks are saying. So far I’ve been really patient and not worried at all, and chalked Matt’s absence up to him just being busy. But if Halloween comes and goes and he hasn’t made a peep, I’m gonna start getting concerned.

as for all the haters, what do you care if people post in a dead thread? How does it effect you? In Matt’s absence, a new community has sprung forth (admitedly a strange and nearly unmanageable single thread community, but you work with what you have.) Even if Matt never comes back, there will still be some of us hanging out here, waiting the ridiculous load time, until Matt becomes more legend than reality…like the mighty Sphinx or cunning Chupacabra…

Happy Monday all!Saturday was mine and the woman’s 4 year anniversary.We went and saw Halloween II….BRUTAL!I don’t understand why everyone has been so hard on the remakes of some classics.I know I’m pumped for the the new Nightmare on Elm St.Also went to the Christmas Tree shop.If you have one near you…go.We got some great Halloween decorations.One of the coolest is the foam skull with green LED lights.So last day of August.Does that mean a countdown will start tomorrow? :)

I went to Lowes on Saturday and they have all sorts of Halloween stuff out. It’s starting really early this year.

I’ve moved on from my (very brief) period of bitterness over no updates. I’m now just hoping that Matt’s doing okay.

So yeah, Halloween stuff is already out in force in my neck of the woods! They already opened the annual Halloween store, except it’s in the mall this year. I think I might drop in there and see what’s up. Also I have the urge to go find some cute Halloween-themed cookie cutters or something.

Since the usual party-hoster of our circle of friends isn’t really in the position to throw parties anymore, maybe I should do it this year. I doubt I could get anybody to come but it’s worth a shot!

Ok all you halloween experts, I need some suggestions on costumes for my kids. My son will be 3 Wednesday and my daughter is 15 months. Not walking yet but hopefully wii be by halloween. I want to dress them so they go together (like Peter Pan and Tinkerbell, or maybe Minnie and Mickey). We dont have alot of money, so whatever I do will have to be mostly homemade. Ideas?
