02/02/2009: Man Eating Chicken is dead.

Sorry I haven’t posted…I’ve been watching the Super Bowl for two weeks straight!!

Hmmm. Work: Riotously busy, so I won’t bother promising anything for this week. But maybe I’ll surprise you. Also, I don’t want to post once and then vanish for another month, so no worries there. The site’s like a junked car. It’s annoying to think about crawling under it to fix things, but once I do, it’ll run smoothly.

To clarify: If I don’t post for a while, it doesn’t mean I died. But then again, I suppose it could?

Speaking of death, our last fish finally kicked. Now we have a 55 gallon fish tank with nothing but water in it. Sad, but now the opportunities are endless. Any ideas? I’m thinking blue crayfish and blue crayfish exclusively.

Well mandy supposedly it can cause it, but usually only if you’re fasting or eating a super low-calorie diet. BUT I will say that one of the other girls in my WW session that lost like 11% of her body fat or so just had to get her gallbladder removed on Tuesday. Could be coincidence, or it could not. All I know is it’s the first time for gallstones in my family and that my cholesterol is top-notch, so that didn’t cause it. Personally, I blame it on the few months birth control, must like I blame it for giving me a giant water balloon for a left foot.

Just checked the site for the first time in a couple of weeks- I am a little late replying to this, but oh well. Matt if you have a long rectangular 15 gallon tank, and can clean it out really well, I highly suggest a hedgehog as a new pet.

Just got back from a midnight showing of the new F13. Overall, not terrible. There were definitely some un-Jasonlike characteristics going on. Seemed like they borrowed some stuff from Leatherface and Michael Myers.

Still wish Rob Zombie would have directed it. He has basically ruined other horror flicks for me.

Tanta07,I agree they’re too expensive,but those Joe figures are badass. I was never a big fan as a kid (I had like 3 or 4 figures) but even I broke down and got some. They look cool next to Transformers,if the TF’s are in robot mode. Otherwise the scale difference is too obvious.

So the other night on Countdown, I heard what I swore was a Christmas Story reference (something about a “major award”). I ended up tweeting one of the show producers to see whether I was imagining things but she confirmed it: “I think we’ve had everything from Flight of the Conchords to High Anxiety references this week.” Big ups for random Christmas Story jokes in major news broadcasts, in February, no less

Crazy_Mainer has a point Hedgehogs are cool, my Wife has a Hedgehog (she called it Nigel, very british upper class name, lol)it absolutely hates me of course, and loves to quill me, mind you saying that we also have Rats and Parrots and Dogs and Cats and a Turtle, now theres an Idea get yourself a Turtle, then you could have your own TMNT.
