September 22, 2009 is the first day of fall. Just around four months away! Dont get me wrong the summer will bring good times and I love it. However, there is no denying fall and winter is the best time of the year.

The best things about summer:
- Ice cream tastes even better when it’s 100 degrees outside
- Lots of pretty plants to look at
- Summer Megaparty
And that’s it. Everything else about summer sucks.

Road trips are hands down the best part of summer. Mega Party is great but I am not getting my hopes up for it just yet.
For me the best part of road trips are the gas stations. I dig stopping at those huge truck stops by the highway just to see what they sell. I am always amazed.

I’m very much enjoyin Spring and lookin forward to Summer. I love all the Fall and Winter holidays, but there HAS to be at least one season where hardly anything happens! I would go outright CRAZY if the WHOLE year was full of holidays.

The building’s built, the signs are up, the personnel are trained and orientated, and the public awaits. Tomorrow, the new McDonald’s will officially open and any big Mcdeals that happen over the warm months will happen here in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Maybe even the McRib!

I’ve always wanted to try a McRib. Maybe if they come back this year I might just have myself one.
McRibs are awesome. My heart breaks each time my beloved McRib is taken away again. I even wrote a Haiku about the McRib some time back.
One word of warning, though – don’t even attempt to eat one unless you have like, 850 napkins ready at your side.

Same deal with the McDonalds not far from where I work. And the McDonalds in my hometown was completely rebuilt a year ago.

I guess I’m in the minority of people who aren’t crazy about the McRib. I guess the biggest reason I don’t like it is I’m not sure exactly what the hell it is I’m eating!

Nothing interesting, but I just notice when these little coincidences come up.
On topic, im not so crazy about the McRib, but love McDonalds overall. I swear that those the fries and nuggets are so good that the recipie for them must have been passed down from god himself.

I read somewhere that McDonalds is one of the only businesses actually making tons of money right now. I guess people are giving up their Outback Steakhouses and Pub 99s for some good ol’ fashioned deep frying.
I don’t get people who can go to McDs and not order french fries. I have got to get my greasy salt on, people! Of course, I feel like an ass when my kids order Happy Meals w/ apple dippers and crap, while I’m eating 300 calories worth of small fries. I can’t just sit there, smelling those crispy critters sizzling away, and not get any. Is there a 12 step program I should be calling on? Sigh…

A boring passage from the life of Palmerholic…
Well, I’m done with finals and now I’m waiting for the financial aid computer geeks to fix some mess-up with my name (First name in the last name box, last name in the first name box). What’s making it harder for me is that I couldn’t get on the database to fix the error because the name reversal fouled up things, so I sent out that yellow paperwork and now I have to wait a week or so to see if they fixed it. I fear that it won’t get fixed in time for me to pick classes for the Summer semester.
In the meantime I think I’ll just chill out, catch up on some books and old Game Cube games. I’m sure Matt will be back as well, SOMETHING among all the Summer season movies, candy and gadgets will catch his eye. I’m starting to notice that neon is making a nasty comeback. D:

The Trajeal family feels the same way about KFC (or KGC, depending on your choice preference). If there’s ever a case of dehydration- or medicinally-induced constipation here, we know a trip to the Colonel’s will free the offended right up.
I wonder if they’ll ever show the foods from McDs on “How It’s Made”? I’d love to see the McRub mold or the fry slicer in action.

Just out of curiosity, who wrote the X-E article on Wikipedia? It was great, stumbling across that and seeing so many favorite articles mentioned. Matt’s long weekend trips will always be my favorites. I still have a bottle of Pepsi in my basement, waiting to turn clear w/ age.

Yeah trajeal, maybe we shouldn’t open that can of worms… It breeds some extreme hostility and has the potential to completely fuck the normalcy we seem to have achieved.

I wonder if if Matt’s absence is really just some elaborate plan to get us to really think of how much he and the site means to us?
I also wonder if he somehow ended up like Giligan’s Island, being stuck on some deserted island with a big long beard?
I know that he doesn’t owe any of us a single thing, but 5 months has gone by with just a few articles on the site.
If you’ve noticed, I think it was about 2007 when he really started to cut back on the articles. Maybe he’s just finally over this site, forgotten about us, and moved on in his life.
Matt, if you’re reading this, you’re still ok in my book. I think you should go out with a bang. Don’t leave the site like this, please just give us one last hoorah.
Can anyone believe it’s just 5 more months until Halloween? The years go by so fast, better start making my bucket list.
