Hmmm. I’ve heard of this Watchmen book before, but I’ve never read it. Maybe I should.

I’m not a big comic reader, in fact, the last ones I had read were NFL Superpro and Ultraverse Prime. I bought Watchmen a month or so ago so I’d have some backstory for the movie, and holy shit, it was fantastic.

ULTRAMAN- But, Pennywise doesn’t have… NOSE ENERGY!
I got Watchmen for Christmas, and I have to agree, it really is fantastic. More recently I picked up a new book called 08: A Graphic Diary of the Campaign Trail and I thought it was very entertaining as well. A little too heavily focused on the primaries, and a bit skewed towards the winner, but overall it’s a great little time capsule.
Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown is sweet. Kid never gives up hope.
Plantmonster:Pennywise IS energy!! Plus he’s played by Tim Curry! Nuff said!

I’ve been lurking about for awhile but I had to come on and announce that I have finally seen a slasher flick!
Every time the topic comes to horror movies I feel so left out, the only ones I have seen are the Scream movies and I don’t really even consider them to be good let alone horror movies. But tonight I saw Friday the 13th.
It had everything you guys and Matt have talked about, I honestly don’t think I would have enjoyed it as much as I did if it hadn’t been for this place! This stay at home mom feels so in with the in crowd right now
Happy V-day and SNT!

Neg what kind of pillow fight were you in that ended up with you clutching a pillow and standing in a pool of blood? did i interpret the picture incorrectly?
Mr. Fitzgerald, welcome back from the great beyond! The reposting of one of my favorite novels brings back high-school memories. Does this mean we’ll be seeing a finished version of “The Last Tycoon” some time soon?
Tommy, get yourself a copy of Silent Hill 2 and find out
I’ve got 3 copies. If you want one, just let me know on AIM or sth.

Thanks directed to ULTRAMAN & Goob. I posted that (Burger Shot Q) last night on a whim, after viewing the commercial, and didn’t have the motivation to research it until earlier today. It wasn’t until just now that I remembered that I posted about it here and returned to see if any of my fellow X-E’rs recalled the mini-flame-broiled patties that BK used to sling about nigh two decades ago. Thanks for the feedback. I knew I wasn’t crazy. Those things used to rule. Or at least my 10 year old self thought they did. Perhaps I should give them another go. Only my cholesterol attempts to argue, and when have I ever listened to that guy?
Oh, and Matt, I just got the first season of TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE delivered to me. I’m settling in to watch the episode “Anniversary Dinner.” I seem to recall that I read it was one of your favorites, or that at least you wrote an article (blog entry?) about it at some point. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it before, but I am a huge TFTD fan, so this one is for you pal.
Busy or not, I hope you are enjoying your Saturday night.

I want Charles Dickens to post the ending to The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Mr. Fitzgerald, could you go find him and see if he is willing to post it. Thanks. Its not polite to die in the middle of a mystery novel. I need closure.

Alexander I forgot to mention that on Monday I used a coupon that I got emailed to me from burger king for free burger shots with a purchase of a value meal. I thought they were just as good as the frozen burgers you can get at the supermarket. I would get them again if I had another coupon but I wouldn’t pay for them. They were just ok.
F. Scott Fitzgerald I hope this doesn’t make me look like a hypocrite but PLEASE if you want us to read something that is long put it on a blog and then provide a link. When you post comments that are very long like that people will find it annoying and won’t read it so it will defeat the purpose of writing it. And if you ask if I am a moderator the answer is yes. That is my answer for that from now on lol.
I’m kind of embarrassed to admit, I never really got The Great Gatsby. Maybe this is my chance
The cupcakes are ready! (scroll down) I got lazy and only made three Jasons so you may have to fight over them It’s a bit more of an abstract representation than the cake I did for the art contest, but on the other hand, Jason’s eyes are made of blueberries this time, so I’m calling win.
ULTRAMAN- I’m still in denial that fact that Tim Curry can play any other role than Dr. Frank-n-Furter. I do love the library scene though…
“Hello, mam! Is your refridgerator running? IT IS!…”
Comments on the New Friday13
When Jason was on screen it was rowdy row-
but it comes at the price of having to suffer through, what I found to be, some of the most painfully annoying and transparent characters ever put to screen (even for a slasher movie). the dialogue had me gritting my teeth and embarrassed.
but when it got time for the Jason parts it was all really good with a few nice homages to the earlier films that I enjoyed.
and hey.. anythings better than Jason in Space-
oh, and I can’t believe I forgot to mention this, but, it is heavily implied that Jason is a Pot farmer. seriously.

Goob- 1.- Have you been reading Fitzgerald’s posts?
2.- If your post is true, then God help us all. This blog is probably proof 200.
3.- It’s probably a BarryTroll.
4.- I’m also having doubts if that’s you, Goob…

Marvel started an imprint called “Marvel Illustrated” a couple of years takes classic books and turns them into comic book mini series. They haven’t done Gatsby yet, but I have read “Picture of Dorian Grey” and “Moby Dick” and preordered “Pride and Prejudice” Figured I’m never going to read the actual books, might as well read an adaptation.
Anyway, I friend of mine took me to see “Friday the 13th” yesterday and mentioned that they could probably permanantly kill him if they beheaded him, which almost happens in the new movie. That’s the only way of killing him they never tried yet. That makes sense to me. Is Jason secretly a Highlander?

Goob, I’ve just been scrolling past Fitzgerald, I suggest you do the same. I’m not here for literature, I’m here for geeky conversation, salacious comments from Rev., and talk of food I must seek out and find.
Speaking of food, squee4242, your blog made me hungry. Wanna ship some of those cupcakes?
I seriously just spent like 3 hours going through this site.

Jack~so sorry about your Allie girl, you have my condolences. I lost my cat this time last year, but she was a horrible thing who bit me and tried to kill me on more than one occasion. I figured it was going to come down to either her or me at some point. Whoot! I won. I have lost many other pets with whom I did share a warm relationship tho, so I feel for your loss.
Are there still any cupcakes available???
There are other worlds than these….

F. Scott Fitzgerald can eat me in Macy’s window. My “page down” key hasn’t seen this much action since the last full moon when the conspiracy theorists and kooks got a hard on for the viacom satanic plot in this newsgroup I read.
And so I beat off, like boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.
Let’s just forget the AC ever happened and move on. Who is ready for some Easter candy?!

Plantmonster,
Sometimes you just have to glance at the last page, just for a second, to fortify yourself with the strength to continue. If it makes you feel any better, I don’t beat off like that at all.

I assume Matt is still busy, and all of a sudden, we have Matt making another miraculous return, most of the Christmas stuff on the front page gone, dead writers doing novels on the comments, and people getting drunk. I always miss ALL the fun. :p
And no, I didn’t see Friday the 13th. I hate horror movies. Blood and I do not get along.
Anyone else watch SNL last night? Yes, I WAS drunk, and YES, I WAS watching the 4 AM repeat after getting home from fun times, but I thought most of it was quite hilarious!

What’s with the great gatsby shit? I go way for a day and.. Well I have to say I love the book but I have my own copy. I don’t need to read it here.
I saw Friday the 13th today. it was pretty good. (I have to say better than the origina, PLEASE DONT KILL ME, because for some reason, I couldn’t stop laughing at how ridiculous the original seemed)
And yes, I do believe Jason may have been a pot farmer, as someone mentioned earlier.
