I was thinking of being either Joker or Two-Face, and then I started thinking why bother when all me and my friends will probably do is watch a horror movie and then vandalize various houses.

Halloween Season!??!?!?!
Next week!?!?!?!
Oh Matt! Ye’ve made me the happiest pirate in the world!
A friend of mine wants me to go as Spider-man, so that’s a possibility. Not sure yet, though.

All-purpose, eh? Hmmm…What twisted purpose can I use it for?
Happy SNT everybody. Pouring rain here right now, last vestiges of IKE. Had a great lazy relaxing day which I intend to cap off with a great lazy relaxing night…

Not sure yet. I actually have a pretty good costume party to go to this year, but I’m not sure what to be. I’m a better Joker than everyone I know, but my hair won’t grow by then, and EVERYONE will be Joker, so fuck that. I suck at being just like everyone else. I don’t know what is this year’s good “get laid” party costume. A couple years ago it was Jack Sparrow, but who knows now…
If anyone has good suggestions for either bad-ass, or leave-the-party-with-the-playboy-bunny costumes, I’m all ears.
Yeah, Halloween season! My girlfriend is sewing this together as my costume (the guy on the right): http://img.sewingtoday.com/cat/10000/itm_img/B3648.jpg
Then I’m gonna go with probably glow-in-the-dark or white dead makeup and black around the eyes. Kind of a grim grinning ghosts/spooky gentleman thing. Hers is going to be similar but for chicks. Has anyone tried any good new treats lately? I picked up the latest tiny Jones sodas at Target. “Buried Pomegranate” and “Spookiwi” are the new ones. The latter rocks, haven’t tried pom. But those and Peeps Cocoa Cats make for a great Halloween mini-pump.
I am always hoping for something ridiculous that takes a little bit of thought for people to understand but once they get it they shit themselves with delight. It’s a favorite pastime. It comes from years and years of my mother selecting and sewing together elaborate costumes she felt would be awesome for my brother and I to be together.
No wonder I used to dislike Halloween – I find now in my older years that I like it more.

Yeah… No Joker for me either. I’m sure there will be too damn many. We had July-o-ween and the end of July (duh), and there was a handful of Jokers there… so, that sealed my decision on that idea.

Been awhile since I made a comment here. I not sure what I will dress up yet. However, I noticed that King Island already had some of their Halloween Haunts decorations out during labor day weekend.

Happy SNT (which means Saturday Night Thread)! And hooray for X-E’s Halloween season!
I’m not sure if I’ll do a costume this year. Actually, seeing as Halloween is actually on a Friday this year and therefore likely to actually be a party night, maybe I should just go for it. I have had my eye out for something in gingham all year because I did think it would be cute to be Dorothy and make my dog be Toto. But I just got another new puppy so lately I’ve found myself at PetSmart more interested in the pet costumes There were SO many Jokers at Comic-Con it wasn’t even funny.
Got my new 2008 JONES HALLOWEEN SODAS right here next to me eagerly awaiting the Halloween kickoff.

Halloween, huh?
So I hear the 20th Anniversary DVD of Child’s Play just came out in the US, and it has some sort of commentary track by Chucky himself. Anyone here got it?
I hope it comes out down here in Brazil.

At long last I see a new thread before it gets a dizzying amount of comments
Sadly, it’s not looking like I’ll have a chance to dress up this year, since my group of friends is in flux lately and everyone is moving and stuff. Plus I’m broke. So, probably no party for me, and we don’t get trick-or-treaters. But if I *was* going to dress up, I’d totally go as Cyndi Lauper, at the height of her orange-hair-and-vintage-clothes glory days.
Hell, maybe I’ll just spray my hair orange for the hell of it.
walgreens have talking freddy krueger for 19 bucks!

Yay, my first SNT!
Monday I get to decorate at work for Halloween. I just asked my boss really quickly if the fifteenth seemed like a good day in order to make it sound rushed and like we were running out of time. It worked. I’m pretty excited. Anyone have any good ideas?

Good to hear about X-E’s halloween season starting soon. I’ve already started to decorate my room.

My wife and I will probably be dressed in Jedi robes for Halloween. We’re going to take out our son for his first Trick-or-Treating. He’ll be 11 months so we’ll dress him up like Yoda.
It is a killer time here as we are consdiered one of the most haunted cities in the world (seriously). My fiance and I are trying to find out what to be… not sure yet but we can’t wait.

I am spending this SNT with a headache from a stressful day. I need a hot slack injection right away. For Halloween, I will either be Doug Henning, or a naked pirate. It really depends on how cold it is.
My boyfriend and I are going to go as Billy Quiz Boy (him) and Mr. White from the Venture Brothers. Anyone who’s familiar would appreciate that we’ve nearly perfected our voices, and we’re going all out. Last year we were Marge & Homer Simpson, which looks pretty snazzy, and is on my myspace.
Halloween is Sam Hain, my anniversary, and some of the best X-E we get all year. Can’t wait.
just stopping in for a second to say that i can’t wait for halloween! been a while since i’ve stopped by…glad to see a lot of the old regulars still around. see everyone next week!

Hello my peeps~
Ghosted by Neg @ 09/13/2008 8:47 PM EDT
The Dollar Tree has some bag-o-skulls, 9 for $1. Not as gothic-y as the Michael’s ones, but better value quantity wise…
My wife and I are going to be R2D2 and C3PO. I’ve got roller blades I got at a yard sale, now all I need is a barrel and some lights, throw in some random beeps and weeeeeooooooo’s, and I’m R2. My wife found an awesome gold dress at a thrift store, so we’re well on our way to an interpretation of the duo that is going to be awesome.
On a trick or treating note, I just noticed that Target has bundled boxes of full sized candy bars in the candy section, some kids are going to score big. I think I’m going to stick with funsized Snickers and Halloween themed stuff. I’d love to give out the vials of Nerds if they made smaller sizes.
Ghosted by Fox @ 09/13/2008 9:02 PM EDT
Neg just curious….do you often talk to your candy?
Ghosted by Dan @ 09/13/2008 9:03 PM EDT
I’m thinkin of goin as Jason. I haven’t made a concrete decision yet though.

I haven’t the faintest idea of what I’m going as yet. Let me get home from vacation (I’ll be taking the Greyhound home tomorrow) before I figure that out.
Ghosted by starwenn @ 09/13/2008 9:17 PM EDT
Its fun to give other things to the kids. (The real problem is that I eat all the candy myself)They flip out, even if it is cheap stuff. Last year I gave away comics and books. This year will be toys I got for 6 cents: Bdaman “Target shooters” from toysrus clearance. Just remember to have extra because they will tell everyone.
Hulk Hogan, n.W.o years. Been growing out the ’stache since the beginning of the month, and the skullet since early this year so I can bleach them both. Hooray halloween.
Hey Everyone! I have been reading and following X-E for the past couple years, but realized I had never posted, so this is officially my first post! I am sooo excited for Halloween. Still trying to decide on my costume, I have a bad habit of waiting til the last minute…
Has anybody else tried those Apple Jacks/Froot Loops-brand cereal straws? I am seriously shocked at how tasty they are. I bought them for my son, and now I am addicted.
I am looking forward to Halloween. I think I am going to go as that fat boyscout from the beginning of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
@ Fox: because C3PO was clearly the ‘woman’ in that relationship.
@ Haley: That’s the greatest costume duo I could ever imagine. That has helped to expand my horizons on costume possibilities.. I’m thinking Maybe Birdman, or Dr. Roxo, since Brock Sampson would be too hard to define… thoughts thoughts
Not sure if I am dressing up or anything but I do know that E. Claire and me are busting out the Halloween stuff RIGHT NOW while the Great Pumpkin provides the background ambiance.
Ghosted by The Manimal @ 09/13/2008 9:49 PM EDT
Oh yeah, costume…?
Well, if I can find a baby blue sportcoat with anchors on it, I’ll be the mayor of Amity from Jaws.
I am trying to think of an idea for a Halloween prop to make this year for our yard. My wife and I usually come up with something, last year we made a 8 foot tall pumpkin-head scarecrow, any ideas?
