Nah, just a surprisingly normal guy. He was guest of honor at my brother’s video game show this weekend, and when he came to the door it took me a minute to even register who he was… but then again I was looking at hundreds of video game nerds all day. He has fangirls, too, surprisingly enough. A couple of chicks came in all squeeing and asking me when he was coming. Signed tons of autographs, took a couple photos, bought an Aquarius, and left.
I went to a convention this weekend myself, though infinitely less interesting than a video game one. Every year I go with a buddy and his grandpa to an old time radio convention. It is quite literally one of the least thrilling evenings you can imagine but last year I got to see Robert Easton perform in a radio recreation so there are highlights. This year? Miles from Golden Girls

From what I unnerstan’, The X used to have a forum page, but it was even more unmoderated than these here blog pages, amazingly. Got too out of control, and were given the boot. Look it up on Wikipedia, they have links to what were active forums for disaffected posters to gather who used to chaotically gather and be real freaks. Don’t know if they are still going.

I have a question about a twist ending that I never understood. At least, I was told it was considered a surprise/twist ending, but I just don’t see it. It’s the ending of Fargo. Now, I get the movie itself. What I don’t get, was how talking about duck stamp contests and two more months of pregnancy is considered a twist? What am I missing here?
Best twist that I actually got? Hmm, let’s see… how about Frailty? Oh, and Sleepaway Camp was a good one, too.
As for Matt’s infrequent updates – in a way, I like it that we usually have to wait for any kind of article or entry. It’s so much more exciting to read something after not having anything new for awhile. It’s like opening your mail box and finding out an old friend has sent you a present for no special reason. Randomly placed X-mas gifts. (Yes, I know. I am so punny, right?)

Where he is now, there is no penalty for indulging in an entire box of Funny Bones. And thousands of beautiful women stand in line for hours at a time, just for the honor of rubbing his massive shoulders. And whatever else he wants.
He can share a filthy night of ecstacy with Bea Arthur any time he wants, and as I personally know, Bea don’t play around. Bea does it ALL.
He is revered by certain members of my faith for his slackful ways. As such, he is in SubGenius heaven now, and all we can do is envy him until the grim reaper points his bony finger in our faces.

I have an idea… why don’t we just make an “unofficial XE message board” Not everything we do has to run through Matt, you know. I’m sure there is some type of Pro Boards or something we can set up. And I doubt he’d care if we posted links to it on here.
