Advent-urers,

Yay, new thread, the last one was getting too ginormous, hated having to scroll all the way down.
Hopefully we can keep up the momentum until the big day, although I admit that I will miss this.

To business! I like the leviathan idea for Box 18, but I'm betting my Christmas cookies on a giant dragon. Poetic justice if roasty, toasty Santa-X gets to tool around on a fire-breathing dragon, don't you think?

New thread! New thread! La-la-la-la!
I think we're over due at least one more male in the Knights calendar, seeing as the Pretty Pink Princess one has had three ladies. Unless they cram them in to the last box.
And thanks for the linkage Nizz and Tres.

Guise @ 12/18/2007 11:59 AM EST
I tried looking on the Playmobil site but everything is small and blurry. Does anyone know who is who in the Knights and Fairy Tale calendars? I know the two new Mares are from the Fairy Tale calendar, and I know that Jacob came from the Knight's calendar.
However I don't know how many females and how many males are in both of them.
Here is the Unicorn Paradise one,
http://store.playmobilusa.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-US-S...
Here is Knights Duel, which we have seen some parts of in this year's advent calendar, but not all of. Will we be getting any horses?

Tres, there are two tall knights (a grey and a gold) and a squire in the Nits…sorry, Knights…calendar. In the Unicorn-but-wish-it-was-Unicron calendar there are two mammoth ladies and the GoGo Dancer.

Great job this year Matt keep up the hard work!

Great piece,Drew. I see you went and ordered your own Mare and Hssxxllo, cool!
Guise, I take it that the go go dancer from the Fairy Tale character is Mare 2007, and the two ladies are the "megamares," ho recently appeared. I also assume that the squire was Jacob, and that perhaps we are due for some knights.
Still wondering if we will get a unicorn.

Drew, well played, very well played!
Tres, yeah, Mare '07 (Cher) is GoGo. Squire is Jacob, as he's the short-arse of the group. If the image is anything to go by, we're due a unicorn and a likkle teeny-tiny pony from the Land o' Pink, and a horse.
Yeah, Knights duel. One horse.

Ya know, I really hate to say this but I kind of forgot what happened in the 17th.. Oh wait, no I didn't.
We have yet to see Trudy's potential. She hasn't done much except eat Ding Dongs and pretend to be a mute girl with mutant hands.
It was really hard to type that without laughing. Good job, Matt!

Posted by
Ben @ 12/18/2007 2:44 PM EST
Kitty, welcome back.
Ben, truly she is a master of infiltration and disguise!
Mare needs to smack Trudy up a bit though, show her who is Alpha Female in the house. Heck, show Trudy that she couldn't even fill Waiterbetty's PVC tentacle-shoes.

Posted by
Guise @ 12/18/2007 2:53 PM EST
is it bad of me to want sweet violence?
The house b rawl last year was top notch- and Waiterbot violence doesn't count- anyone can beat on Legos.

Posted by
kittymao @ 12/18/2007 3:13 PM EST
Kitty, who do you want fighting and in what kind of match-up?

Posted by
Guise @ 12/18/2007 3:38 PM EST
tresjolie, yeah I found a store by me that had a gigantic wall of Playmobil. They had about 20 Advent Calendar's between last year's with Box and the year before that with Mare and I was tempted to get both but I passed. I picked up the only "Bunny Music Lesson" they had though haha. 6.50 after tax. Cheaper than buying off playmobil.com!
Guise, thanks man! Your page with all the hints and notes is awesome!

I don't want the Advent calndar to end this year, this place has started to feel like my home away from home! It won't be the same to have just one discussion thread!

I dunno. I would LOVE to see Mare run Hare through with an Athame. Maybe some beheading. Playmobil Beheading- Lego beheading is too easy. And as much as I love that Matt destroyed a Santa by covering it in black, I'd love to see that in RED- nail polish blood massacre!

Drew, what store was this?
I just found out that there is a Playmobil USA store in NYC.
I will not take a trip into NYC and buy "Bunny Music Lesson, or any other Advent Calendar related set. If I do succumb, and purchase any of this, I will not stop by Forbidden Planet, and purchase figures of characters I feel it would be fun to see interacting with Hare and HW.

Posted by
Tresjolie9 @ 12/18/2007 5:55 PM EST
Kitty, maybe Matt'll put the 175-200 pictures per day and make a very clippy, blurry fight scene for dramatic emphasis?
I loved the fight in the house, "Good God…there's blood everywhere!" I'm guessing Waiterbot's jacket absorbed it all like a Bounty paper towel.

Posted by
Guise @ 12/18/2007 6:13 PM EST
I know! I totally wanted to SEE blood, and not have it assumed.

His figure loomed over their fallen bodies. His foes writhed and twitched, their beaten faces contorted in a mask of bloodied anguish. A snarl came from his curled lips and his tentacles rubbed gleefully against the velvet suit of his host body.
"The calendar will forev'r be stained in the blood of the non-believers," he roared, heaving the blood stained wrench in the air.
"For I," he boomed, and his red pupils seemed to glow in the turqoise pool of his eyes, "AM WAITERBOT!"

Well, one last one before I go to bed, and this one is partially Dio's fault for an inspiring picture…
As the rabbit read the words quietly to himself, Kuse fidgetted in his seat. He'd been quite proud of the collage he'd put together for the cover of his card, but was less confident on his message. He'd spent so long trying to get the right tone and find the right words, that now it felt like a heavy weight placed upon his chest.
Hssxxlllo looked down to his newfound friend, whose eyes and smile tried to display a confidence both knew wasn't there. As the rabbit sighed, Kuse's body sagged slightly.
"Kuse, what the hell?" Hssxxlllo asked, shaking his head softly, "Roses are red….violets are blue. If you forgive me…I'll stop being a Jew. Are you joking? Your wife doesn't want you to convert…she just wants to know that you care about her!"
"So you don't think that one works?" Kuse looked despondent, and he looked to the pile of other messages, "I wrote a few others…see if you like those any better?"
He handed the pile to the rabbit, who flicked through them, again shaking his smooth, furry head at everyone until he exasperratedly reached the final one.
"Roses are red…violets are blue. I'll switch to Catholicism…to prove I-love-you." Kuse, this is almost exactly the same as the last one!"
Kuse looked down at his hands and then back to Hssxxlllo's warm brown eyes, "I thought I showed a little more talent for turning a phrase in this version, though."
Hssxxlllo smiled slightly, he felt bad for the man before him and there was a tugging at his heart that made him bond to this young man.
"I just don't think this is the right kind of vibe you want." Hssxxlllo said, his voice calm and soft as he tried to explain to Kuse, "She's not looking for you to compensate by giving her things…just tell the woman you love her!"
Kuse looked at the discarded messages and to the picture of Mare in the frame he'd bought especially for her photograph, one of the few purchases he'd made with his earnings that was just for him. "I don't know how," Kuse said, his voice was sad and carried a tinge of hopeless desperation, "I can't seem to rhyme and be romantic at the same time."
Hssxxlllo looked at his friend. He knew that this was a risky bond given their seperate pasts and their likely shadowy future, but nevertheless a bond had been made. A small smile twitched on Hssxxlllo's face, his ears sagged slightly as if in mock defeat and he gave a sigh, "Ugh, get me a damn pen. I'll help you."

Guise @ 12/18/2007 7:46 PM EST
Now I would definitely buy the book. Heck, I'll edit the thing for you (I am a bit of a grammar Nazi
). Guise, go get the rights and let's get to work!

Posted by
Ben @ 12/18/2007 7:53 PM EST
Oh my god, Guiseare you trying to imply something about Hssxxllo and his feelings towards Kuse?
:-O
Tres, sure am, I think it's obvious that Hssxxlllo is a friendly and sympathetic/empathic person, who in a short space of time developed a rather good working relation with a colleague and, despite problems with their personal goals outside of work, do have more of a kinship.
And, to bed I go…

but this book totally needs to happen

Goodnight all, thanks for another entertaining evening! On a side note, I sold a $200 dollar Playmobil set at work today. She lugged it up to my cash and I just went "Playmobil? HA!" and she must have thought I was nuts.
I vote for a graphic novel myself.

Muppet Baby @ 12/19/2007 1:04 AM EST
Yes, and I think everyone should contribute! It doesn't matter if different chapters are in different styles right? You can just pick what aspect you're good at and hey-ho we're rollin'. Hmm…there seems to be some breakdown in my English skillz. Nyar, probably because I just spent 40 minutes in the freezing cold trying to walk home through the dark after a horrible, horrible exam. Did I mention I was dressed for fall? And I live in Canada? Stupid unreliable bus system.
So yeah, sorry for the rant. X-E'S ADVENT 2007: THE BOOK should really be produced! Ooh, and we could try and get Matt's approval to write in-between scenes. Or prequel-ish material, like Hare's stay on Amalthea, why Hssxxlllo decided to join her, etc.
And humourous asides!! Like the whole Waiterbetty debacle. *shudders*
Can I call dibs on any possibe 'Knight Mare' stories adapting Freddy Krueger into a rabbit and Nancy into a medieval Mare Winningham with hand magic?
One, two, Freddy's gotten real cute
Three, four, his ears are longer than yours
Five, six, better give him carrot sticks
Seven, eight, and don't you stay up late
Nine, ten, or he'll bite you again.
…with horrible, nasty, pointy teeth.
"Shut up, Tim!"
Sorry.

Evil alien rabbits with fanatic pagan tendencies FTW. This is why we must pool our talents, or "talents" as Ben might refer to some as, to pay proper tribute to beings made of such win. Although Hssxxlllo PWNS Hare - Hssxxlllo PWNS everyone.

Wow, lot going on in this installment…What's with the symbols at the top? And above the symbols is 7777 upside down and the word batrib and something else next to it, can't quite make it out…Guise nailed the "deeds showy trust" anagram (naturally, because he's freaky good at those damn things…some might say UNNATURALLY good at them…) but what about "havoc aunty eyes" The best I got is "you say eve chant", but I doubt that's right.
also, prolly not important, but the picture in which Leviathon almost comes through is called "rise"…notable only because every other picture in the advent has been numbered sequentially.

Did anybody notice that it said "theycannotwin" instead of "To Be Continued?" Also, the ca and "notwin" were different than "they" and "n." I'm thinking there might be something with canot or cawin. Anagrams, anyone? I might be blowing smoke.

Rob it's an animated gif…it starts normal, after 1500 frames it changes to the signs…make a frame cap after they change or get an animated gif app to tinker with themmm

melonian @ 12/19/2007 3:45 PM EST
Dan H, will be checking for it shortly.
Thanks, Vanilla, shouldn't be reading the calendar while at work.
Also did anyone notice "hellwelcome.gif" at the bottom of the calendar

When you go to the page for it, in Mozilla, you see the gif on the side of the link.

Anyone else not have the funky background and the weird symbols across the top when they re-opened the 18th? Crap, I clicked the other words that were in place of "To Be Continued" and the window closed and when I reopened it it just looked like a normal entry - phooey!

Posted by
Nizz @ 12/19/2007 3:56 PM EST
Rob, as near as I can tell, it says DECEMBER 12, 2007! in Wingdings 3.

Posted by
Rhino @ 12/19/2007 3:56 PM EST
Ok if we see the arrows again we can use this entry as a cypher, its just there way or writing december 18 2007, you can tell becuase thats whats there before, and now its 7symbols followed by two followed by 4 and the e's and 0's are the same

Posted by
Rob @ 12/19/2007 3:57 PM EST
Umm yeah you can go with my crazy ranting or Rhino's simple correct statement

Posted by
Rob @ 12/19/2007 3:59 PM EST
Now my question becomes is December 12 a mistake or an intentional direction?

Posted by

The background is called "Athinveal"… Leviathon

dood- comparing the screen capture of the changed page to the original- we have a KEY FOR UNLOCKING THE BUNNYCODE!

Posted by

Rob, in addition the file 7777.gif that was the code actually had two frames, the first being in Normal then second Cyphered.

tres, read a bit the previous posts…it's animated gifs…1500 frames and changes from normal, to leviathan style…spooky

Posted by
melonian @ 12/19/2007 4:25 PM EST
Melonian did that, however for me the December 18th Advent Calendar now opens in a much smaller window. I think I was wrong about the wishlists though. I had the main page open, scrolled by Matt's wishlist, and when I scrolled onto the smaller advent window, the wishlist was still there.

Posted by
Tresjolie9 @ 12/19/2007 4:29 PM EST
Tres, I just refreshed one seeing as I had them open in two windows, it's still the same, only refreshing puts it back to the first frames of each gif. Even redownloaded to check.

Posted by
Guise @ 12/19/2007 4:32 PM EST
Has the reason the 23rd was specifically selected been discussed? Here's my theory:
I just got done reading an article on another site about the Mayan calendar. Although most researchers believe it will happen on the 21st, there are a few who believe it will happen on the 23rd. So what's supposed to happen on either on those days? Supposedly in 2012, the world is gonna end.
Is Matt telling us that the Advent Calendar will cease to exist on the 23rd. Is Matt destroying the world five years early? What terrible things are planned for are beloved Lego/Playmobile cast? I'm scared.

Posted by
Andre @ 12/19/2007 5:53 PM EST
yeah- but all i see is yellow blobs and some skritches that MAY be 7's.
However, when I was reading through it- it changed JUST AS I READ HARE'S FAILED CONJURE.
As if maybe she HAD conjured the Leviathan, but wasn't able to manifest cause it isn't the right time.
And considering the bodily outline- I still believ the "Leviathan" is the King, and not a sea snake.

also-ALSO… when I went to save the bg of the calendar- it is titled A THIN VEAL.
Ponder that- if you haven't- and I'll be back with my PS analysis.

Posted by
kittymao @ 12/19/2007 6:04 PM EST
Ok, as I'm heading off for sleep, I thought I'd give another shot at the digitally (as in, my fingers) re-worked AC'07 novelisation…and go back to Day 1!
Prologue
Knacks laid his laptop on the table and took a swig of his steaming cocoa, as the warmth spread through him he felt the usual wave of contentment and foreboding that always grew at this time of year.
His job as an official Christmasser may have had a long vacation time, but every year seemed to be packed full of drama and tragedy. This year, there was also a familiar sense of longing deep inside him.
He pulled a chair closer to the table and sat down, placing his cup on the table before him. With a practiced movement he flipped up the lid of his laptop and watched as the bright glow of it's LCD display spread across his face. In moments the system was online and he was away to his MySpace account.
All morning he'd been going over in his head all the news he had to share, but he'd not practice what to say and just let the words flow as best as they could. Knacks adjusted his shades and took a deep breath. "Jeez…here we go," He said as he exhaled, "My first MySpace blog entry of the 2007 holiday season!"
His fingers danced over the keyboard as he typed, not the sensual, graceful beauty of a svelt ballet dancer, but the determined actions of a 25st stripper at a off-highway country dive bar. Every word came from the heart though, and he let himself open to all his online friends and admirers.
It took him several attempts to get things just right, and as he began to approach the finishing point he glanced to the balcony where Mare stood. He made a few more stabbing motions at the keys, before giving a satisfied nod and posting the entry to his blog.
"Hello, friends! I know I haven't been too prolific on this blog, but you know how it goes. I'll try to be around more often, though it could be tough considering that today is December 1st! In just a short while, Santa is going to 'present' (get it?) us with this year's brand new Advent Calendars, and I don't need to tell you…they can eat up a lot of my time.
Everyone's been doing pretty okay lately, for the most part. No major incidents. Well, there is one thing — we moved into a new house! Totally true. Kuse took on some big city corporate job so he could afford it, and it's kept him pretty fucking busy lately. To be honest, I barely ever even see him anymore. Neither does Mare, apparently, because she's always pacing around the house with a phone in one hand and scotch in the other. I'm not talking about Scotch tape, folks. She's been hammered for like a week straight.
I should probably go check on her. I'll write more later, guys. Kuse couldn't get off from work today, and I know Mare's upset that he's not gonna be here for the big Adventy debut. Later!"
He rose from his chair, closing the lid of the laptop as he did, and turned to the door leading out to the balcony. The morning sun caressed his face as he slowly lowered the handle and walked out in to a brand new day.

Guise @ 12/19/2007 6:07 PM EST
AH… a thin veal is leviathan. Like stated, I imagine. A PS observation could be intertpreted as a pixellated bunny silhouette, or when turned upside-down… four figures in a row.

Posted by
kittymao @ 12/19/2007 6:08 PM EST
a thin veal- leviathan.
A PS analysis shows nothing but my overactive imagination- either a bunny silhouette, or an upside down image of four people standing in a line.

I don't have much (fine. anything.) to add, but: 1.) I think that funky writing is an alternate dimension's Konomi Code and 2.) I found it funny that the bottom gif was "luckyfooter.gif.

Posted by

FM…but Waiterbetty is getting plenty of body from the house, ifyouknowwhatImean.
Could be those guys from the office, Joe and Vinny, I never trusted them. Shifty eyes, mark my words. Either they plan to betray Kuse and sacrifice him to the photocopier gods of the fifth floor in an orgy of blood, food and drunk interns or else they are stealing office supplies.
Joe…like Job, where Leviathan was mentioned.
Vinny…The Vinny on the telephone…La Vinny onna Fone…Leviathan.
See, it all fits together like a rich tapestry of interwoven spaghetti and paste shapes in a tomato sauce, served on a bed of buttered toast.

Posted by
Guise @ 12/20/2007 12:13 PM EST
I wonder if one of the two is Box, he did disappear for a while at the same calander where the bunnies were lurking and took Santa-X. Plus that whole odd zapping thing he did last year didn't make sense. Also I think Matt mentioned somewhere that he shot eye beams, but we saw him take out the zombie (but not really take it out) with hand magic.

Posted by
Rob @ 12/20/2007 12:13 PM EST
I hate to say it (cuz I love the bastard) but I'm thinking one of the two is probably James Lipton. Think about it, Hare has a camera on everyone at all times and WHO has been running around all over with a camera? That skeleton is certainly not in the room with them, they would notice.

Hey guys, it's Waiterbot. I am at Santa's house surrounded by a bunch of cross-eyed bunnies.
SAVE US!!!
I'm gonna say Cher and Waiterbetty. Waiterbetty is a jilted bride, and we all know what they say about a woman(?) scorned. And Cher is simply too much nicer than a Mare locked in a cage should be. I'm going to make a bold prediction. Cher has the body of Mare II. Perhaps she was the skeleton thing and they switched. I haven't worked that part out yet. But, yeah. Basically I think Cher will breach the heroes' defenses for Team Hare and zombie Mare II will save the day. Dec. 23. Mark it down.

Rhino, I think I agree with you. I am pretty certain the person posing as Hssxxlllo is probably a troll. While Hssxxlllo has some issues with spelling and grammar, I think he would know how to spell his name correctly. In addition if he had just given Kuse a pile of clues, I doubt he would go on to help Hare in her evil plan.

Matt said today isn't the day to get reliable, but it is reliable that the day's AC entry will be a day late.
(I'm just joking around, Matt!

Just further proof that Guise is a double agent! He didn't post relevant new information! :p

Holy shit! I don’t know why I didn’t see this before…
At the top of the BITCHREFFEDME.gif frame with the page describing the symbology of the Cup, the frame has been cropped to show the words "to spark our… moon rituals." Sunday, December 23, 2007 is a FULL MOON.
More than that, a very remarkable, VERY rare planetary/galactic configuration will occur on December 23-24, 2007. On the 23rd, Mars, Earth, the Sun, Mercury, Jupiter (the planet around which Amalthea orbits), and the galactic center will be aligned (astronomers and astrologists call this "in conjunction"). Even more rare is that the conjunction will be accompanied by the full moon at around 2 a.m. on December 24. It is even more remarkable still in that the Pluto/Sun conjunction appears exactly on the Winter Solstice (solstices are very important in pagan/druidic ceremonies like the ones we've seen the rabbits take part in). Check out NASA.gov for more info on this conjunction; most likely none of us will live long enough to see another quite like it.
This is fucking incredible! That's what the rabbits are waiting for! If I'm right, Hare Winningham's ritual failed because the planets are not aligned properly… yet. On the 23rd, when the planets, Sun and galactic core are in conjunction, Hare will be able to summon Leviathan, or Satan, or Gozer, or whatever the fuck it is that she's bringing to, I assume, destroy our heroes.
Sweet Christ, Matt has planned this out very, very well. He's using this amazing planetary alignment in his Advent story, and it took me this long to see it. Hat's off, Matt. You are the man.

Yeah, um, abducted and double agent-y…yeah, um, we'll use that instead of that I forgot that as well as typing it out I had to FTP it for people to see it.

good idea, guise- otherwise a few rabid and neurotic advent-urers may murderlize you in a fit of boredom.
or, uh… hunger, in my case. I forgot my lunch.
cyber-sammiches, plz?

Kitty, I'm glad I wont get murderlized befor I find out if Santa meets my deman…uh, gives me the presents on my wishlist.
I don't have sammiches to give, but I've got a huge batch of proper hot chocolate. Yummy Green&Blacks 80% cocoa chocolate, melted in milk on a stove with a little bit of mint, poured into a mug and topped with squirty can low fat cream.
I love Christmas indulgences.

chris, yea, hare tried and failed, she talked about patience, so im assuming that she knew it would work on the 23rd
and guise being a double agent…that would…explain…everything!

Mm. cookies.
Fuck. Now I'm stupid hungry.

I think I'm onto something here…
Kuse, as we all know is Jewish. So is the story of the Leviathan. Jewish texts say the Leviathan was created on the fifth day. According to the scriptures, God created a male and a female Leviathan, but lest by multiplying the species should destroy the world, he slew the female, reserving her flesh for the banquet that will be given to the righteous on the advent of the Messiah.
Taking the "fifth day" concept in terms of the 2007 Advent Calendar, I checked out the Dec 5th entry again. Again, the BITCHREFFEDME.gif (which is an anagram for 'December Fifth') was the key here. In the legend of the Leviathan, God slew the female Leviathan and reserved her flesh. Both in the Dec 5th Advent entry and BITCHREFFEDME.gif it looks to me like Mare is using the fire to melt the flesh of Mrs. Snowman and reserve it in that barrel.
In the BITCHREFFEDME.gif frame with the page describing the symbology of the Cup, it says that the cup used in ritual can be earthenware, much like the (presumably) ceramic coffee cup that Hssxxlllo gives to Kuse. The cup is used to drink "the ritual beverage imbibed during the rite." From the other text on the page, it can be inferred that this rite is a fertility rite of some kind and that the cup would hold water. The melted flesh of Mrs. Snowman, would, of course, be water.
Is it possible that Kuse unwittingly imbibed the flesh of Mrs. Snowman as part of bunny ritual he was not even aware of? If Hssxxlllo gave Kuse coffee brewed from the watery flesh of Mrs. Snowman, he may be the traitor without even realizing it. When all the shit I described earlier goes down on the 23rd, I think Kuse is in for some huge touble. I think the bunnies have used him in a rite or incantation that he is unaware of, and he will somehow be used agianst his own family. Of course, the flesh of the Leviathan was supposed ot be eaten by the righteous, so it may be possible that Kuse is pure of heart and that Hssxxlllo fed Kuse that coffee to work against whatever it is that Hare has planned. Only time will tell…

Well, I do have some All Butter Scottish Shortbread. The ones shaped like fan-tails, with the sprinkled sugar, that come in a tartan tin with the picture of a castle on the lid.
But, I made white chocolate and raspberry muffins today, so I'm skipping the shortbread.

wo Chris.
That's crazy deep.
Do you think- cause Kuse is Jewish, he's null and void from any neo-pagan hex?
And is Kuse a PRACTICING jew?
I've never seen any jewish paraphenelia.
Oo. Muffins.

We all need to bow down to the glory that is Chris. He did something else earlier (I'm ashamed that I can't remember exactly what) that had everybody's jaws on the floor, and he's done it again! Good show, old bean! [/monocle]

Chris totally called "Hare Winningham" (HW) like the day before it showed up on the calendar. Guise may be the puzzle piece compiler and anagram champ, but Chris is putting the big picture together for us. They both deserve our praise.

my only wish for the advent calendar is to be reading the 25 day on the advent calendar sometime on christmas day
the reason is, is that reading the 25 day after christmas would be depressing, because christmas would be over and done, then theirs a reminder of how its suppose to be (i usually spend christmas morning opening presents, then the rest of the day doing nothing, no xmas joy except for that like 1 hour)
but at this rate it doesnt seem likely

Posted by
Graham @ 12/20/2007 10:09 PM EST
Nah, you don't have to worry about that. It's very unlikely that any entries will be late after I catch up on these last two.

Posted by
Matt @ 12/20/2007 10:14 PM EST
I have to say, I am completely and totally sucked into this story. The puzzles make the whole experience even more addictive. If you charged money to see the end of this I would gladly pay (please don't though, I need the money to buy useless stuff on Ebay).

Oh god - Loki and Mortalwind's comments together gave me one of the more disturbing pictures I've ever had in my mind - two words: WAITERBOT and HEAD. I'm not talking about the kind above your shoulders….*reaches for the brain bleach*
Awww, seeing Hssxxlllo with that shield is adorable, and how unenthusiastic he is. Oh, and Chris - if you're right about Mrs. Snowman, does that make Mista Snowman the Leviathan???? LOL, that would be a new level of awesome.
As for the two people that 'aren't urs', I'm going to go with Cher and Guise. Cher is way too nice, and there's no way that anyone can be as awesomely Advent-ury and hilarious as Guise is without being evil. It's like a law of the universe or something.
And Matt - don't worry too much about getting these things done in a certain time frame. I think all of us are just glad that you're doing it at all, and we much prefer a really well done late entry (with a less harried Matt) than a rushed on-time one. And THANK YOU SO MUCH for this incredible Advent-ure! If I had the money and wasn't convinced it would break, I'd totally ship you that bottle of champagne from Paris that I haven't been able to drink yet. Alas, I have about $10 in the bank and don't get paid until December 28th. It's the thought that counts though, right? (yeah, I don't think anyone buys that one)

Posted by
Frakkyfire @ 12/21/2007 3:08 AM EST
I hear ya, Frakky. I need to get my mom a Christmas present when I have $6 in the bank and $30 on hand… And my paycheck doesn't come in until next week. O_o
Oh sniz-ap! Hare broke the rules and opened all the remaining boxes! Stuff is going to go down like Chinatown!
Finally, Matt, no need to feel rushed. Two phrases come to mind: better late than never, and better later than pure suck. I think you said something like that yourself… Seeing Mista Snowman in drag was a bit bizarre, but wholly entertaining!

Posted by
Ben @ 12/21/2007 3:49 AM EST
See, Vinny is in to the occult. See…
Of course, gold knight throws out one of my theories that that is who Matt would use as Leviathan.
Ben, seeing Mista Snowman in drag, my first thought was "somehow…that isn't a surprise".
Frakky, it's because I'm english, right? Typecast as always!
(Oh, and Squirpions rule)
Chris, good calls, man!

I don't know if anybody's interested in this, but it is tangentially related to the whole box 23 mythos - when looking at Hssxxllo's YouTube page, I found a link to some high school kid's video report on Amalthea.

Hssxxllo commented on this one too.
http://www.youtube.com/comment_servlet?all_comments&v=mJ...
Youtube marked poor Hssxxllo as a spammer though and hid his comments (although you can still read it if you click "show comments marked as spam"). Odd considering the other comment on that page is still there. Apparently it is spam to compliment somebody's video on Youtube, but perfectly acceptable to promote a website to help people "get some action".

I didn't watch 90210.
I think I was too busy drawing, or playing ball or something. Never been a big TV fan, I guess.
On a mild tangent- the idea that my Waiterbetty SSF image is now seen by ALL of X-E instead of just the advent-urers… muwahahaha. imagine how many skeeved nightmares I have created with just one image…
