I was hoping my first post after a seventeen year drought of blog entries would be more substantial, but I had work today, so all you get is filler.

The Advent Calendar isn’t finished. I feel okay with this, because we still haven’t taken down our Christmas tree. I’m serious. And it’s a real tree. And the decorations are still on it. And it’s right in the middle of our living room window, so it’s not like we can keep this dastardly secret to ourselves. Believe me, it has nothing to do with refusing to let go. When you get down to it, we’re just kind of disgusting,

Or maybe the Advent Calendar is finished, but linked in mysterious ways. It’s very doubtful and I’m probably lying.

I don’t owe anyone anything. I was quoted on the Ghoulies IV DVD box, for Christ’s sake. You’re lucky I turned down Hollywood.

I hope everyone’s well. I don’t have work tomorrow, so unless I come up with some brillaint excuse to get out of writing, there will be new, actual content here. What will it be about? I’m not allowed to tell you.

Clearly, a survey is in order. In the comments, tell us your least favorite movie of all time. It doesn’t need to be the worst movie you’ve ever seen, because bad movies can be great. Muster all of your personal bias, and present the reasons why “Movie X” makes you want to kill people with rocks.

Once I finish building my robot, I’ll join in.

Well, I am kinda a bit gunshy about imitations, reasons being stated above. Just that the general cranky feeling this thread developed over the weekend got to me when I poked my head in today. Not to mention I am still on an old browser until I can get the iMac set to right again. Takes a while for IE 5 for Mac to load all these comments. I’ll get it straigtended out this week. Then I’ll feel better.

Here’s my views on the AC: Matt was abducted by Arcano ala “Take on Me”, or various episodes of “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” in a master plot to destroy the advent calendar. There’s some secret thing we have to do to save him, like clapping to bring tinkerbell back to life.

Hmmm…Matt must be monitoring because a post has been deleted. (”Barry” had posted something about checking out his nifty theory on the AC and I clicked on his name. That’s when I realized it wasn’t the real Barry.) :O)

Just for the record, I wasn’t involved in yesterday’s The War of The Clone Posts. I’m no good at pretending to be anybody else. I have a hard enough time maintaining as a mature adult as it is. But I did enjoy it.

I am watching City Slickers II and fighting off a cold or the blahs or something.

I’m not sure why they call Ladybug “Ladybug Pacman”,it’s it’s own real game.

I am not an optimist. I am a realist. For that reason, I believe in turning mundane things into celebrations whenever possible. Therefore, if this 7777 post is still the most current blog by tomorrow evening, I will celebrate its two week birthday by having a gin-soaked party in my apartment. I will even bake a cake. It’s gonna rock.

OR, I will gather all my friends and go to the cheesiest local chinese fancy sit down restaurant with all the Chinese New Year decorations up, and drink mai tais and toast this blog and X-E Matt. None of these friends have even heard of this site or X-E Matt so they will not know to whom they are raising their glasses. I will be in control, having the knowledge which is power. We will also toast Yuan Jing by clinking together our crab rangoon.

Thus, X-E Matt should NOT update the blog under any circumstances! Or else my party will be RUINED!

What doomed the Psycho remake was the casting of Vince Vaughan as Norman Bates. I mean, who’s seriously going to be frightened of Vince Vaughan?

Tanta07, you are right about the sandwiches. But I don’t think they have any at my local Polynesian Paradise. However, they do have drinks which come in terrifying glasses shaped like tiki heads and witch doctors, with chunks of canned fruit floating in them, and the menu is full of misspellings and wonky english, which is a beautiful tribute to my Main Man, Yuan Jing.

Anyway dumplings are sort of like little sandwiches – usually some meat or vegetable wrapped in folded sheets of carbohydrates. Yum.
