Pepsi Throwback came out almost three weeks ago. I’ve looked EVERYWHERE, but still haven’t found it. I heard it’s only going to be out for eight weeks. Has anyone seen it within 50 miles of Los Angeles?
DarkSideofBrightness – “Raincoat Cheese” gives me mental images of some type of pervert, nasty old man cheese, flashing little girls in his raincoat. Thanks!

The raincoat cheese post above was me….sorry.

Just saw Star Trek.
Better than Wolverine!

And I’m not biased, I thought I’d add. I am more of an X-Men fanboy than a Trekkie or Trekker or whatever the hell, who cares. Well done flick.
It just sucks Simon Pegg didn’t show until the last 45 minutes.

Epic megaparty you say? Ah, yes… surely that could revive the faith of the masses…
Dude my fiance finally got a fucking job in my area, so I’ll finally be able to set the wheels in motion to move the fuck out of my parents’ house and get an apartment. High fives all around.
american cheese serves it’s purpose for various meals… on my sandwich/burger i prefer cheddar. i’ve yet to locate pepsi throwback anywhere in the long beach area of so-cal. that’s what i need to spice up the summer, limited time only soda pop. i’m just about ready to go to my favorite mega-mart and demand overtly sugary goodness!

Is this site officially dead?
Chestnuts roasted by Jeff @ 05/08/2009 8:22 AM
Not officially, Jeff! Just in sort of a de facto way. It ain’t over ’till the File’s Not Found.
I don’t know, but the comments about it being dead are officially old.
I finally found Pepsi Throwback at Walmart. They had the 12-packs buried under the 24-packs of regular Pepsi. We had to dig one out. Maybe the corn mafia is taking issue with Pepsi Throwback.
As for the taste, it’s way smoother than regular but still too damn sweet for my taste, so I only drank like one and a half cans out of the whole thing. The rest went to my husband and a couple other people. XD
I got a 12 pack of Pepsi Throwback in the fridge right now. I agree with Annette. It’s not as “harsh” as regular Pepsi, but the sweetness is a bit much. I dunno…I still prefer Coke anyway. And Dr. Pepper reigns supreme above all in my house.
I’m I the only person on Earth still drinking Tab? I thought it was strictly an 80s thing, but several months ago I found it on my store shelves and tried it. For sugar-free soda, it’s remarkably good. Imagine sugar-free RC Cola, and you’re in the ballpark. Good stuff if you drink diet soda, and you can find it.

Re: The new Star Trek. At first I was a little butthurt at the notion of “rebooting” (God I hate that term) the original Star Trek, but when I thought about it, it actually kind of makes sense. I mean, the original series was 40 years ago. The original actors are now in their 70s. It’s really not possible to go back to that well anymore. If we want to go back to that original Trek universe, a reboot with new actors is required. I’m hearing good things about the flick, so I’m actually eager to see it now, after some initial aprehension. It sounds like if you go see it with an open mind, you’ll have a good time. I’ll wait a few weeks to see it, after the initial wave of mania dies down.

I couldn’t get on here for about 12 hours. Scared me.
The weather is finally sunny here again. Man, a week’s worth of rain after 90 degree temps is a real bummer. I hate it when it’s hot, but the cloudy weather makes me feel like a big, fat blah-cake. While I do love the fall, I think the reason I like it so much is b/c it feels so great after the hot summer. I think fall is our prize for sweating and swatting mosquitoes for 3 months.
Kingklash, it’s good to hear that you’re still on a pills-only regimen. I hate needles. I know I have a 99% chance of having diabetes at some point (I had diet-controlled gestational diabetes w/ 2 out of 3 pregnancies, and both maternal and paternal grandfathers used insulin from about age 50 on). I stil check my sugar levels about once a month, and so far my two hour levels have been between 90-115. So far, so good! How is your little brother doing?
Does anyone here drink Moxie? I love Moxie and sarsparilla sodas. I have dead taste buds, so anything w/ a strong taste pleases me.

I’m not a huge Trekkie, but I like ST enough to go see the new flick. The new pepsi sounds good. I’ll have to try it. Oh and by the way, Pepsi is better than Coke.
