jjwspider, Right on. I might need a little, actually. I used to do it with Excel, but kind of got really annoyed with it (mostly cause my Excel skills aren’t that great and I couldn’t get it to do what I wanted to), and then I just started making my own “spreadsheets” with Microsoft Word. But, this time around I would like to put something a little more detailed together. Any suggestions?

jjwspider, I’m going to have to make a new spreadsheet for myself pretty soon too. I’ve got that big sale I was telling you about coming up in Feb. and I need a new inventory/needs list printed up. The only thing is, I’ve bought so much in the past year and haven’t really kept track of it, so I’m going to start from scratch. I’ll just have to sit down one Saturday and devote a whole day to it or something. Of course, after I go to the sale and end up buying like 200 books or something I’ll have to just do it all over again.

jjw, funny you should mention Access…I spent part of the day building one for it, but needed to include a ‘condition notes’ and ‘grade’. I love me the Access, if I can find an excuse to use it, I will.

Guise – If you need a database to use, I have a quick Access one that I’ve been using for years and I track the issue number, title, print edition, cover price, publisher and whether the issue is bagged and boarded or not. Sad, I know, but I have some valuable issues that I own plus it makes filling the gaps a lot easier. If you want a copy, just mention it.
