It’s been confirmed that one of the Whatever-O’-Lantern contest entries — the one that featured a spider carved into a watermelon — was in fact a stolen photo swiped from elsewhere on the web. (As in World Wide, not spider.) I’ve sent releases to the many major papers who had already printed the Whatever-O’-Lantern contest results, and I’ve also burned the perpetuator’s house to the ground with his entire family and dog inside.
