Ok, first comment I've put on here. One of my Christmas memories is the year when i got a giant bucket with all the different colors of gak in it, it was when it was really popular, i think sometime in the early 90s. anyways, i was really excited, until my asshole cousin mushed all the colors together to make this nasty shit-colored brown, and proceeded to shove the entire mess down the back of my tights. I'm still bitter about that one.

When I was in college, I would always go home for Christmas, but last year I graduated and now I live on the other side of the country. I go home for Thanksgiving, so I stay here for Christmas. Last year, my roommate went home for a long winter break, so I was here by myself, and, over those weeks, I watched his Seinfeld DVDs, seasons 1 through 5. I would watch an episode, then immediately watch it again with commentary, my ultimate goal being to see every minute of extras each disc had to offer. It was a very magical time, so when he goes home this year, I hope to enjoy seasons 6 through 9 and experience the same magic.

The reason this is fun is because it's such a good show.

Cheers,
Diego

Ahaha- I'm an idiot.
That 4:15 Anonymous was me (dishwasher story).

That's a very sweet bird story, kittycatgirl. Also, if I was there for the sheep story, I'd probably be retelling it all the time.

Ah heres a short Christmas memory for ya. My boyfriend was driving me over to his mother's house on Christmas day for their "gift opening" thing they had every year. We passed by a church that had a live nativity going and a block later I saw a man walking some white puffy looking animal that was rather large and was wearing a festive red and green "vest thing". I did not have my glasses or contacts in and when I saw the animal I exclaimed "LOOK! Its a sheep!!" and of course my boyfriend at the time fell over laughing and nearly caused us to wreck because my "sheep" was really just a large shaggy dog in a Christmas costume.....
But there WAS that live nativity so it COULD have been a sheep.
He told everyone the story (though I begged him not to) so it gets retold every year.

From a younger perspective, we had this really old artificial tree that was purchased from KMart. It was decent for the time but after about seven years it was starting to get long in the tooth and had trouble sitting in its fake stand. It kept falling over.... so my dad secured it with fishing wire instead of buying a new tree. We did that for several years, having the top held up by fishing line that connected to the ceiling.

Ahhh and another year, my white canary managed to open his cage door and "hide" in the tree. We used to have ALOT of bird ornaments (cardinals, doves, etc) so he wasn't easy to find... til he started singing. We didn't know he was missing one time and we had some guests over and of course Snowflake started singing and trilling away and whoever was visiting remarked at how "lifelike" that bird ornament was. hilarious!
