SNL is a rerun, just like it has been for the last ten years…

Well happy SNT ya’ll.
Muppet Baby: Get better. Bein sick sucks, but having something good to watch always help you through it. My allergies have begun to act up on me, like they always do this time of year. I can’t even breath right now.
For a topic ,I suggest best movie plot twist youv’e ever seen. Discuss.

Hmmm….Movie Plot twist….
I loved the one in “The Village” Sure, it’s Twilight Zone, but that’s the kind of thing I like…
I went to Toys R Us today and they had about five million Star Trek and Terminator toys. Including “Endoskeleton Dress up Kits” which were basically plastic fake machine bits that you’re supposed to glue to your face. But they also had a Voice-changer helmet (in the vein of the popular Darth Vader ones) for a T-600. Creepy…
Oh, and I found Star Trek cereal the other day. Didn’t buy it. Click my name for a picture.
And Muppet Baby, hope you feel better!

I haven’t been here in a while, and I apologize. I need to change my inactivity.
Ultraman, that’s a fun question. I think The Usual Suspects has the ultimate twist ending. Out of the M. Night movies, I was always partial to the twist in Unbreakable.
Congrats, Invader Norbert! I’m gradjeeating this month myself, though I won’t be through with school yet. Yay for expensive papers with your name on them!

Thanks, peeps. I do feel a bit better – managed to eat. SNL is not a new one, but since I haven’t seen it, it’s all good!
Favorite movie twist? Se7en. “What’s in the box??”
Chestnuts roasted by Muppet Baby @ 05/03/2009 12:34 AM
My top 3 movie twists in order are
1.Usual Suspects
2.Fight Club
3.Se7en
All of these twists just COMPLETELY blew me away the first time I saw them.

Deej my biggest gripe about the G.I.Joe movie is who’s playing Cobra Commander. It’s Tommy from 3rd Rock from the Sun!! WTF?!?! Seriously?
And it’s nice to know that even though I’ve been gone for so long the whiners bitching about no new article are still around. No one forces you to come here people, if your that unhappy about no new updates then stop coming here and bitching about it!! Those of us who are regulars are used to the sporadic updates and come here anyway for the company, the articles are just a bonus!
Sorry, just had to get that bit of silliness out of the way first.
Wow, I had no idea that that was that 3rd Rock From the Sun kid. That’s just…well, I’m not sure what to make of that really.
Favorite movie twist? I agree with all the ones mentioned so far–especially The Usual Suspects. That’s probably #1. I’m sorry but I do have to put The Sixth Sense in there somewhere. I pride myself on being pretty sharp about these things and can usually call it before it happens but that one totally got by me the first time I saw it. I felt like a total idiot too.
And hey, Boots the Monkey: I rarely ever go through the trouble of getting into an internet argument with somebody because it’s just childish and well, ridiculous. Plus, arguing with you would only further add to the negativity that you’re spreading and that is annoying me and pretty much everyone here. Usually, my line is to just ignore people like you and eventually you’ll go away. But I, and everyone else, have been reading your whiny comments for a while now, and I gotta say, I’ll never understand the logic of making real effort to go to a site several times a day only to bitch about how much you don’t like it anymore. I mean, don’t you have something else better to do? If you’re not satisfied with it or the people that are there and what they’re talking about, then move on. Go somewhere else. I’m sure we’ll be fine without you. You’re like a desperate ex-girlfriend, driving by your ex’s house at 4:00 in the morning and calling all day just to hang up. Get over it already. The majority of the people here DON’T feel the way you do and are fine just coming to discuss things and understand that occasionally Matt doesn’t update every 5 minutes. The only real problems we have around here are idiot trolls and people like you who only post just to bitch and moan. I mean, we get your point. You’re unhappy with the lack of updates. Fine. You’ve said it. Many times. And I’m sure Matt’s read it. Now get over it. He’s either going to update or he’s not. Contrary to what you may believe, our lives don’t revolve around whether he does or not.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt is an incredible actor. I just saw Mysterious Skin, he was really impressive.
Chestnuts roasted by Ford @ 05/03/2009 9:15 AM
He may be a good actor but he is not Cobra Commander. This casting is terrible, very reminiscent of Topher Grace as Eddie Brock. Lame.
Chestnuts roasted by drew do @ 05/03/2009 10:20 AM
Another good movie twist is from a foreign film called “Oldboy.” Graphic, but really good.

HOLY SH@T! Has anyone seen these wonderful new figures? They are so so so so so well done! At least In my honest opinion. I was at Toys R us this morning due to it being next door to the Weight Watchers I ended up going to this week bc I have no time the coming week for my regular locations meetings.
Spock looked EPIC! The giant modern GI Joe size figures are well detailed and not to steep;y priced at 29.99
Very nice packaging, and spock comes with an extra hand that does his finger spready thing! Like you pull off the regular hand and put on the spreaded finger one.
I like the little action figures too.
They are standard size, like old school GI joes and star wars figures….on sale for 6.99 or 2 for 9.99
My money was home, otherwise I would have gotten Sulu, just so I could have a Harold action figure, in case y’know, mcfarlane comes out with House MD figures and they make one of Kal Penn’s character, then I would have Harold and Kumar.
They had communicators and play sets too…omg it was like looking into a glorious time machine…I shed a tear.
Oh they had these other trek things that look like mighty muggs but are called qurocs or quorks or something…

I wonder if the toys will actually sell at all. I also think they’re well done but am not sure that kids will actually be interested in seeing the movie. I have an idea that this movie will not work for most kids and adults will be the main audience.
Do you guys think this movie will actually re-establish interest in the Star Trek series for young kids or just cater to already established fans?
Chestnuts roasted by drew do @ 05/03/2009 1:56 PM
Drew Do: That’s a good question. I know when I was a kid I was a big fan of The Next Generation, and collected the old Kenner toys from the series. Not just the aliens, either. I may have had the entire collection, too, minus the playsets.
Chestnuts roasted by King JLA @ 05/03/2009 2:11 PM
Ultraman: Thanks for the welcome back, I’ve missed you guys!!!
Deej: Your my hero, I know we’ve discussed this many times amongst ourselves but still good to see it expressed for the rest of the trolls.
Ford: I’m not knocking Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s acting ability either it’s like drew do said though, he’s no Cobra Commander.
Well, I failed…
I went to see Ghost of Girlfriends Past but I failed to see Wolverine and I was planning to see both.
Oh well, maybe next weekend I’ll see Wolverine although I’ve already seen the workprint months ago.
BTW, make fun of Romantic Comedies all you want, but Ghosts is worth it just for the Michael Douglas scenes. He should have played the swinger uncle YEARS ago.

I hear there’s going to be new Star Trek Glasses!
Matt you listening? This is right up your ally!
Matt?
Matt?

I was wondering if Playmobil still sells the circus playset.
I was thinking of looking for whats his face…the clown guy.

I was just about to come here and gush about the cool Star Trek toys, but mandy beat me to it! I wanted to buy them so freaking bad, especially that badass phaser toy.
