Just got back from BK. Had myself a whopper. Tasty. All the snow and ice is finally gone in my neck of the woods.
I’ll try to stop by later.

Kippers for breakfast, Aunt Helga?

Mike“mommy dear mommy dear
gott have ‘em in Texas
cause everyone’s a millionaire.”
And yeah, what was that? Chapters from The Great Gatsby? I read Life of Pi instead in the 11th grade.

Happy Valentine’s Day! I’d eat some discounted candy, but I have a terrible stomach virus at the moment.

Neg: That couldn’t have been me. I don’t plagarize anything. Everything I write are my own thoughts and opinions. IF I mention a quote or something from another source, I’ll be sure to mention the source or the person who made the quote. I am my own person! I am an Original!
Oh, and I might as well get this out in the open. I absolutely HATE Valentine’s Day! There, I said it. You can criticize me all you want. IT’s just my own opinion. If you’re married or with a significant other, it’s great, but if you’re single, it sucks! I’m single so guess what? It sucks for me.
Saw the new Friday the 13th movie yesterday. They said it was supposed to be a remake but I see nothing remade about it. It didn’t even seem like a continuation. Perhaps it was meant to be a new retelling of the story. I think I like the old telling better. That’s just my opinion.

Hello my sexy X-Es.
Valentine’s Day is just another day when you’re as full of passionate love and hate as I am.
All you single people aren’t going to find mates going to the Friday the 13th movie on a Friday night.

Amen, Rev.
Clearly a joke, settle down, BJ~

The ghost of Andy Kaufman haunts the X?
Chestnuts roasted by kingklash @ 02/14/2009 6:16 PM
Ken: I didn’t go on a Friday night. I went Friday afternoon. Friday night I was at the casino.
Just so you all know, I am not Andy Kaufman’s ghost. Now, how many of you women out there want to wrestle me?
Chestnuts roasted by BJ @ 02/14/2009 6:35 PM
Here’s what is worse than being single on Valentine’s Day. Having a SO who doesn’t believe in it when you do.
Oh, well.
Happy Saturday the 14th, people!

I also think Valentines Day is stupid – way for the stores to make $$$ between holidays.
Gonna play board games with another couple tonight, cuz I’m old like that.
Chestnuts roasted by Muppet Baby @ 02/14/2009 6:49 PM
The Chinese Buffet does a “all day dinner” for every holiday so I went there for lunch. About the only thing they do differently is serve crab legs, duck breast, and mussels but charge you two bucks extra. It was good.
I just got back from seeing Friday the 13th. Other than going over the first two movies in the beginning and finding his hockey mask, it was just another F13 installment. Don’t get me wrong, it was good, but it wasn’t anything special either. Just Jason vs a bunch of teens again.

i find the best way to spend valentines day is drinking heavily and refusing to speak to anyone… oops… well, there’s always next year!
LOL at X-E getting cited in the Blackwater rebranding article. Somebody checked Wikipedia! That is absolutely priceless.
SleepDeprived, thanks for the heads up! I’ve always loved that site but I only check it every few months when I need a Hostess fruit pies fix.
I’ve mentioned something along these lines already, but I’m calling it now that the highlights of Watchmen are going to be Gerard Butler as a pirate and Carla Gugino in stockings. I’d love to be proven wrong but I learned my lesson with 300.
Happy Valentine’s to anybody inclined to enjoy it. What do you say I whip up some cupcakes for the rest of us?
Chestnuts roasted by squee4242 @ 02/14/2009 8:20 PM
squee4242: I LOVE cupcakes!!! HAPPY SNT YA’LL!!!

Alright, I’m heading to Hyrule for the night.
Here’s that nude pic I promised. It’s a Silent Hill 2 spoiler, so if you haven’t finished that game, don’t click.
Okay, yeah it would have made a lot more sense if someone made a thread at Shrine, but hey the fact that they didn’t is pretty good in and of itself~
FITZGERALD- GET TO THE DRUNKEN PARTY ALREADY! WOOO!
I’ll repost for the sake of starting an SNT debate-
Advent Calendar Clown v.s Pennywise- who would win?
Chestnuts roasted by PlnatMonster @ 02/14/2009 9:28 PM
PlantMonster:I’m gonna go with Pennywise. He’s WAY too scary to lose. imo lol

TF (aka Magic Toy), you might be crazy, BUT BK DID have mini burgers in the ’80s. Someone (I forget who) posted a link to a commercial for them in the last thread…maybe the one before that. Oh, and the Burger Shots are pretty good.
Kid Nicky, I’ve been watching Brave and the Bold. I know there’s a lot of hate for it, but I dig it…it’s fun.
<b<kingklash, you beat me to the Andy Kaufman reference, but that was the first thing I thought of.
Happy unimaginative, consumerist-oriented and entirely arbitrary, manipulative & shallow interpretation of romance day.
The wife and I went to The Melting Pot for lunch (LOVE the freaking Melting Pot!) then we went to a candy store and spent too much money.
I’m excited about Watchmen, but I’ve never read it. The wife gave it to me for VD, and I plan on tackling it when I finish Cell, so I’ll be all caught up for the movie.
Chestnuts roasted by Teddy Ray @ 02/14/2009 11:04 PM
Kid Nicky: Haven’t read all of the other replies yet, but wanted to say this before I forget: Watchmen isn’t novel so much because it’s dark and edgy, it’s novel because the characters are so human. They’re very flawed; one can’t even get it up if he’s not in his costume, one is what Batman would be if he were real (basically, completely insane), and one has a highly questionable sense of what is right and wrong that makes the darkest “normal” hero look like a boyscout. I highly suggest reading it (right now it’s super easy to find) before watching the movie, and reading it twice is even better!
Chestnuts roasted by Dr. Sketch @ 02/14/2009 11:43 PM
Leigha: I read through the “Film Companion” for Watchmen (ie, a giant book of marketing that I had to pay for), and most of the characters look appropriately aged. The only one who concerns me a lot is Ozymandius, his actor looks on the young side even at the end of the movie, but I guess maybe it could be attributed to how well he’s kept himself in shape. I was impressed that the actor playing Night Owl 2 actually gained a bit of a paunch so that he could accurately portray how Dan had gotten out of shape after the Keene Act.
The actor playing Rorschach looks AWESOME, he looks exactly like the comic came to life, especially without his mask. Freaking unreal…
