I noticed a lot of ‘a’ and ‘b’ versions of images as I dug around in Matt’s privates. None of them were really of any significance.
I don’t see anything special about those pics, and I’ve checked them for hidden goodies. El Zilcho. Unless I’m missing something important in these images you’ve linked, I think those are just revisions of images he was setting aside. One looks really blurry, you can understand why he wouldn’t have used it, but he may have wanted to make reference to it later.
Supporting this, Matt makes reference that his camera was screwing up at the end of the 2002 calendar and that it was unable to focus by posting a really blurry photo and saying something along the lines of: “Even my camera doesn’t know what to make of this!”
But then, I’m looking at things logically, that could be a dire mistake when dealing with the chaotic mind of Matt.

And just for clarification, I do realize that’s Mark Winningham in the photo, and that there is some significance to that. He’s also holding the magic wand with the Moon, thus making a deadly reference to space. It’s all very convincing, but I’m going to be an asshole here and say it’s probably nothing. I might regret this decision in the future, but what the hell, you only live (and therefore get to be an asshole) once.

You could be right Morfnblorsh, I think in the absence of a “clue of the day,” we may be grasping at a straw or two.

Actually, that is probably Mare IV, the fourth Mare from the first calendar and after whom there wasn’t any entries that year. Mare IV and Mark were exactly the same look, except for a difference underneath the Playmobil pants. So I’m working on the basis of stict to the character who would have existed at the time.
Okay, need to more thoroughly reread the early calendars. Should be interesting to see if he brings in some of the early characters from the 02 and 03 calendars.

It will be interesting if this years advent brings closure to the 2002 advent after all these years. I really hope that happens.

Ah, so we can all say “SEE! Matt wasn’t lazy, he just wanted to save the events of 2002′s calendar for 6 years later when he has a great story in mind for it!”
Not only will this cause everyone to respect Matt infinitely, it also gives irrefutable evidence that Matt owns or has access to a Time Machine powered by a giant vanilla-scented pillar candle.

I managed to read some words that were cut off in the latest clue. “Arcano is rumored demon god of parallel dimension”. Make of that what you will. I think Arcano could be a new ace in the hole, secret ally of Hare.

Has it been brought up that Christmas Island has the largest population of coconut crabs in the world? Seems to fit with the theme. I bet thats where everyone is now.
I also found th e picture in the nomoosecot.jpg from earlier this year. Doesn’t help much though.
