Aha, I’m back.
Gotta say, I love how it’s branched out in to a new style of puzzle. We’ve had code-breakers, anagrams, rebus, wordsearch, scrambled image and audio.
Graham, I had a bit of trouble because The could have been Thee, Rum could have been Drum and as I’m british I also saw “Mum”.
And now, a diversion because I want to tell you all about last night, because heck, I’m fairly bored. So, I went to bed at gone 3am after waiting for the SNT and having looked at Rabbit stuff and other weird things. I’d also had about a litre and a half of creamed mocha during the night.
So, I go to bed and had a Box 23 Thread dream, in which most of you were there (and because I don’t know you, you all had the uncanny ability to change faces nearly everytime I spoke to you). We were trapped in a house, like in Saw 2, with weird tricks and Resident Evil-esque puzzles all around. Whenever we’d solve them, instead of telling each other we’d return to a small study and put them on this thread. At one point, to get through a room we all had to put on clothes made of burlap and rabbit masks that looked very realistic. There was also a teenager rabbit who would wander around but we could never get him to hear us. Everytime we looked out a window the scenery would be different, from city alley to frosty meadow, and either a rabbit would be staring back through or we’d turn away, look back and it’d be there. David Suchet played Waiterbot during a vlog. Several of you also need to decide not just on what your face is, but also your gender. It was really starting to bother me. Dio and Lex were identical twins, Kitty was still drawing that cage picture, Ben changed his face every five bloody minutes.
Then, I awoke 2hours later because some drunk guy had smashed the window of a car right outside my place, opened the door and was laying in it kicking the windscreen with his boot. So, with body shaking from too much coffee and not enough sleep, I then had to deal with Police operators. I go back to bed and my entire body shakes until the alarm goes off.
That was a long diversion!

I, too, received emails from HU – the ‘r’ and ‘e’ .jpgs. No message, just the pics. Has anyone tried lining them up with eachother to see how they form a larger picture? I have no ability to do anything remotely cool like that, but I’m pretty sure they fit together like a puzzle.. we may need to wait for more images tho… Ugh! Moving continues today and I’m on the road for most of the day… don’t do anything too cool without me and feel free to email me anything you think I may appreciate (If I have time to get online it will only be very briefly).

Dohopoki, I had wondered that, but I thought the skeletons had gaps in the ribs or a black background.
I tried searching for them, and couldn’t find a solid knobbly ribbed one.
Have you seen one with that structure recently?

Boy…where do I start?
I don’t feel like going into a blow-by-blow of the day. Frankly, I’m still reeling from it. The short version is…we get there, it’s beautiful, it’s gorgeous, it’s sunny…and it would’ve been the perfect place to rekindle a little lost love. But Mare wasn’t there. You know who WAS there, though? Santa Claus.
Now when I say “Santa Claus” …I don’t mean the one we’re working with this year. I mean last year’s, who was a really great guy and a good friend, and who was appropriately jolly if admittedly a bit apathetic towards being Santa. Which isn’t to say he wasn’t responsible, because he was, and…oh jeez, I said I didn’t want to do a blow-by-blow.
The point is, SANTA saw Mare. Long time ago, though, and he told me Mare had already gone, and that it wasn’t worth trying to track her down because she’s, quote unquote, “just that kind of girl.” Turns out, Mare isn’t in danger. She’s just flighty. Way flighty. Flighty and kind of a jerk who leaves her ex-boyfriends without a clue that they’re no longer real boyfriends. Not that I’m bitter.
So there ya have it. I dragged Tigerboy all the way to Tahiti for nothing, and I came back with nothing but a broken heart.
I didn’t ask for a broken heart for Christmas. All I wanted was freakin’ sneakers.
So, I’ve tried to break it easy to the poor guy…
Knacks, we’ve been routing for you, but there’s something more sinister going on, and damn it if the pirates weren’t in on it! And if they spoke to Santa, man, you can’t even trust the Claus!
The thing is, how would you feel if Mare lost a lot of weight, like the vast majority?
You need to watch your back, and be prepared for some ol’ fashioned avenging!

Yikes, looks like I missed a lot. Guise, on the subject of your dream, that sounds like something I would do, given the chance.
So Mare2 is a skeleton? Knacks won’t be happy. But if they still have that voodoo doll, shouldn’t they be able to revive her?
This was definitely the most gruesome turn this calendar has taken.
Drank too much and stayed up all night watching the new season of Everest on On Demand. Now I’m hungover. Couldn’t even come up with an anagram for FORGE ART this morning. Unnh… I need some sleep. Or more coffee.
