Hmmm. I’ve heard of this Watchmen book before, but I’ve never read it. Maybe I should.

I’m not a big comic reader, in fact, the last ones I had read were NFL Superpro and Ultraverse Prime. I bought Watchmen a month or so ago so I’d have some backstory for the movie, and holy shit, it was fantastic.

ULTRAMAN- But, Pennywise doesn’t have… NOSE ENERGY!

WHY DOES IT INSIST ON GARBLING MY NAME?!?

I got Watchmen for Christmas, and I have to agree, it really is fantastic. More recently I picked up a new book called 08: A Graphic Diary of the Campaign Trail and I thought it was very entertaining as well. A little too heavily focused on the primaries, and a bit skewed towards the winner, but overall it’s a great little time capsule.
Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown is sweet. Kid never gives up hope.

I’ve been lurking about for awhile but I had to come on and announce that I have finally seen a slasher flick!
Every time the topic comes to horror movies I feel so left out, the only ones I have seen are the Scream movies and I don’t really even consider them to be good let alone horror movies. But tonight I saw Friday the 13th.
It had everything you guys and Matt have talked about, I honestly don’t think I would have enjoyed it as much as I did if it hadn’t been for this place! This stay at home mom feels so in with the in crowd right now
Happy V-day and SNT!

Neg what kind of pillow fight were you in that ended up with you clutching a pillow and standing in a pool of blood? did i interpret the picture incorrectly?
Mr. Fitzgerald, welcome back from the great beyond! The reposting of one of my favorite novels brings back high-school memories. Does this mean we’ll be seeing a finished version of “The Last Tycoon” some time soon?
Tommy, get yourself a copy of Silent Hill 2 and find out
I’ve got 3 copies. If you want one, just let me know on AIM or sth.

Thanks directed to ULTRAMAN & Goob. I posted that (Burger Shot Q) last night on a whim, after viewing the commercial, and didn’t have the motivation to research it until earlier today. It wasn’t until just now that I remembered that I posted about it here and returned to see if any of my fellow X-E’rs recalled the mini-flame-broiled patties that BK used to sling about nigh two decades ago. Thanks for the feedback. I knew I wasn’t crazy. Those things used to rule. Or at least my 10 year old self thought they did. Perhaps I should give them another go. Only my cholesterol attempts to argue, and when have I ever listened to that guy?
Oh, and Matt, I just got the first season of TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE delivered to me. I’m settling in to watch the episode “Anniversary Dinner.” I seem to recall that I read it was one of your favorites, or that at least you wrote an article (blog entry?) about it at some point. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it before, but I am a huge TFTD fan, so this one is for you pal.
Busy or not, I hope you are enjoying your Saturday night.

I want Charles Dickens to post the ending to The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Mr. Fitzgerald, could you go find him and see if he is willing to post it. Thanks. Its not polite to die in the middle of a mystery novel. I need closure.

Alexander I forgot to mention that on Monday I used a coupon that I got emailed to me from burger king for free burger shots with a purchase of a value meal. I thought they were just as good as the frozen burgers you can get at the supermarket. I would get them again if I had another coupon but I wouldn’t pay for them. They were just ok.
F. Scott Fitzgerald I hope this doesn’t make me look like a hypocrite but PLEASE if you want us to read something that is long put it on a blog and then provide a link. When you post comments that are very long like that people will find it annoying and won’t read it so it will defeat the purpose of writing it. And if you ask if I am a moderator the answer is yes. That is my answer for that from now on lol.
I’m kind of embarrassed to admit, I never really got The Great Gatsby. Maybe this is my chance
The cupcakes are ready! (scroll down) I got lazy and only made three Jasons so you may have to fight over them It’s a bit more of an abstract representation than the cake I did for the art contest, but on the other hand, Jason’s eyes are made of blueberries this time, so I’m calling win.

“Gatsby believed in the green light, blah blah blah.”
There, just saved you from reading the rest of the book.
(actually it’s excellent, and everyone should read it. But not on XE. Buy the book and support your local bookstore.)
I can’t remember if I posted this before, but I just found this webcomic about libraries. Click my name.

ULTRAMAN- I’m still in denial that fact that Tim Curry can play any other role than Dr. Frank-n-Furter. I do love the library scene though…

Comments on the New Friday13
When Jason was on screen it was rowdy row-
but it comes at the price of having to suffer through, what I found to be, some of the most painfully annoying and transparent characters ever put to screen (even for a slasher movie). the dialogue had me gritting my teeth and embarrassed.
but when it got time for the Jason parts it was all really good with a few nice homages to the earlier films that I enjoyed.
and hey.. anythings better than Jason in Space-
oh, and I can’t believe I forgot to mention this, but, it is heavily implied that Jason is a Pot farmer. seriously.

Goob- 1.- Have you been reading Fitzgerald’s posts?
2.- If your post is true, then God help us all. This blog is probably proof 200.
3.- It’s probably a BarryTroll.
4.- I’m also having doubts if that’s you, Goob…
