Deej that is so fucking cool. My line of work never lets me do cool shit like have a hand in bad horror movies. The most exciting thing that usually happens is sometimes I’ll come across Dr. visits from people I went to high school with and find out they have herpes or some shit.
DJD: That’s AWESOME that you worked on a horror flick!
Anyway, Happy SNT ya’ll! As for my fav horror moments,
Watching Hellraiser, Exorcist and Evil Dead for the first time. I’ll name off some more later.

SNT ftw! I remember my Senior Prom. I went with my childhood pal, and I remember wanting to have a Miss Elizabeth type of dress. I was such a wrestling fan tard at the time omg. I wore a gold sequined dress with gold laces tied up the back…like a ballerina outfit kind of. And elbow length black gloves. woo.

Mystie: 2 words: Blackmail material.
“Head, Dead” (as those of us who worked on it call it) was definitely one of the most unique experiences I’ve ever had working on a movie. I also worked on The Patriot, Radio, and The Notebook, doing totally different things for each one. But Head, Dead was the only one that allowed me the joy of playing with turtles and pumping fake blood out of a gaping chest wound attached to a topless famous B-movie actress.
DJ D- I was a a graduation party earlier this evening, and for a brief while we discussed possible new Olympic events. Javelin catching came up. I think that would wind up like the priest in “The Omen”. (See, I got to the point!)
Y’all- Favorite horror movie moments. Hmm. I enjoyed “Poltergeist” altogether too much the first time I watched it. I’ve seen it about 4 or 5 times in the last 3 months. Oh, I have begun to asemble my summer horror multimedia list it includes-
Pet Semetary- Check!
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies- Check! (THANK YOU, to a certain X-E-er!)
Nightmare Before Christmas- Not yet
Poltergeist- Not yet
October Dreams- Nope
A Very Scary Solstice- Not yet
Dead beats and Head Treats- DO WANT!
Evil Dead II- Not Yet
AND MANY MORE! I’m gonna have a kick-ass summer!

I didn’t go to my High School Prom. Of course, I didn’t have a girlfriend, I hate social situations like dances, I don’t like the 90s-early 2000 music they would have played, and I wouldn’t be able to talk to anyone on account of the music being too damn loud.
So I think I made the right decision.
Hell, other than my fraternity Formals (which were not a huge deal like some Fraternities have), I haven’t been to a “dance” in over a decade….

Cameron T.: I never liked any of that stuff either.
My other fav horror moments are when I first saw The Thing and The Fly. The remakes. The scene where the alien first revealed itself in the arctic research station, disguised as a dog, was really cool. As for the fly, I liked the scene where Seth see the image of the fly on his computer for the first time. The ominous music that plays during that scene fits it very well.

I have a habit of remembering small snippets of random movies I see on T.V.- I saw this once. I now know what it is, but I still get it stuck in my head. I apologize in advance, but I need to post this- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIHUv2ooG38

Back from Prom. Weird.
It was fun – the kids dragged me out on the dance floor a lot, I got a lot of cheers for my ‘dancing’ (especially when I grabbed the French teacher and we did a slow dance – lots of yells for that one)
I teach at a VERY small school. The grad class has 31 kids. So it was a very emotional night and heartwarming and stuff.
Glad to be back home with my beer and my SNL/SNT

That sounds really sweet, Muppet Baby!
I’m cramming for a final tonight, but I had to take a break to check out the Nerd Prom (aka the WH Correspondents’ Dinner) and wish everybody a happy SNT.
One horror movie memory that pops into mind is a jr. high bus trip spent with a copy of The Shining and a fellow band nerd/budding Stephen King fan coming up with our dream recasting. We still wanted Jack for Jack, but then he was a bit more spry back then. Also, the time I was watching Planet Terror on DVD for the first time and crammed a big hank of sushi into my maw just at the scene where Quentin Tarantino starts…melting.
Good luck with finals and congrats on graduating, for anybody it’s applicable to Happy Saturday to everybody else.

Haven’t been here in a couple of years, but I suddenly remembered this blog and its SNTs and infrequent updates and I just thought I’d say… hi.

Favorite horror movie moment? Watching the first Friday the 13th at a sleepover and SCREAMING at the end when Jason popped outta that lake.

Remember that one year (I think it was during a summer megaparty… or was it Halloween….) and we were all watching F13 movies on TV at the same time and commenting on the blog? God that was great.
I have tasted the sweet sweet nectar of the gods that is called Pepsi-cola Throwback…and it was sublime.
In all seriousness, it goes down very smooth. The carbonation seemed much less noticeable. I liked that. Would drink again. But not right away since it’s 5 weight watcher points. I had some daily points left over today and planned for this 20 oz soda…it was worth it.
Chestnuts roasted by mandy_Reeves @ 05/10/2009 1:54 AM
I meant to post the above post earlier but forgot to.
On second sip….the soda left me extremely thirsty. Very odd.

I’m disappointed.

Huh. I could have sworn there’d be a new SNT tonight. Oh well. I’m enjoying this fine Saturday night/Sunday mornin’ with my wife and now 21-year-old friend.
With that in mind we’re all quite drunk.
I know Matt would be proud of a turn of events quite like this.
Then again, I don’t know him personally. I just feel I do because I read so many of his things.
Perhaps it’s the face he likes to show us but doesn’t neecesarrily reflect his true personality.
Either way. Happy SNT to all! And a special shout out to all my Tauruses in the house!

Happy SNT-early-SUN-morn!
My husband has had the Pepsi throwback and said he was “underwhelmed.” I told him to wait for the Coke classic. I’m an unapologetic Coke fan.
I stopped in, much like Lucky — drunk and thinking there’d be a new SNT to join in on. I check in every so often, but as my work seems to be eating my whole life these days, I’m not commenting enough.
I can, however, recommend Knob Creek quite highly for those looking for a nice, sippable bourbon but not looking to break the bank.
Hope this finds everyone well! Things should slow down a bit this week for me at work, and then vacation week after next *happy dance*. Anyone picked up a “Star Trek” glass from Burger King? Are they worth, well… eating at Burger King?
Chestnuts roasted by Reni @ 05/10/2009 5:19 AM
My brother and I got a couple of those Burger King glasses, and they are totally worth it. Really cool designs (commemorating an incredible movie).
Last night SNL was the one of the greatest in it’s history. Appearences by Susan Sarandon, Laura Linney, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Leonard Nimoy, and Jimmy Fallon (although this one was expected because of who hosted). Plus, if the pirate sketch and the immigrants coming to America sketch don’t become instant classics, there is no humor left in the world.
Chestnuts roasted by King JLA @ 05/10/2009 9:25 AM
I ought to go get me one of those glasses. Is it just me or have they not done collectible glasses for a movie in a long time?
Mystie, I totally remember that F13 night and it was a fucking blast. I think that was during the 2007 Megaparty. Definitely one of my favorite X-E memories.
Watch my dying tribute to crystal pepsi, and retrotainment on “the god blesser” on YouTube.

I officially crown this the 700th comment. And all rejoiced. Praise Photog!
I was thinking about snagging one of those Star Trek glasses too. If anything, for nostalgia’s sake, thinking back to when cool movie glasses used to be all the rage and made you excited to go get crappy fast food (which actually didn’t seem that crappy back then). Of course, I’m shooting for the Spock one. The last time I remember the movie glasses thing happening was with Batman Forever. I still have 2 of those.
