Man Eating Chicken is dead.

Sorry I haven't posted...I've been watching the Super Bowl for two weeks straight!!

Hmmm. Work: Riotously busy, so I won't bother promising anything for this week. But maybe I'll surprise you. Also, I don't want to post once and then vanish for another month, so no worries there. The site's like a junked car. It's annoying to think about crawling under it to fix things, but once I do, it'll run smoothly.

To clarify: If I don't post for a while, it doesn't mean I died. But then again, I suppose it could?

Speaking of death, our last fish finally kicked. Now we have a 55 gallon fish tank with nothing but water in it. Sad, but now the opportunities are endless. Any ideas? I'm thinking blue crayfish and blue crayfish exclusively.

You know what else died?

My heart.

Ahh, the supabuh. I kind of wish it would have ended a bit more excitingly. As it stands, it was more “Penalty Bowl” than “Super Bowl”

Chestnuts roasted by The Dude @ 02/02/2009 1:45 AM

Err, Matt, not the fish…. Sorry bout the fish…. Sucks.

I honestly have never heard of blue crawfish (I cannot accept crayfish, sorry), but they look delicious.

Oh, I’ve been stalking blue crayfish for years. Maybe it’s a semi-local thing? Every pet store has had them here for years, and they cost about 10 times as much as the regular mud-colored crayfish. (But only twice as much as the also-superb lobster red crayfish.)

I think a tank full of those would be interesting, but I can’t remember if they’re the kind of creatures who wouldn’t mind eating each other.

Ditch the water and make a reptile habitat. Make that half water and half land. Get newts, salamanders, frogs , geckos, even blue crayfish if you like. I’ve wanted to do that for the longest time.

Hallelujah, he has returned! Take that, voodoo!

MacGruber actually made an appearance during the Super Bowl ads. I wish they used the third sketch from Saturday.

MACGRUBER! PEPSI, PEPSI, PEPSI, PEPSI, PEPSI, PEPSI, MACGRUBER! PEPSI!

I’m also taping the Puppy Bowl, since I managed to miss it due to work and Super Bowl.

I wonder if X-E is ready for football again…

My veternarian has an octopus in his tank.

Chestnuts roasted by Grego @ 02/02/2009 2:05 AM

Norbert: I actually thought about that title. How long did I leave that up? I swear it feels like X-E only stopped being ready for some football less than four months ago.

What to put in the big fishtank?

A submarine, of course.

In a town where I was born,
Lived a man, who sailed the seas….

Gotta go with piranha. Despite the ferocious stigma attached to them they are actually very interesting creatures. They can even be pretty.

Or how about a lionfish? Those things are always groovy.

we’re booking our next Disney trip tomorrow, Matt.. – for May.. – i’ll be revisiting your Disney guide several times before then to brush up on the best stuff to partake in..

I’m kind of curious about which call you considered bad, Matt. Lots of penalties in that game.

Also, Harrison’s 100 YARD interception return? That was absolutely ridiculous.

Chestnuts roasted by Dead Red. @ 02/02/2009 2:38 AM

Matt it has been far too long since i heard anyone use the word “chutzpah”… to celebrate your return i shall use it as often as possible for 1 month… it may cost me relationships with friends and loved ones… but this site has become THAT important to me… chutzpah…

Chestnuts roasted by TOmmy! @ 02/02/2009 2:43 AM

Matt- you should get a whole bunch of those tropical fish… i’ve always wanted some.. they’re purrrrty.

Chestnuts roasted by Andrew @ 02/02/2009 3:07 AM

I meant “buy” lizards. Not but lizards. That sounds weird

Yes!

MATTohhhh …. I was thinking about you this weekend…I have the perfect venue for you, and the whole of X-E….BLOG TV!!! not only can you show us interesting stuff you don’t feel like writing about…but we can all talk and chat at the same time…and you can co host those of us with webcams…

Think about it…I have been told that there are people actually getting television deals from scouts and agents and producers who go on there to troll for interesting talent. My one online friend Mike Mozart got to go on Bonnie hunt in December to show christmas toys, and then that sno balled into a possible tv show pilot to showcase new products and weird or interesting toys.

I guess I really don’t have anything to say.

Chestnuts roasted by Say Anything @ 02/02/2009 4:05 AM

Fun fact: Did you know turtles can live in glass tanks?

Does Bonnie Hunt have some kind of talk show now? I guess she’d pretty much have to, unless Mandy’s a liar. That statement wouldn’t make much sense otherwise.

Electric Eels or hermit crabs. The choice is yours!

Chestnuts roasted by Cleavy @ 02/02/2009 4:24 AM

I’ve always been partial to neon tetras myself.

I didn’t watch the Super Bowl. Instead, I kept the Ghost Hunters marathon on for background noise. And I still haven’t finished taking down my Christmas stuff. This may be a new record.

My daughter works at Six Flags, and she and some co-worker friends drove down to Magic Mountain since they could get in free (the park she works at is still closed for the season). She’s turning 19 Monday and the trip is her birthday present to herself. Sigh….my baby is all growed up.

FYI, I saw dark pink heart-shaped Peeps at the grocery store in the Valentine aisle last week.

Review The World= That’s great. I went before Christmas, and I loved it. I rode Space Mountain, I saw Billy Ray
Cyrus, had pictures taken of me with Stitch, Minnie and
Mickey, and Belle. I also got my face put on a Star
Wars character. I chose Annakin Skywalker. They didn’t
have an Imperial Officer body. Expedition Everest is
exciting. If you go on it, keep an eye out for Bob.

Matt= How dis Man Eating Chicken die? Did Legotron take
his head? Did Skeletor kill him? Did Waiterbot bore him
to death with diatribes?

I have a Lego chicken piece. It’s not for sale. Sorry.
Two Super Bowl commercials caught my attention. One
was for Monster.com, with a man sitting under an
animal. I think it was a moose. If that thing ate a
burrito, that guy would have an awful mess to deal
with. And another one where Jack from Jack In The Box
was lying on the street. It looks like he got hit by
a bus. Did anyone see a clown, or a king throw him
into the bus’s path.?

Matt, it’s good to hear from you. Even if you don’t update the AC anytime soon, pleases open a new
thread once a week for SNT. It got too crowded in
the last thread. If you’re not busy of vourse, and
if it’s okay with you.

Again, it’s good to have you back.

Chestnuts roasted by LoneStar76 @ 02/02/2009 4:45 AM

Sorry, course, not vourse. I’m sorry for posting twice.
