Looking forward to possibly midnight tonight, Fungus. Perhaps if there isn’t going to be much Box23 discussion, this might be a good place to just discuss the advent calendar? I hate to say this, but the main site is almost becoming a tad, “anti-advent.” Maybe it is because it wasn’t finished last year?

divechaz – That actually makes me feel a lot better for taking time away from papers and exams for the Advent Calendar.
Tresjolie9 – I really like the idea of the Box 23 thread being somewhere to discuss the calendar in general, as I don’t usually read the comments section of the main site (there are just too many!). Maybe we can entice some of the pro-AC people who don’t do the Box 23 stuff to come hang with the cool kids.
In other news: YES YES YES, Advent starts tomorrow! Whether there are Box 23 clues or not, I’m super stoked to see more of the adventures of Knacks, Kuse, and Mare! And Hssxxllo too, that cute little scamp! And Mista Snowman! And Waiterbot! And even Man Eating Chicken! There are too many exclamation points in this paragraph!

Lol, it is 12:00 EST, glad to see it up, can’t wait for tomorrow’s.
Interesting to see this one’s starting with HU, Waiterbot, and the new Roboclown. One cutback we get this year is no Playmobil advent calendar, just Lego.
We may finally get a glimpse of Tigerboy sans mask, I just hope he doesn’t kill off any fan favorites in an attempt to scale back.

Tresjolie, I second that motion for this thread becoming the normal advent calendar discussion. Great idea, and since there’s the link to it on the front blog page, it’s easily navigatable. (navigable? navigatingabilityable?..:P)
Maybe one of us could make a little comment on one of the recent threads directing anyone who’s interested over to here, (or if Matt is lurking behind his magic Xmas Curtain and is cool with it, he could let people know that there’s a place specifically dedicated to AC stuff, rather than continually having us interrupt the normal flow of current blog conversastion?)
Oh, and completely off topic, for any Queen/Freddie Mercury fans here, I saw this in today’s Metro paper on the tube. Super Mario sounds synced up to “Don’t stop me now”.

Aww, Divechaz, although I would like links to all the previous advent calendars, so far the one for 2008 has been wiped clean. I like being able to reread the old ones and have them handy.
You might be better off making the comment, divechaz, so that a few Advent fans end up here. I’m usually not good with those things.

Alright, the Christmas season has officially begun!!
LOL, I loved the little flashback to previous years with Waiterbot’s classic “I am Waiterbot.”
I’m kinda bummed about there not being a Playmobil calendar this year, but I’m unbelievably stoked to see the rest of the crew (hopefully soon)! And does anyone else think that Matt’s moon crab should make an appearance?

You never know, it’s early yet. Perhaps once we see more of the characters aside from the ones making an appearance in June, a Playmobile one will be in the cards.

YES! Mista Snowman is back! And singing! Ah, things are finally starting to return to their natural order. The Christmas Story reference was awesome too (I watch it every damn year).

Also I’m knee deep in creating an Advent Calendar handbook/wiki. I’m half-way through 2004′s plot summaries. Once I’m done, would anyone like to lend a hand fleshing out character bios and other misc stuff. I don’t mind doing the brunt of the work, but it may go a little faster and/or think of things I wouldn’t have.
Where are you setting yours up Dann? I’ll be very curious to read it once it is done, to keep things straight from year to year.
However I would need to set aside some time to reread all of the calendars, to get thing straight on things like character bios.

I’ll be hosting it on my own site. I like to tinker with ASP code, so I made my own wiki so I could customize things if I want to. Plus my domain has a very Christmassy name, so that’s a plus.
I’m into 2005 now, and it’s going a little faster than I thought. I think the character bios will take the most time, since plot summaries are fairly linear, but the characters weave in and out so much, it will be confusing fast.
Thanks so much Dann, finally time someone did something like this, really enjoying all of the summaries!

I saw someone post a link to another wiki, but it only had 14 articles. So I figure when you want something done, you do it yourself.
Now a question. Have any of the characters appears outside the Advent Calendar. There are mentions of some details being explained in the 2005 Halloween countdown, but I’m not sure if that’s just a joke or not.
