Hey, Matt! I’m just relaxing and chatting with a friend tonight myself. Nothing big. Next week will be crazy enough. I work at a grocery store, and I don’t even want to contemplate what the lines are going to be like by Wednesday.

The Santa Clause is on Disney. Barely tolerable because it’s the first one. ABC Family has some old Kathy Ireland movie on…I’ll pass on that.
Cameron T., I did about as much as you today. No complaints…it’s the best way to keep warm.
I LOVE the new background so much!

Anybody else feel like the networks have brought out the Christmas stuff too early? Not even December and we’ve already seen most of the good movies/shows. They’re going to repeating the same stuff even moreso than usual!

I am trying not to watch anything I really like until closer to the real deal. A lot of them are being played several times I hope.
I always try to save A Christmas Story for the 24 hr marathon even though I have the dvd.

That sounds nice.

YAY…I don’t know what for. I lost my keys today, somewhere within a block radius of my house. I think I got ripped off cause it cost 193 dollars to make a new one.
So, by costly force I too am relaxing at home this evening

The Christmas Story marathon is a bittersweet deal for me. Ever since my sister officially took control of our family’s Christmas Eve dinner several years ago, it’s been nigh impossible to catch a viewing. (The rooms with televisions in her house are strictly kid zones, and good luck trying to tell them to unplug the eighty video game systems so you can watch a movie from 1983.)
I was going to buy a small, flatscreen TV for our bedroom anyway — perhaps I’ll do that next month, but bring it over there to set up in their living room for the Eve. Might be a tad obsessive, but oh well.

i am lucky there. we go to my husband’s mom’s house and since we have no kids, WE are the kids. we get to do whatever we want and she babies us. it’s awesome.

Happy SNT everybody! On my way out for fixings because we’re having Turkey Day tomorrow. Thanks to my roommate going out of town I have liberated my Wii and I’m hoping to hit up some Smash later if I’m not stuck doing prep cleaning all night
I’ve always loved The Santa Clause. Finally saw the second one last year and thought it was passable since they got the original cast plus Juliet from LOST but then I just spent the whole movie making “Charlie” jokes. Don’t think I would brave the third one though.
I don’t think that’s too bad, Matt. That reminds me of something I’ve been meaning to tell you guys about, a few weeks back my mom called me over to see something in a catalog that she thought would be a good gift for my sister. Turned out to be one of those cool replicas of the leg lamp. I was like, hey, awesome, Christmas Story! And she had no idea what I meant. She just thought it was neat!

Around here TBS got changed to Peachtree TV, and it does not play A Christmas Story marathon, it sucks big time. I really really hope someone buys it for me this year. I don’t buy stuff for myself very often so I can’t justify buying it. I would totally bring my own TV to a family function to watch me some Christmas goodness, good call Matt!
The movie I decided on tonight is Uncle Buck, I donno, you just can’t resist a John Hughes movie. Or anything with John Candy!

Kapprika: Thanks! I really was in debate over whether to use it because it’s SO Christmassy and, well, you really can’t be in a hate-Christmas kind of mood and look at a background like this.
Mystie: If it’s an consolation on the vampire fiction front, True Blood has really blossomed into quite a show.

I dig the background, too–and speaking of Christmas lights, I’m all about the traditional multi-color strands. I’m not a huge fan of one-color variety. One year, my mom did our house all in just blue and green lights, and while it looked somewhat cool, it certainly wasn’t “Christmas” enough for me. Maybe it’s just nothing more than pure nostalgia, but give me generic, multi-colored lights any day of the week!
Time to watch ‘Ghostbusters’ for the 1,345,236 time.

i like the multi-color too, but i like the big lights not those little ones like on the back ground. I just like the matted finish on the old fashioned lights like my grandma had on her tree… makes me all warm and fuzzy

I am curious if anyone else here had the same tradition as me growing up- day after Thanksgiving, I helped my dad put up Christmas lights on the outside of our house and up in our apple trees and along our shrubs. I didnt do a lot with my dad, so it was like our special thing that we did do together every year. We had to stop putting lights in the shrubs though, one year, the shrub closest to the driveway had a bad accident involving my dad and the snow blower…lol. We heard cussing and then it seemed to be darker outside than it had been..lol.

Well the spiritual show only half came in and was stuff I’ve heard before, so I decided I really wanted to listen to a particular version of ‘Silver Bells’…unfortunately I only have it on tape and am too lazy to go find it and my tape player. So I’ve settled for a CD in the same series, the original Christmas in the Northwest.

I’m getting ready for the new SNL tonight. Tim McGraw is hosting.

Yeah, Day after Thanksgiving was almost always the “get the tree out of the attic” day for us. I, too, have fond memories of my Dad and I doing that. My mom rarely did anything except help put the cranberry strand on the tree.

Tonight was the first night I happen to notice the picture change. Silly me, I should expect nothing less from Matt.
Cheers.
Sure is a nice SNT tonight. Trying to think of ways to get back into SNT these days…
Going to try to work up some more blog posts, but lost all my ideas thus far.
i spent my day at work…waking up at the time that i had to be there, and rushing to get there as soon as i could. then i went to target and bought some groceries and my third christmas ornament of the year….the abominable snowman from rudolph, and then i came home and made oreo balls. ah yes, glorious glorious oreo balls. also, made a list of clues that i am trying to make sense of for the advent calendar.

I’m warm and toasty from some John Hughes.
For me the outside lights are best when just red and green or plain white. Lights on a tree can be all the colours of the rainbow. Tackier the better! I’m the biggest fan of my Christmas tree. It came with the lights already attached, no more struggling with stringing up lights for this household!
I know this has been talked about before, but if I could make my tree look like Pluto’s tree (maybe without Chip and Dale) I would happiest. I’m still about about tinsel to try to achieve this look!

I started putting up my lights today, even though it was the coldest day so far (northern CT) and I usually wait until after Thanksgiving, I started anyway. It’s probably a good thing too because the ground is beginning to freeze and to wait may only make it more difficult later.
I think the bitter cold and proximity to Thanksgiving is starting to make me feel more Christmassy, I’ve managed to ignore it pretty well so far this November but it’s wearing me down.

oreo balls are a dessert that consists of cream cheese and crushed oreos, mixed together and then formed into 1″ balls, and dipped on chocolate and put in the fridge. they are fabulous. plus it gave me the excuse to say balls ad nauseum today…..perhaps more than a pubescent boy…

oh and IHAQ, I am with you on the tacky christmas tree. i buy the most flamboyant ornaments and have so many lights its ridiculous. i always tell people i am trying to dress my christmas tree like the world’s tackiest drag queen. one of my managers used to raise peacocks(i know, its weird) and she had a bunch of feathers, so i am making a garland out of that this year….hopefully it works out….

I spent the entire evening assembling our 7.5ft living room Christmas tree. Dunno when we’ll decorate it - probably before Thanksgiving; we usually do it that day but I plan to be glued to VH1 Classic’s Pink Floyd marathon all day. I might put up my own tree in my room that night, though. My tree is superior because our 47,000 cats aren’t in here trying to climb it, so I can put all kinds of breakable shit on it, including those ancient lights that heat up to the temperature of the sun

Also, [as] is showing the two Robot Chicken Star Wars Specials right now. The first one just finished, and the 2nd one is coming on at 11:30 EST.
The first one was f’ing genius, but the second one just blew it out of the water.
Leigha I would love to see a picture of the peacock garland when you finish them.
The greatest tackiest Christmas decoration I’ve ever seen was a wreath made out of Barbie’s!
A few years back the husband and I and our only kid at the time took a vacation to Atlanta around American Thanksgiving. On Thanksgiving night we went out to eat at this restaurant called Agnes and Meriel’s. It was decorated like a house set in the fifties with lots of campy goodness. Including a wreath that was make out of old Barbie dolls. I cannot remember if the Barbie’s were clothed or not, something tells me they were not. But as soon as we walked in and I saw it, I knew my dinner would be better somehow.

I will make oreo balls.
Is there a proportion of oreo to cream cheese that will make my balls feel right?
it is really easy, one package of cream cheese, one package of oreos. melt an entire 2 cup package of chocolate chips with one tablespoon of shortening and dip. you have to make sure you put the ball mix in the freezer for about 2 hours before you make them into balls because they will fall apart otherwise. i also suggest refrigerating the balls for another 30 minutes or so after you shape them so that they dont fall apart in the warm chocolate. aside from the freezing/refrigerating, it is really quick and easy to make, and there is no baking involved which means i am a huge fan. with regular cooking you can add seasonings as you go, with baking, once it is in the oven, you are stuck with what you put in there, whether it is good or not….i just dont like making that kind of commitment to my food…

Popcorn: Definate pick up (maybe both! Still got the Seahawk one from last year, though.
Hot Wheels: Must get. Look flashy. Me like.
Garfield: My first purchase of this holiday season was Garfield Holiday Celebrations! $6 at Target. Yes. I thought the special was great! I might watch the Christmas one later.
Holiday Treats DVD: Probably I’ll pass. Looks like a giant clusterfuck to me.

Does anyone have the new Animal Crossing? If so, is it good? I’ve heard good things. I had the original on GC and loved it, and asked for City Folk for Xmas.
Also, when you’re driving to/from the city on the bus, wait a few minutes after Capp’ns face is turned to hear him whistle “Totaka’s Song.”
Eh, I wouldn’t put it too high on my priority list, Cameron. It mean, essentially it’s an emo teen romance but with vampires. And not even classic vampires… like, instead of turning into dust in sunlight, they just get sparkly. No lies.

I kept an open mind about Twilight going into them, and guess what, I ended up really enjoying the series! I do not consider myself a lover of anything emo, or teen centric. Hey all, finally updated my blog to reflect the greatest Christmas movie ever (from the 80s). Hit my name for the post.
In other news, I seem to be getting ill, which freaking sucks. Having a three day weekend from work, and sickness is not fun. Black Friday is next week but I work at a stately-old-department store which doesn’t believe in gimmicks, so it’ll probably just be slightly busier than normal and at normal hours.
I’m starting to feel the Christmas thing, and I have so little free time I’m gonna have to say screw it and go on a pre-emptive Christmas strike where I bypass Thanksgiving and ho-ho-ho my way right into December.
I feel better now that I read through all the posts and found a few other folks have enjoyed the Twilight books as well.
Matt I am so excited you watch True Blood! LOL! Maybe you can turn some other people onto this awesome series!

Eh, I just didn’t like Twilight because I’m really picky about writing mechanics. Couldn’t deal with the writing style. Anyway. Let’s all be nice and talk about Christmas and shit now.
I made a wreath. I went to Walmart the other night for the sole purpose of getting tweezers (I lost mine in the move). Ended up in the Christmas section. Damn you Walmart.
All of my Christmas decorations fit in one small box, so I decided to get a couple of things. I wanted a wreath but the pre-decorated ones were too tacky for my tastes, so I grabbed a blank one and wandered around looking at all the different ornaments for like an hour, trying to figure out what to decorate it with.
I found a feathery angel wings ornament, and a glittery white ornament that says “Peace” in a script-y typeface. Then I found this mini garland that kinda looks like blue starbursts. It looks much better than it sounds.
I don’t know why I just typed all that out.

Mystie, I clicked your name, and saw what you did to Skeletor. Wierd. Matt, I didn’t do much tonight
after my daily walk outside. I’ve just been looking
up old video games, especially for the Atari 2600.
I was especially looking for the worst video games
ever made. You should see how often the E.T. video
game for the old Atari 2600 pops up. I should mention
that 720 for the original NES should be on that list.
Partly for the crappy music. Gonna see if I can find
some old Christmas commercials.

If anyone here’s ever heard of the guy, I recommend viewing Jeff Dunham’s Very Special Christmas Special. Seriously, this guy cracks me up. I was laughing through an entire 4-minute commercial break.

So “Twilight” the movie has nothing on the book? I’ll probably end up seeing it anyway at some point. Like Annette, I had some trouble with the book at first because of…I can’t tell if it’s Meyer’s writing style, or the character Bella’s narrative voice, but all those machine-gun adverbial passages made me shut it a couple times. The English major in me, I guess… But the story itself is pretty engrossing, and I like her unique take on vampire mythology. But yeah, no need to bash people’s taste in books (that they even HAVE one these days!), movies, etc., on here. We’re an X-E family, adopted or otherwise!
And I notice people are getting into the Christmas spirit especially early this year. I noticed the abundance of Christmas shows on ABC Family all day, and the light-rock station in Baton Rouge switched to 24-hour Xmas music two weeks ago. Better now than never, although I’d hate to see people get burned out on an otherwise wonderful holiday.
On a more season-appropriate note, “Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” will be on ABC on Tuesday night!

to happen to Kuse, Knacks, Mare, and the residents of
Caracappa Land. Raiders of The Lost Ark for the Atari

I considered reading Twilight for the lulz but I already own too many unread books to justify such a thing. Y’all know there’s a “new” Harry Potter book coming out in a couple of weeks right? Tales of Beedle the Bard…it’s not a new novel, but a collection of wizard fairy tales (it played a big part in the plot of Deathly Hallows). Of course there’s a super fancy edition (only $100!) that I’d love to get.
I was going to check out Smash but Sandra Lee’s got a Thanksgiving episode on, can’t miss that. Ooh, she’s making some kind of abomination out of peas and green beans
I think Box 23 is a sign that screwy things will already be happening to our tiny Advent friends by the time 12/1 rolls around. We’ll be in medias res, as they say.
Freddy Rodriguez and John Leguizamo are in a Christmas movie coming out?!? I am so in for that. Why am I only just hearing about this??
Sewer Shark for Sega CD. Why did I ask for the Sega CD for Christmas? That movie with John Leguizamo looks
and sounds good. It looks like The Family Stone. I’ll
be heading for WDW soon. I wish I didn’t have to fly
to Florida. I don’t like flying much. When I get back,
I’m getting that Cobra Rattler plane if I see it. It
will be a Christmas present to myself. I’m gonna get
my nephews gifts from WDW. You guys got any
recommendations?

Oreo balls, but do I have some great news!
I’ve been lacking something huge in my holiday seasons for years past: a single movie that is the very first Christmas movie I can remember watching.
I’ve been searching for at least 5 years now, in Wal-Mart bargain bins, used DVD stores, overpriced snooty video stores. Failed every time.
Well tonight, my fellow X-Ers, I have triumphed. While getting milk at the grocery store, I just happened to look down and see a Christmas DVD display. And lo and behold, parked directly behind Mickey’s Christmas Carol, there it was, my favorite Christmas movie of all time, conveniently priced at just $7.99.
My quest is over, I finally own a copy of Ernest Saves Christmas, and I wanted to share because you are some of the few people I know that would appreciate it.
I have been blessed. Arr.
Ok, I can’t sleep now, I just witnessed Jackass 2.5 on Comedy Central. Steve-O had drank beer that had been poured down from the longest fingernails in the world. It’s unclear when the last time they were truly cleaned, but it resulted in some rather off-white liquid being trickled into Steve-O’s mouth.
It was pretty much the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen and now I fear that I can’t get to sleep. Someone amuse me.
Captain Will: I know what it’s like to search for what seems like forever for a kinda obscure movie that you just have to have. I’m happy for ya X-E buddy. =)
Invader Norbert: Want me to juggle some stuff?

Leigha Everybody loves my schweaty balls
Mystie I heard from another online friend to not walk but run AWAY from seeing the movie Twilight. I wasn’t planning on seeing it anyway. That indie film with the two kids that fall in love and the boy just happens to be a vampire has gotten great reviews though I should really see it. It’s called let the right one in.
I made dinner and my best friend’s lunch today like usual but then I excitedly plopped down with my dinner and a full glass of pom 7up in front of my laptop. I don’t usually like to eat in front of the computer because I don’t want my laptop to have an assload of crumbs in it. But yes I am one of the 70,000 geeks tonight that absorbed youtube live with their eyes and ears. It reminded me of an awards show but it was enjoyable.
I love that they had more then one camera because honestly a lot of the musicians and performers I either didn’t like or didn’t know. I loved being able to stalk Michael Buckley and hearing Fred’s real voice. Buck is my new thing I am VERY fascinated with. I know he has been popular forever but I just now have been paying attention to him. If something or someone is popular it makes them or it a huge turnoff to me.
It honestly got me pumped even though I think I am a bit older then the demographic they were shooting for. It makes me want to do housecleaning with this energy. I have about 3 hours of alone time left so why not?

Today you can get your free Dr. Pepper due to Chinese Democracy coming out. But I must warn you it’s a hassle because it’s so busy. It’s taken me over 30 minutes to go through their website. And I’m already pre-registered from a previous promotion.
I didn’t even know about Twilight until it was on the cover of Entertainment Weekly a few weeks back. I’m not planning on reading/seeing it, but I have no problems with it existing, or even chick flicks in general. Some of them can be quite good.

Sorry to double post, but can anyone tell me who that little blue-headed guy who looks like his body is a Rubiks cube is at the top of the advent calendar? Is he from a christmas special I am not aware of?
Free Dr. Pepper…I have nothing else to do today I guess. I was wondering how that was going to work. Does anyone have an opinion on the new song? I was (yeah I’m cringing a little) a huge GNR fan in eighth grade. To the point where I drew roses and pistols all over the inside of my trapper keeper.
So it’s kind of nostalgic to hear new stuff. Similar to hearing a new New Kids on the Block song. Balls, am I the oldest one here? Where’s Dan???

I love sundays. Animation Domination and football. I’m pumped about the Jets vs. Titans. But I’m a little miffed about King of the Hill being either canceled or moved to ABC in favor of ANOTHER Seth McFarlane show. Celeveland? Really? He’s probably the least interesting character on Family Guy and he’s getting a spin-off? And they’re only now rememebering he has a son.. and they make him fat? Bears for neighbors? … I still like Family Guy and American Dad! just fine.. but I don’t think I need ANOTHER show of his..

Also, reminder: The 24 movie is on tonight, so no new Simpsons, FG and such.
You guys (Amy, Guise) are just plain wrong… Oh so wonderfully wrong.
Enough of this ball talk. Let’s talk of something more serious:
I was just talking to my neighbor, Phil McCracken. He was craving bearded clam… Any good recipes?
Am I the only one who has driven their family insane by insisting that the “Christmas Story” marathon is a good thing and should be left on continously? Actually, I hink they’re vindicated. I cant, believe so many people are making the balls, and yes…GoobI did think of Schwetty balls the entire time. I kept saying “delicious dish” but the husband didn’t get it, he just didn’t watch SNL in the late 90’s I guess…. also, the husband just finished watching “Let the Right One In” and cannot stop going on and on about it, I may have to see it soon just so I know why he is gushing about it so much. I am going to try out the Brawl thing in a bit and hope that I don’t get my arse kicked because I am awful at the game. Captain Will I totally have Mickey’s Christmas Carol on VHS from when my grandma got it for me for Christmas about 18 years ago, and it still works. As for all of the non-Twilight fans, I can see where there can be some issues with not liking the book, it gravitates on the end of a love story more than an action packed vampire story, which can be off-putting for many male readers. For females though, who love sexual tension, I think this fits the bill quite nicely. I’m not going to say it is my favorite book, but it is a rather easy read, and I tend to be getting into it pretty easily. It ain’t no Chuck Palahniuk, but it will do.

I enjoyed King of the Hill for a few short seasons. Then it just got boring. The animation somehow bugs me, too. Just don’t like the style.
Of course, I also live in Texas, so many of the jokes just aren’t that funny to me. Why? Well because many of things that are on the show are just the way life is in Texas. Seriously.

I remember seeing something stating that King of The Hill
was considered a family show, it’s not. What’s family
about a woman cheating on her husband with a Native
American, and giving birth to a child out of wedlock. I
know the affair ended long ago, though Dale still doesn’t
know that Joseph’s not his biological son. Or does he?
And poor Bill. Let him find love at last Mike Judge. He’s
suffered enough. Even though Cotton was a jerk, he didn’t
deserve to die. The shark was jumped there. If ABC picks
it up, that’s great. Just stop beating the dead horse.

I keep seeing these posts about “Jingle All the Way.” That’s a Christmas movie so bad that it’s just as much a staple of holiday hilarity as “Christmas Vacation.”
C’mon, say Arnold’s classic line with me: “It’s TYURBO TIIIIIIIME!”
And what the hell happened to Sinbad after this? I think he did “Good Burger,” but THEN what?
MAN, THEY DID IT AGAIN.
Sorry to be the angry guy here but I just got back from TARGET and I saw the 25th Anniversary Edition of A CHRISTMAS STORY DVD.
Now, I never bought the original DVD because I knew a Special Edition DVD would be forthcoming. And I was right, the 20th Anniversary in 2003.
Okay, fair enough but now this??? I know it’s the same movie and all but c’mon! Stop punishing the consumer.
SEINFELD DVD’s all come out but then, when it’s all over, a giant special edition refridgerator thing.
STAR WARS: “No, we will NEVER release the theatrical version on DVD. You can believe us.” But low and behold…Not to mention 15 different versions of even the Special Editions now.
I guess I have been a bit naive when I take people at their word but I don’t think that is too much to ask for (even from Madison Ave).
“I went out to face the world again…wiser.”

Yeah, I had to look it up to see if Sinbad really did die. He didn’t but his career has.
Who else has “died” later to be found out a hoax? Seems to happen a lot. For some reason I thought Bob Barker died, I was wrong.

Fox also cancelled MadTV, so there’s a tradeoff. They actually cancelled KOTH a few times before, but then they realize that their other scripted shows outside of House & the other animated shows suck and kept bringing it back.
Holy crap, “A Colbert Christmas” is so. Freaking. Hilarious. A spoof of cheesy Christmas Specials with a dash of Colbert awesomeness. One minute into the special, I’m already sold for the DVD.
Invader Norbert, please don’t spoil it! It dosen’t come on here for another 2 hours and 30 mins.

I hope KOTH gets picked up by ABC. I think it still has AT LEAST a few more seasons of life left in it. On a more video gamey note, I can’t wait to get Animal Crossing:City Folk! I played the one for Gamecube when it first came out and, I became EXTREMELY addicted to it! This one is everything that one was, and so much more. I can’t wait to visit ya’ll in your towns. =)

IHAQ, the same thing has been happening to Miley Cyrus. I keep seeing videos on YouTube claiming she’s dead.
No matter how you feel about her, and any other person
in the world, you shouldn’t spread rumors like that.
I saw Larry The Cable Guy’s Christmas Special tonight.
Funny.

I saw the Jeff Dunham special tonight. Hilarious, even though I saw most of the routine when he was here in Waco and we saw him Live.
Watching the Colbert show. I don’t normally watch his show, but this is hilarious. When I saw Anduril (that’s Aragorn’s sword from Lord of the Rings) crossed with a lightsaber on the wall, I was sold…

I was, and still am, a KING OF THE HILL fan but I think it has run its course. The death of Cotton and the addition of Lucky have been too much for a show that has just run out of steam.

Move over Grinch and Charlie Brown, Stephen Colbert and Jeff Dunham have successfully claimed your Christmas special thrones. Those were AWESOME.
KOTH is a good show, but I don’t think it ever reached legendary status despite how long it’s been on. I’ve watched it from the beginning and I don’t think I could make a Top 5 list of favorite episodes from it.
Besides MadTV also being canceled, they have also canceled Eli Stone, Pushing Daisies, and Dirty Sexy Money. Those last two I’m gonna miss.
This is also ER’s last season, along with Monk and Shield.

Matt, I’ve been away far too long and have far too many entries to catch up on but I just wanted to say…nothing fills my heart with as much joy as coming here and seeing that fantastic tree-and-light background. Nothing.
This Christmas season is going to be especially rough for me for a number of reasons, and I won’t be here as often as I’d like to be, but I’m with you all in spirit. And, sometime after January 1st, I’ll have to come back and catch all the craziness I’ve missed. Much love to you all, especially our host with the most, because he always reminds me why I love Christmas.

I really think losing KOTH is a sad moment. I can’t see Fox replaxing Bill, Dale, and Boomhaur with anything better. We all know it will be yet another family guy clone that they are making room for (Cleveland show perhaps) and while that show can be great I think it is running its course much faster than KOTH ever did.
Of course, those are my opinions and since I don’t do the programming at fox…well…I’m probably stuck with something I don’t want to watch. Oh well.
Also just when I was getting in the Christmas spirit thanks to matt some asshole had to break into my car and steal my stereo and speakers. Fantastic.

I only heard about ABC not renewing those shows, are they REALLY going off the sched now? Pushing Daisies isn’t even done with the season yet! I will ruin ABC with my anger if PD is not on my screen on Wednesday!
And Colbert Christmas was miles away better than Jeff Dunham’s special. It was better than Spark of Insanity, but I still say that Arguing With Myself was the best. Then again, I own the “Arguing With Myself” DVD with all of the footage that was vut out. I’m well aware that the Christmas Special DVD has tons of deleted material, especially lots of Walter. When I see the full special for myself, I’ll pass judgment. I also think he loses a bit of his act when the audience knows what to expect. The reaction seemed much better when no one has any idea what’s going to happen. After seeing Achmed, Bubba J, even Walter & Peanut a few times, everyone just got so. damn. excited to see them and cheered whenever they spoke. It was a little off-putting if you ask me.
Wasn’t it Mike Judge’s plan to end the show a few years ago with LuAnn’s wedding? That had all the makings of a series finale, and the Fox backed up the money truck and brought it back.

One good thing about this season of King of The Hill is Principal Moss getting fired. He was absolutely
worthless as a principal. No wonder his wife left him.
It’s people like him that are ruining the school
system in America. In my opinion, he doesn’t deserve to
be called a Texan. Adios Moss. Don’t let the door hit
you in the butt on the way out. Now, Mister Strickland,
Hank should just tell him, “Promote me, or I quit” and
“Sober up, or I quit” too. Grow some balls Hank.
Let Dale find out Joseph’s not his son. He’s more of a
father to him than that miserable horse’s ass John
Redcorn will ever be. And let Bobby and Connie get
back together.

I saw Jeff live a few months ago and he was doing all the Christmas stuff. And there was a LOT cut out. And the material that was left out was indeed hilarious. Absolutely filthy, but hilarious. That’s one thing that doesn’t come across in the specials: Jeff’s puppets deserve a lifetime supply of Lifeboy soap.

I have an insane request. Insane for two reasons: 1)I’m almost positive veryone hates this movie but me and 2)I need it in less than three days.
I have been trying to track down a hard copy of “The Thanksgiving That Almost Wasn’t”.
Because this plan has failed miserable, I am forced to abandon it and settle for plan “FIND ANY WATCHABLE VERSION OF THIS NOW NOW NOW”.
I named the plan myself!
Does anyone have access to any watchable version of “The Thanksgiving That Almost Wasn’t” that I could attain in less than three days?
If you succeed, I will share with you my recipe for Oreo Balls shaped like Ostrich Anuses.
I’m a big King of the Hill fan and I hate to see it go, but I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s “too soon.” It HAS been on for 13 years…that’s a good run, even if ABC doesn’t pick it up.
I wtahce charlie brown alst night aya

Well Thanksgiving is gone, and I missed watching “The Thanksgiving That Almost Wasn’t” because my cable company is a retarded jerk and won’t give me Boomerang!
I so wanted to relive the Thanksgiving from a few years back where I had to work at a restaurant all day, got home around 6PM and all the guests had already left my house, so I had all this food and solitude. A beautiful combination that also happens to rhyme. I was dead tired, and my feet were killing me, but then TTTAW came on TV, and I was completely enthralled and relaxed. Best Thanksgiving ever.
I can’t fail Christmas though. I can’t! I’ve done too much planning! I got so many movies and foods and musics, I am god-damned ready!
