X-Entertainment loves Christmas and will not stop talking about it, ever.

7777.

I was hoping my first post after a seventeen year drought of blog entries would be more substantial, but I had work today, so all you get is filler.

The Advent Calendar isn't finished. I feel okay with this, because we still haven't taken down our Christmas tree. I'm serious. And it's a real tree. And the decorations are still on it. And it's right in the middle of our living room window, so it's not like we can keep this dastardly secret to ourselves. Believe me, it has nothing to do with refusing to let go. When you get down to it, we're just kind of disgusting,

Or maybe the Advent Calendar is finished, but linked in mysterious ways. It's very doubtful and I'm probably lying.

I don't owe anyone anything. I was quoted on the Ghoulies IV DVD box, for Christ's sake. You're lucky I turned down Hollywood.

I hope everyone's well. I don't have work tomorrow, so unless I come up with some brillaint excuse to get out of writing, there will be new, actual content here. What will it be about? I'm not allowed to tell you.

Clearly, a survey is in order. In the comments, tell us your least favorite movie of all time. It doesn't need to be the worst movie you've ever seen, because bad movies can be great. Muster all of your personal bias, and present the reasons why "Movie X" makes you want to kill people with rocks.

Once I finish building my robot, I'll join in.

Join the sick club! Cough Medicine on the right, Tylenol Cold on the left. That is, unless your head is spinning, in which it’s reversed.

I too think this will be a weekend of video games. I think I’m well enough now that i’m past the “sleep all day” stage and am now in the “sick enough to feel lazy but not sleep” stage. Games of choice: Super Mario RPG and Chrono Trigger.

Hey guys, I just wanted to let everyone know that you should go and pick up a pack of Hawaiian Punch’s Berry Blue Typhoon. It comes in those ready made single packs. I’m telling you guy that it reminds me Kool-Aid’s Great Bluedini. Not exact, but a very similar taste. In fact, there’s a review for it on http://www.buzzillions.com/dz_1236096_hawaiian_punch_singles_go_low_calorie_reviews

The second reviewer said that Kool-Aid used to make a Berry Blue ready made single pack, and that it is similar to Hawaiian Punch’s flavor. There maybe a connection here. If Kool-Aid had a similar flavor, then could this mean that it was inspired by a previous blue Kool-Aid flavor (hint: Great Bluedini)?

Hawaiian Punch is owned by Dr.Pepper Snapple Groups, and Kool-Aid is owned by KraftFoods. Two very different companies. This could be a really long shot, but who knows.

Lucky bums.

This weekend will be spent still at college, studying for organic chemistry and cell and molecular biology.

Dayquil and Nyquil Gel Pills close at hand.

Being sick sucks. Having to pay for college text books sucks. Not having a job sucks. Being far from loved ones sucks.

No updates kind of stinks. You guys make it better ^_^

It’s sort of ironic, really.
This sight is so we can go back in time, and kind of pretend that we never grew up. However, the sight doesn’t get updated as much because the guy who runs it-well, he’s got too many grown up responsibilities to keep running a sight that is an homage to childhood. This isn’t criticism, mind you; it’s just fact. ‘Grown Up’ shit gets in the way, no matter how hard you try to not let it get in the way. I think we’ve all experienced it, and it sucks. For real.

Happy Friday! Drunk over here, am deciding between Tropic Thunder, Goldmember or The Tom Green Show.

True enough, Icarus, true enough. Reminds me of the end of SLC Punk.

“being grown up isn’t half as fun as growing up” <3

Halloween 3… Just plain awful… Horrible execution, and not sure how that got past the concept phase…

PlatinumStag, been there, done that, it sucks… Don’t worry though, you’ll get through ocehm. It’s not that bad.

Adult Nicky, hellz to the yeah! Cash Cab for the win. I have a theory that Ben Bailey is in actuality a clone of Mike Rowe. Close your eyes and listen to them…you can’t tell the difference.

And as long as we’re all reminiscing about X-E of past, why not share our favorite articles/moments in X-E history? Here’s mine:

The Jones Soda Holiday Pack reviews. I love the expressions on the faces of his victims. So real, so full of torture. Awesome.

All adventure articles. Maine first and foremost with the Carnival/Casino Arcade/Safari golf coming after. And of course, the entire Bulbasaur Saga.

I don’t know what my FAV article would be, but I can tell you one of my favs. The worst witch review. PURE comedy gold right there! XD

Sorry for the double post… but my favorite XE article is the first one that I read. Cartoon All-Stars To The Rescue!

When Matt said: “The show kicks off with a special message from then-president George Bush and some kind of albino circus bear they’ve managed to fit into a cobalt blue evening gown.” I was hooked.

Thanks for the support Drew Do.

Bulbasaur Saga? There were articles written about that? Let’s share the links ^_^

My favorite would be the recently mentioned summer trip to a friends house which seemed to be frozen in the 80′s. Also fond of the Turtle Pie Article.

Worst Witch! I forgot about that one!

Another good article was the one about classic discontinued soda. So many brands that just didn’t quite make it. May ye rest in peace!

Nigel, that’s 2 Ataris references in one blog entry. Hi5!

Chestnuts roasted by Neg @ 01/24/2009 12:29 AM

Nigel Chaos, Cartoon All-Stars was one of my first X-E articles as well. And yes, Matt gave what is perhaps the greatest description of Barbara Bush ever put into print.

Anyone remember the article about the anti-drug PSA featuring Snake Man? Creeeeeepy!

Chestnuts roasted by Stevezilla @ 01/24/2009 12:32 AM

My dad thought he was Mike Rowe, too.

Every year at Halloween,my girlfriend, her sister, and me watch The Worst Witch on DVD,thanks to Matt’s article. It’s my favorite movie! Or at least my favorite to bust on.

My wild weekend plans include packing up all the Christmas stuff and possibly cleaning carpets, or procrastinating until nothing gets done.

Rev: X-E Matt has a whole new website somewhere else, that he maintains diligently. Every day, another article. Every night, a celebration of bloggery.

But he won’t tell us where it is, because we’re the dorks from the old site. The has-beens. The know-nothings. He is slowly disassociating himself from the lowlifes of his past. You and me.

When Yuan Jing mentioned Atlantic City, I had a wild thought…maybe he had a secret meeting with Big Daddy!! Hmmmm…I wonder…could there be a connection? Do you suppose Matt’s been placed in the Blogger Protection Program?

Muppet Baby, you haven’t seen hockey until you’ve seen this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nah3nMStXV4. Have a great trip and be safe.

Also… I’M NOT A CHICKEN, YOU’RE A TURKEY!

http://www.x-entertainment.com/articles/0732/ <– Ninja Turtles

http://www.x-entertainment.com/articles/0712 <— Cartoon all-stars.

I’m suprised I’m as normal as I am considering how messed up my childhood is. I could never imagine a “very special episode” of Hannah Montana but it seemed like every other week someone on TV in the 80s had a drug problem.. or got drunk on 2 beers and wrecked a car.. or got all messed up on caffeine pills… ahhh.. those were the days!

Chestnuts roasted by Nigel Chaos @ 01/24/2009 12:39 AM

Steve – there’s a link to the Snake Man article in the TNMT article.

Also.. anyone else awake?

Chestnuts roasted by Nigel Chaos @ 01/24/2009 1:01 AM

Nigel Chaos: I know what you mean about “very special”
episodes. It seemed like every show that was on during that time, cartoon or live action , had one of those episodes. And although they were about very serious problems, they were presented in such a cheesy and exaggerated way that you couldn’t really take it seriously.

Chestnuts roasted by ULTRAMAN @ 01/24/2009 1:09 AM

Thanks, Nigel. I’m currently re-reading the Cartoon Allstars article and laughing my ass off. My word, I had forgotten how well Matt can weave a tale. His references and jokes are really lightening the mood here at chateau ‘Zilla. To everyone who feels like they are losing X-E…read this article. And remember. And laugh.
