Count me in as psyched for Watchmen. I’m ashamed to admit it, but I’m just now getting around to reading the graphic novel. When it was actually new and all the rage, I was a kid reading comic books, but for some reason the whole “ZOMG! Adult themes!” thing didn’t really capture my attention. I was more interested in a super-duper heroes in bright spandex than complex anti-heroes with real world problems.
I’m glad I didn’t attempt to read it as a 12 year-old knucklehead though, because I’m sure I would have been turned off by the dark undertones and a story that was grounded in Cold War reality. I probably would have ditched the book and never come back to it. I’m reading it now with fresh eyes and I’m totally immersed in it. It’s a fascinating read and a real treat.
I’m skeptical that the movie will be able to capture the full spirit of the book (for instance, I hear the whole Black Freighter subplot is going to be a totally separate mini-film. WTF?). What little I’ve seen in the previews seems to be promising, though.

Goob: Absolutely, I’ll likely buy the upgrade license if its being discounted for a limited time, yet not do anything with it until some kinks are worked out. I think that’s why my Vista experience has been satisfactory, I got it almost two years after it came out.

Fake Barry, do what the rest of us have done. Give up hope on any meaningful updates and use the site as a forum. I was mad about the AC bullshit myself, but just say screw it man. Like anyone here remembers the storyline anyways lol. So forget Matt, who cares if he doesnt give a crap, talk to the people here that do. There’s apparently plenty of em.
Peace, Pot, Microdot……Order in the court

What I’m actually betting is a “Remanufactured” Panasonic Toughbook CF-27. Not a lot of current gizmos, but lots of potential for add-ons and upgrading. Also, that comical “anti-theft” feature from the cell phone ad. More like “anti-theft/pro-concussion” feature, if you’ve ever seen a Toughbook. And it helps avoid the “owe me a new keyboard” thing, since while researching it, I found a amazing amount of photos of people pouring water right on a running Toughbook. While it’s on Mail order lay-away, I’ve been looking at the accessories offered at the local Wal-Mart, and already have my eye on a little four-port USB hub, among other things.
Circle, circle, dot, dot…….. I’ll have a ham on cheese, Kosher dill, chips and a diet cream soda, M.B. Truth is stranger than fiction, Judgey-wudgey. Nyuck-nyuck!

Pizza Hut is doing a deal where if you buy a large pizza at regular price, you can get a medium pizza for a penny, so I had delicious pizza today.

The Digital Switchover happens today here in the Sooner State, the OKC Thunder unveils its’ mascot tonight (I hope its a giant pair of thighs), and Groundbreaking for the Anadarko McDonalds was today! Ran-ran ruu! And it’s kite weather again, too.

no JLAJRC, it appears to be true… apparently in April there will be a Jane Austen style zombie movie, and then next year its Pride and Predator… i wonder if the predators will be all like… steampunk and whatnot… I dont know about you, but steampunk predator aliens is something i would pay to see!
Tommy!: Actually, just to be technical, Pennywise is some sort of cosmic being. The spider form the losers club saw at the end of the story was simply all their minds could handle seein, so that’s what PW true form was to them. His REAL true form is that of dead light. Not tryin to change yur mind, just pointin that out. Yes I’m a nerd for knowin that. lol

Yo, this thred is Krazy YO! Anyway just thought I’d reply to some of the topics.
1. The new F13 looks promising, but I think I’m gonna wait for the DVD.
2. WATCHMEN looks like the shit, and is definatly on my list of things to see.
3. Had a good V-Day. Got the wife some flowers and a CD. She ordered my present off of Amazon so I get it some time this week. Unfortunatly, the wife and I had a romantic/sexy evening planed. Then she got a chest cold and the gift from mother nature on the 12th. She says she will make it up to me later, which is nice.
4. Has anyone thought of the possability that F.Scott is actually X-E Matt! Just thought I’d throw that out there.
