I believe that the middle picture is some kind of giant monster. My reasoning, the green things on either side look like the tops of palm trees, if you look closely you can make out the shapes of each (needle? prong?).
Hmmm… it seems that I’m a little too late to get in on today’s interestingness, but now that I have a reason to post here again, I’ll be back in full force tomorrow to help puzzle out the next… erm… puzzle.

You know it’s officially the holiday season when the disquieting, nightmare-inducing madness begins.

And unfortunately I’m not good at morse code, or decoding pictures.

Don’t forget these clues from the summer mega party :

Okay, so forgive me if I’m stating the obvious here, but from the clues I’ve seen it looks like the crew has had to evacuate the mansion, possibly due to some sort of infestation?

Guise-my photoshop verifies you are correct! you need to do a little flipping and stretching but yes, that is the source pic.
DJ_D-I assumed Matt does not have a stock photography subscription so I did a google search for “circus” and it’s the 7th image. Heh, remember, I get PAID to sit here and photoshop all day
The middle one has me wondering, I’ve image searched for some time trying all different ideas and scenarios – going from sea monsters and giant monsters to what I’m pretty sure now is three termites (one facing upwards, two away – we see their carapaces looking like eyes) on a grey nest with trees in background.
Wow This is a crazy blog… 3 scrunched photos and a morse code wav. file. hahahahaha
It would be funny to loop that shit and make a crazy beat with it. =)
X-Entertainment is the shit!!!

Although I tried to have the last farewell on the old Box 23 thread, our friend “meepy” takes the prize:

Cryptic as ever…

Ann–I should have figured it was something as simple. Until recently I had a similar type of job. I spent most of my free time using photoshop to work on personal projects…when I wasn’t here of course.
Guise–I thought about that. I agree that the two lumps on the sides are some kind of leaves or possibly the tops of grassy hills, if they’re not actually 2 other creatures. I did some searches myself but haven’t come up with anything yet.
Deej, how about…they’ve all been breathing in way too much fumigation smoke (fire pic) whilst termites (middle pic) are being taken care of in a tented house (circus pic). XD
I’ve been reading the comments and speculations on this years calendar and I think I know the solution. Here’s what I came up with:
Whatever happens this year, it’s going to be even more screwed up than previous years.

I don’t know if this has been discussed yet or not but, the name of the box 23 jpg is “arcano”.
seign–Yeah, we discussed that quite a bit on the old thread. Several people instantly started looking at a website called Arcano.com. We thought for a while that would be part of the conspiracy, after looking at the history of the site–when/where it was first put up (1997, I believe)–we concluded that the site itself is pretty much a dead end and most likely has nothing to do with anything. So far we don’t know the meaning behind “arcano” other than it signifies something hidden or mysterious. Time will tell.
