We used to buy similar “growth” items when I was a kid. No, they never “grew” the way they were supposed to, either. A dog would end up looking like four sponges with a really fat tail.

And I’m glad the Countdown’s back, too. The closer we get to Matt’s countdowns, the closer we get to the big Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas holiday seasons. Let the fun begin!

I believe this is my fourth holiday season (possibly third, I have a bad memory when it comes to timelines) with X-E and honestly? I think my love for Halloween would have fizzled out long ago if not for this site. Thanks for all the joy, Matt.

I readily and proudly admit – X-E’s holiday countdowns *are* part of my holiday traditions and have been since I discovered them. Looking forward to some fun stuff this year, as always!

Also, thanks for tipping me off to the Halloween NERDS (Bat Bite Antidote, etc.). This is why I love X-E – no one else revels in everything, from the great spooky stuff to the fun and yummy novelty candies!

I had an equally spooky “grow your own Dracula” when I was wee. He was unpainted and broke after shrinking back down but, you know, you can’t really destroy Dracula. He’ll be back. Maybe in gummy form. Inside a plastic coffin.
I’m checking Target tomorrow.
