Holiday SNT?

Just a random SNT. I'm working on a couple of things, but mainly I'm working on relaxing.

I just spent the last four hours watching my WWE 24/7. Greatest On-Demand channel ever. Going to watch SNL.

I spent the entire evening assembling our 7.5ft living room Christmas tree. Dunno when we’ll decorate it – probably before Thanksgiving; we usually do it that day but I plan to be glued to VH1 Classic’s Pink Floyd marathon all day. I might put up my own tree in my room that night, though. My tree is superior because our 47,000 cats aren’t in here trying to climb it, so I can put all kinds of breakable shit on it, including those ancient lights that heat up to the temperature of the sun :D

Also, [as] is showing the two Robot Chicken Star Wars Specials right now. The first one just finished, and the 2nd one is coming on at 11:30 EST.

The first one was f’ing genius, but the second one just blew it out of the water.

Leigha I would love to see a picture of the peacock garland when you finish them.

The greatest tackiest Christmas decoration I’ve ever seen was a wreath made out of Barbie’s!

A few years back the husband and I and our only kid at the time took a vacation to Atlanta around American Thanksgiving. On Thanksgiving night we went out to eat at this restaurant called Agnes and Meriel’s. It was decorated like a house set in the fifties with lots of campy goodness. Including a wreath that was make out of old Barbie dolls. I cannot remember if the Barbie’s were clothed or not, something tells me they were not. But as soon as we walked in and I saw it, I knew my dinner would be better somehow.

I will make oreo balls.

Is there a proportion of oreo to cream cheese that will make my balls feel right?

Chestnuts roasted by Rev. Back It On Up 13 @ 11/23/2008 12:38 AM

it is really easy, one package of cream cheese, one package of oreos. melt an entire 2 cup package of chocolate chips with one tablespoon of shortening and dip. you have to make sure you put the ball mix in the freezer for about 2 hours before you make them into balls because they will fall apart otherwise. i also suggest refrigerating the balls for another 30 minutes or so after you shape them so that they dont fall apart in the warm chocolate. aside from the freezing/refrigerating, it is really quick and easy to make, and there is no baking involved which means i am a huge fan. with regular cooking you can add seasonings as you go, with baking, once it is in the oven, you are stuck with what you put in there, whether it is good or not….i just dont like making that kind of commitment to my food…

HAPPY SNT! Been awhile for me posting, so whats up? First, the recent blog posts (my opinions). Box #23: Don’t know morce code, sorry!
Star Wars: Look awesome! I think I’ll pick them up!
Ads: Since birth I was reading those… good times. (Also, rock on with Christmas soda, Matt!)
Oballs: …wow. Yet I’ll end up buying one in the end anyway. Chewy: Looks good enough for me! I love Chewys!
Popcorn: Definate pick up (maybe both! Still got the Seahawk one from last year, though.
Hot Wheels: Must get. Look flashy. Me like.
Garfield: My first purchase of this holiday season was Garfield Holiday Celebrations! $6 at Target. Yes. I thought the special was great! I might watch the Christmas one later.
Holiday Treats DVD: Probably I’ll pass. Looks like a giant clusterfuck to me.

Chestnuts roasted by Aaron @ 11/23/2008 12:44 AM

oh, my husband just ate one of my balls for the first time, and he can’t resist going back for a second one. (sorry, i can’t resist a good double entendre/ball joke)

Chestnuts roasted by Leigha @ 11/23/2008 12:46 AM

Thanks Leigha I had plans on making an Oreo cheesecake this season, but I’m switching it to the balls now. A lot easier to make!

Chestnuts roasted by IHAQ @ 11/23/2008 12:46 AM

Leigha you are the big winner today. When my family is happily chomping my creamy, crumby balls, I will think of you and raise a glass.

Oh I know Leigha, Twilight reminds me so much of my teenage fangirl years because I’m cumming buckets over it. I just picked it up a few weeks ago myself, getting ready to start book 3. I love my sparkly vampires.

Chestnuts roasted by Mystie @ 11/23/2008 12:53 AM

I find it scary that there are people here that *love* Twilight. I think the series is hilarious for all the wrong reasons. I actually sit here and MST the stupid books as I’m reading them.

Chestnuts roasted by palmerholic @ 11/23/2008 12:56 AM

Yes well I’m sorry that my interests aren’t limited to JUST Ecto Cooler and Mr. T Cereal.

Chestnuts roasted by Mystie @ 11/23/2008 1:00 AM

I’ve been told I should read the Twilight books, even though I am not A) female and B) 16 years old.

Opinions?

I do have a BA in English if that helps the decision…

Does anyone have the new Animal Crossing? If so, is it good? I’ve heard good things. I had the original on GC and loved it, and asked for City Folk for Xmas.

Also, when you’re driving to/from the city on the bus, wait a few minutes after Capp’ns face is turned to hear him whistle “Totaka’s Song.”

Chestnuts roasted by Invader Norbert @ 11/23/2008 1:08 AM

Eh, I wouldn’t put it too high on my priority list, Cameron. It mean, essentially it’s an emo teen romance but with vampires. And not even classic vampires… like, instead of turning into dust in sunlight, they just get sparkly. No lies.

Chestnuts roasted by Mystie @ 11/23/2008 1:09 AM

Oh, and flu movies… anything ment for kids (or babies) does me good when I’m sick. ULTRAMAN, so will I! Mmm… Taco Bell 4 dinner. Awesome.

Chestnuts roasted by Aaron @ 11/23/2008 1:10 AM

What’s the BIG deal about Twilight anyway? The commercials I’ve seen for it make it look like one suck-anus movie about teen love. It reminds me very much of The Covenant, which sucked major Oreo balls.

Chestnuts roasted by Hazard @ 11/23/2008 1:13 AM

Oreo Balls is my new favorite phrase.

Chestnuts roasted by Cameron T. @ 11/23/2008 1:16 AM

oh God. Mine too.
