Happy New Year all! Very much looking forward to the advent calendar conclusion!

Ghosted by Timbo @ 01/01/2009 12:42 AM EST

Hey, it’s been a long, strange year and you should be resting. Thanks for the entertainment and you’ll finish when you finish. Besides it kinda prolongs Christmas which is fine by me, it’s like putting a jawbreaker in the fridge half sucked for a few days…something to look forward to.

Happy New Year, Matt!

My first time commenting here, but i’ve been an X-E fan since it’s beginning! You inspired me to create my blog.

Just wanted to say that.

Cheers, lad!

Woo wooo woo!!! Happy New Year!! I’m having a hard time giving up xmas, though. Just watched Pee Wee Christmas and drank eggnog. It’s not over, it’s not over, it’s not over…

Ghosted by Eddie Lightning Frog @ 01/01/2009 1:26 AM EST

Hope everyone has a safe and fun time tonight. Happy New Year!

I didn’t even get to watch White Christmas this season….Oh well, the multiple viewings of Christmas Story and Christmas Vacation more than made up for it.

Must…get…end of Advent Calendar fix!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Ghosted by Eggnoggy @ 01/01/2009 1:35 AM EST

Yay, you’re alive! I was worried you’d been crushed under the weight of all your awesome giant books. Not that that would necessarily be a bad way to go, if you were old. I hope my eventual death is awesome-book-related.

Happy New Year everyone! Usually I don’t give a rat’s ass about New Year’s Eve, but something about 2008 was just so heavy and tense that it feels really good to cast it off and start fresh. It’s like busting out of an ugly, crusty coccoon to reveal shiny fluttery wings. I guess now I understand what New Years is all about, Charlie Brown.

I don’t have any champagne, although this post probably makes me sound like I’ve been drinking it all night. I’m just high on waffles and Little Hugs juices.

Happy New Year one and all :-)

Happy New Year X-E’ers! May your new year be relatively coconut crab free.

Ghosted by Ann @ 01/01/2009 1:44 AM EST

Still an hour and 15 minutes to midnight in Mountain time. I love the Advent calendar and I love you, Matt! Even without any champagne.

Ghosted by Bunny @ 01/01/2009 1:45 AM EST

Hooray! Happy 2009! I got off work a few minutes after the clock struck midnight.

I’m really looking forward to the conclusion of the advent calendar, Matt. I finally decided to give it a shot this year and started way back at the very first calendar. I’m finally up to date as of yesterday.

2009 marks the year I will get married!

Hi and stuff.

Bad webmaster? Far from it Matt. Just take New Year’s Day off. We’ll survive one more day. And Happy New
Year Matt :) ;) .

YAY! Happy New Year Central Time Zone!!!!

Ghosted by Cameron T. @ 01/01/2009 2:20 AM EST

I noticed a lot of people hating 2008 and looking forward to it being over, and I kind of feel the same way. Is there usually this much attitude of “good riddance” at New Year’s? I’ve never really noticed before.

I’m hoping 2009 will be better…I can’t complain too much, since no disasters happened to me and some good stuff happened, but the overall year was a disappointment in some ways. And that makes me sad because 8 is supposed to be my lucky number. It seems strange to me that I’m looking forward to an odd-numbered year; I’ve always preferred even numbers for some reason. I’m also a little afraid of 2009, since I’m graduating college and have no idea what the heck I’ll do next.

Well, Happy New Year to everyone, however you felt about the old one!

2009…Bring it, I have faith in you.

Hmm, peace offerings. I am molified :D

Happy New Year Matt!

Been New Year’s here in Philadelphia for over an hour and a half, and I got to celebrate it the way everyone should…with shopping and fireworks! I took my stepsister and her best friend into downtown Philly for a shopping spree and came back with a new pair of sneakers (badly needed – my old ones were literally falling apart), new jeans from the gigantic Macy’s on Market Street, a Tom and Jerry calender from Borders, an Indiana Jones paperback, three records and a Garfield comic book from a used record and book store on 10th Street, and “The Chronological Donald (Duck), Vol. 4″ Walt Disney Treasures DVD set. I think the girls were happier with the brief snowstorm we encountered in the city than with any material item they bought.

Though I just spent the night chatting with a girlfriend, I did get to see some really nice fireworks over the river I live by. It was a great way to end a frustrating but not-bad year…and begin a new one full of promise.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yay for the continued existence of Matt! I’ve still been refreshing the site embarrassingly often since the 22nd. I hope peace offerings come in the form of Waiterbot. :)

New Year is kind of a boring holiday (not that it’s easy to follow an act like Christmas), but I spent my New Year’s Eve with friends, Monopoly, and Mario Kart. Good stuff. Happy ‘09!

And it’s New Years in Oregon as of two minutes ago. YAAAY, that horrible year is dead!

Ding Dong, the Wicked Year is Deeead….

I agree Mars, I seen to have better years on odd numbered ones; like Star Trek movies…

Ghosted by Shuanfu @ 01/01/2009 4:08 AM EST

2009 already, wow. For some reason I still get stuck at 2004 … it wasn’t a particularly good year but it somehow always sounds new. ‘06 and ‘07 sound old though, so I don’t get it.

Bah, I hate New Year’s though … it’s always exactly the same as any other normal day, and I always end up ringing in 12:00AM by myself. Boo.

Personally, I’m looking forward to January 21st, since that’s when LOST comes back. YES!

Ghosted by Frakkyfire @ 01/01/2009 4:26 AM EST

Hip hip hurray for a MAtt update and happy new year to all. Had one of the better new year eve’s ever. First one as home owners and had a fun group over for lots of drinks and games.

Can’t wait for the AC to return.
must sleep now.

Ghosted by thejyav @ 01/01/2009 4:52 AM EST

I can’t wait for LOST to come back either :D Although, I seem to recall there’s something else going on January 20th that I’ve been rather looking forward to as well ;)

Happy new year everybody!

Ghosted by squee4242 @ 01/01/2009 4:53 AM EST

Those peace offerings had best include Old Fezziwig’s Ale!!

Ghosted by Cigar @ 01/01/2009 6:11 AM EST

Happy freaking New Year everybody! My party was a smashing success and I even had a few drinks myself, which I never do.

2008 was a mixed bag for me. I’m glad to see it go, but I’m kind of afraid of what 2009 might bring.

Ghosted by Annette @ 01/01/2009 6:18 AM EST

It feels like yesterday we were talking about how futuristic 2008 sounded…

Happy New Year, Matt and Sundries!

I guess nothing was ever going to top last year for me, ringing in the New Year with Amanda Palmer in the Grand Ballroom in New York. Playing Scrabble with the family and watching the countdown on TV this year was a tad quiet, after that.

Happy New Year!

Yaaaay!! Hap Hap Happy New Year! What I am excited :) Another year putting up with everybody’s (and my own) craziness. You know what I am talking about Rev.? I love that girl. I hope everyone has/had a safe yet fun New Year and I am looking forward to sharing and reading stories this year with you all.

Does anybody else get this – the older you get (I’m 30), New Years Eve just seems overpowering and not worth the fuss? Or maybe I’m just getting old and miserable! =)

Either way, I sat at home last night, watching old episodes of ‘Star Trek’. And I enjoyed it, so there!!

Happy New Year one and all.

Hahaha I’m 32 and at midnight I kissed my wife and told her and my boys happy new year……we were sitting on the sofa watching The Strangers (thumbs down) and then we went to bed like at 1:00 am

Are we old people? Are we the people we used to make fun of 12 years ago?

My first post of 2009, whoo! With the way my night went I should have stayed home, but oh well. At least I got to dance a bit and guzzle some Strongbow.
