Cheetara I keep on trying to remember to watch the Poltergeist! Maybe I should watch it tonight now that I am thinking about it.
Phil G Awww yeah I have never had that but I could imagine it sucking the life out of you. I haven’t really spent much money this year so far. Just got some apple cider mix. And a few weeks ago I got a bag of caramel apple candy corn that was gone in like two days but it was so good. Just trying to watch as many scary movies as I can along with kids halloween specials and I watched the Nightmare before Christmas. Listening to the Halloween Jukebox daily or almost daily.
I want to make Caramel apples this year for the first time ever in my life. I am good at cooking so I don’t think it will be that much of a disaster. I have a tradition I started last year I watch a movie or two that people have said to me is a classic horror movie that I have never seen. That is a lot of them because there are a lot of adult oriented movies I haven’t seen yet that came out when I was a kid or before I was born. Like earlier this year I watched Clockwork Orange and Soylent Green.
Bill, the regular that posts here, is supposed to plan on coming to visit me at the end of this month. We will see!! I think the dude thinks I am narotic. Him and I are like Larry and Balki on Perfect Strangers. I am like Larry. But life my friends doesn’t have a laugh track.
Anyone seen Jack Brooks Monster Slayer? It just came out on DVD and is awesome. I felt like a kid watching it. One of the most fun movies I’ve seen in a while. The X-E crowd will love it.

I’ve just finished watching the “Halloween Candy” Tales From the Darkside episode, and while some may find it to be disturbing, it didn’t affect me at all. I thought it was better than of the other episodes I have seen, but I didn’t find myself hiding underneath the blankets when it was over. Actually, I had another Halloween episode recorded, “Trick or Treat” which I found out was the pilot episode for the series. I found this one better than “Halloween Candy” but still not convincing enough to scare me half to death. I always thought pilot episodes were to set the tone of the series. All I can say is they may have went all out on the first episode, but the series as a whole is a vast departure and falls far short of these standards. I think I may need to watch the movie next, after re-reading Matt’s review of it again to get me in that mood.

In recent months, I’ve found Dethklok to be good Halloween music.
I heard something about lemon creme hershey kisses today. Some chocolate lovers blog reviewed em. Supposed to be pretty good.
I usually do not like Subway subs. Spoiled by all the sub shops here in NJ.
BUT I had the new 5 dollar foot long, chicken pizziola sub. Its chicken and pepperoni with marinara and mozzarella then its toasted…and I added mayo red onion and black olives. sooooo awesome. You end up with enough for two meals

Trippy dude…
On youtube I just got done watching the Good Son with Macaulay Culkin and Elijah Wood that movie chills you to the bone. Any movie where a little kid is evil does it seems. Great movie for this time of year.
No Ben, we have a couple of newbies that haven’t experienced it before. We were trying to explain the goodness of what is the Advent Calendar. It’s hard to explain really. Unfortunately I think the more we talk about it the more pissed off they are because they can’t participate in the conversation.
JUST got back in from the Old 97s in Newport! A-maze-ing!
Am quite pissed off they’ve already removed the first “Nightmare” from my OnDemand tho. *pout* So I’m having my last mojitos of the year and looking to see what else they’re offering — I’m off work the next two days and will be left more or less on my own, so I’ll get to watch whatever I want!
Advent calendar talk is simply exciting for me, not a cause for irritation. If there’s anything I love more than Halloween, it’s Christmas!

Fox- I watched Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer yesterday as well. It made me giddy like a 14 year old. Totally cheesy fun litttle movie.

So, Goob, is that a “no” on Saw 2-4? Oh, and by the way, if you like The Good Son, you should totally check out The Bad Seed, from 1956. Brrr, creepy ass little girl… Fox, I added Jack Brooks to my Netflix the other day. Sounds like I made a good choice.

I ended up watching Roman Polanski’s “Repulsion” last night. Not really a horror movie, per se, but definitely creepy and chilling. It’s a bit slow-paced though, so make sure you’re really awake if you decide to take it on. It’s pretty “artsy,” I guess, with not much explained, so if that’s not your bag…
Dunno what I’ll watch tonight.

Teddy: I liked both “Saw 2″ and “Saw 3,” but they weren’t as good as the first one, IMO. Haven’t seen “4″ yet. I think if you go into them knowing they’re not gonna reinvent the wheel, (and that they’re quite a bit grosser) you’d still like them.
Chestnuts roasted by Reni @ 10/13/2008 2:54 PM
i loved all the saw movies except the most recent one. i know you can only stretch the premise so far, but that one was far less interesting. i ended up not even caring what happened, which bummed me out.
