sorry to double post but I thought of a recent one. The joker is one of my favorite fictional characters, so kis death in Batman beyond reurn of the joker upset me. And then at the end when the device on tim drake is destroyed, and he is truley gone forever i moped for weeks.

When Phil Hartman left SNL, sitting on a darkend stage singing goodbye goodbye goodbye and cradlng Chris Farley. What really did it for me was that he was clearly crying.

The episode of Nip/Tuck where they go to the abortion clinic on Christmas Eve. Oh my fucking god, it makes me want to kill myself, i turn into a mess during that episode.

Man, I can’t believe only one person mentioned Old Yeller. I’m not a crier, but my mother allowed me to watch that like a week after we’d put our dog down when I was like 8 and I think I nearly drowned myself with the crying.

Also incredibly sad:
-Homicide: The Movie — The last act is incredibly well-written and sad. Between the Bayless-Pembleton scene on the roof, the bar scene it’s interspersed with, and the final squad room scene, I still get chills and a bit weepy.

-The Pedigree ad voiced-over by David Duchovny – Also known as “I don’t know how I got here, but I’m a good dog and I just want to go home.” I could give a damn about what people do to other people, but nothing depresses me more than when they turn in a dog to an SPCA for no real reason. Pedigree did a nice follow-up to this one though, with the dog getting adopted.

-When the Levees Broke, a documentary in four acts by Spike Lee – I think I cried through all four hours of this. I still live in disbelief that we, as a nation, allowed what went on New Orleans after Katrina to happen. I’m even more appalled that we’re almost three years after that, and parts of the city don’t have power.
