Hi guys — Going to be posting a new entry soon. When I do, I’ll also post a new (and maybe last?) #23 thread. So someone might want to have the primer on deck. :)

Get Slimer on deck. Aye aye.

Ghosted by dohopoki @ 12/17/2007 3:54 PM EST

I will admit to having laughed myself silly at the “malarkey” exchange.

Ghosted by Rhino @ 12/17/2007 3:54 PM EST

oh ya. I’s back.
*dances*

Ghosted by kittymao @ 12/17/2007 3:59 PM EST

Matt, all pumped up and ready for a new thread.

Sad to see the ‘maybe last’, but inevitable. You’ve done a bang up job on this one, and I think you have all our appreciation and awe for what you’ve put together.

Ghosted by Guise @ 12/17/2007 3:59 PM EST

Hey there Kitty, there’s some Hssxxlllo moments of pure ‘aww-ness’ backed up waiting for you! ;)

Ghosted by Guise @ 12/17/2007 4:02 PM EST

I sawed it!
so very squee!
I want a Hssxxllo of my own!
ee!

Ghosted by kittymao @ 12/17/2007 4:10 PM EST

Kitty, I have the bunny packs and Utrom figures from Turtles added to my list of things to hunt down after Christmas…

Ghosted by Guise @ 12/17/2007 4:18 PM EST

Hssxxlllo is totally having second thoughts… cute little guy. And man, if Trudy is one of the bad guys, her evil plot is to eat them out of house and home!!! She’s a tank that one!

I can’t wait to see what Wimpybot is gonna do to prove his evilness. So awesome. Only half way through the advent and already I’m starting to miss it.

We must be more vigilant for the next thread… no clue unturned, no anagram unsolved. We could be legends!!! Whadya think?? Anybody out there?? Guys? Guise??

FM

i’m pondering doingthe same thing myself- maybe a Unicorn too!

Ghosted by kittymao @ 12/17/2007 4:19 PM EST

I want a Hssxxllo of my own as well. I was seriously tempted to get one from the Playmobil website, but then realized I don’t have anywhere nice to display it.

Ghosted by Tresjolie9 @ 12/17/2007 4:19 PM EST

Tres, heh, a box frame for models, filled with black foam. Cut a cuboid shape out to hold Hssxxlllo, and add a small picture from the calendar in the space provided.

Then place candles and rose petals around.

Ghosted by Guise @ 12/17/2007 4:27 PM EST

I would carry mine with me!
Me and Hssxxllo- buddies fer evah!

Ghosted by Anonymous @ 12/17/2007 4:28 PM EST

ROTFL, I’ve never had collectibles to display, I also stink at arts and crafts. However I’m so tempted to do this! Yes, I know on the website Hare Winningham is in a very offensive position

http://store.playmobilusa.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-US-Site/en_US/Product-Show?pid=4456&cgid=Osterhasen

But it is so tempting to have myself my own Hssxxllo, in a display with candles, and rose petals. Although Hssxllo does come packaged with Hare.

Tresjolie
I don’t know if I’d be much good as a contributor but I’d sure as hell read an Advent Wiki if there is one.

Sorry for the DP but can I just say how much I “love” my computer?

Ghosted by Dan H @ 12/17/2007 4:51 PM EST

Might be something, might be nothing, but do we think there’s any significance to Waiterbot’s leash disappearing a couple days ago?

Ghosted by Rhino @ 12/17/2007 5:24 PM EST

Good theory, Rhino. In the Mele Kalikimaka video, where they showed a close up of the house, was Mare II’s leash missing?

Ghosted by Tresjolie9 @ 12/17/2007 5:31 PM EST

Maybe Legotron and Waiterbetty have it?

Ghosted by Guise @ 12/17/2007 6:21 PM EST

Lol, at the idea of Waiterbetty and Legotron. I will not write XE related fanfic. I will resist the urge to write Legotron/Waiterbetty, I will resist the urge to write about what else could have happened when Kuse/Knacks were hugging…

Ghosted by Tresjolie9 @ 12/17/2007 6:30 PM EST

Tres, oh you know you want to! I think I need the last nail in the coffin to make the “Give Coal List”…

As Legotron sealed the final knot around the fleshy appendages protruding from Waiterbetty’s bloated form, six of his heads gave a deep, wanting sigh.

His paramour looked up, the passion lighting the red pupils in her turqoise eyes like bright koi in an japanese ornamental lake. She bit her lip flabby lip and gave a passionate purr. Though several of her tentacles were now secure, she still had enough mobility to hold his form close, and bathe in the shadows his heads gave.

Mills and Boon Advent Calendar here I come…

Ghosted by Guise @ 12/17/2007 7:02 PM EST

yo dood, eew.
*gets brainbleach for unwanted visuals*

Ghosted by kittymao @ 12/17/2007 7:06 PM EST

Hmm. Good theroys everyone. But something just isnt right. Anyone feel like were all in a ARG?

Ghosted by Andre @ 12/17/2007 7:08 PM EST

Oh my god,Guise, very well done, even though you forgot to include the leash.

I’m definitely getting coal in my stocking this year, although I could probably use it for a mid winter barbecue.

Ghosted by Tresjolie9 @ 12/17/2007 7:11 PM EST

Tres, what did you think he was using for knot tying? ;) I didn’t want to go in to too much detail.

I’m not exactly in Santa’s good books anyway, so coal is better than nothing!

Andre, there is a lot not quite right, but it’s been pretty laid out and seems more a storytelling aspect with an end in sight.

From the very start things have progressed at a pace where we usually get a part of the mystery that ties in to the next day of the calendar (well, except before December 1st, where it was very conspiracy based).

Though, I do think in some ways what goes on in the threads has an impact, whether to alter pace, push or hold back clues or even slightly amend minor plot points – but that might be ego.

Ghosted by Guise @ 12/17/2007 7:21 PM EST

I have to agree with Guise- not to mention that if Matt is Busy, he can’t post new things to keep us busy. So a lot of time is psent waiting, and solving. When something happens here- it’s a flurry- but only for an hour or so. it’s both exciting and frustrating.

And I hope we have entertained him as much as he done for us.

Ghosted by kittymao @ 12/17/2007 8:01 PM EST

Bah, 1am…guess I’m not going to be here to see in the new thread, blog entry or calendar box. Have a good one, folks.

Try not to think too much of Waiterbetty, tied up with Cher’s leash…with her SSF!

Ghosted by Guise @ 12/17/2007 8:55 PM EST

Thanks for leaving us with that visual Guise! What a guy!

Ghosted by Dan H @ 12/17/2007 9:01 PM EST

Maybe by the time I go to bed we’ll have more mystery solving on our hands. My Scooby-Skills haven’t really been utilized, since there hasn’t been anybody to unmask. :P

Ghosted by Ben @ 12/17/2007 9:10 PM EST

yep, working on the anagram all day, nothing
ug
i hate this, i never have anything to add
and the days pretty much over

Ghosted by Graham @ 12/17/2007 10:00 PM EST

Hey everybody! Wow, it feels weird to be away so much but not have too many posts to read. In a way it’s nice, since I can concentrate on my exams (which STILL aren’t bloody over) and work. But on the other hand, I do really miss all the mystery.

Anyways, I was wondering – does anyone else think (or hope) that we might get to see more ‘Mares’ from the Princess calendar? Y’know, maybe a Judy, or a Rudy? And I wonder what rhyme scheme the ‘Mares’ (if there are any) from the Knight calendar will have? Anna, Lanna, Deanna? Sara, Kara, and Tara? Ooh, and Farrah. Like Farrah Fawcett. LOL.

Mary, Carey, and Sherry? Amelia, Cornelia, and Adelia? Elle, Belle, Adelle? Wow, this is actually really fun. XD I might be at this a while…

Ghosted by Frakkyfire @ 12/17/2007 11:19 PM EST

Frakky
From the pictures I saw it looked like it was all male characters in the Knights calendar but you never know. I think Matt reads thru these and decides what curve ball to throw at us from there.

Ghosted by Dan H @ 12/17/2007 11:52 PM EST

Ooh, 17th is up and Hssxxlllo’s holding Kuse hostage with a hairdryer! Eeek. Do you think those papers are the ones that we’ve been seeing on the /thing/ page etc.?

And it appears that the rhyme scheme isn’t happening. I’m rather disappointed.

Ghosted by Frakkyfire @ 12/18/2007 2:29 AM EST

I was wondering that as well, maybe it’s something new? I’ll hvae to keep an eye out and see if anything shows up.

Ghosted by Dan H @ 12/18/2007 2:32 AM EST

I just realized – it’s probably the letter from /thing/truth. Since it’s actually addressed to someone. I guess the eyes that are referred to in it are Kuse’s?

Ghosted by Frakkyfire @ 12/18/2007 2:33 AM EST

It looks like Hare is giving Santa a Mare of his own. Unless box 18 has flowers in it. =P

Ghosted by Ben @ 12/18/2007 4:06 AM EST

Well does everyone know that Hare is from Amathea? That means Amathea must have to do with something in the story. One more thing. Has anyone noticed that the Advent calendar has been updating pretty late?

Ghosted by Andre @ 12/18/2007 6:32 AM EST

Ben, or a Jacob II.

The Leviathan stirs?

Ghosted by Guise @ 12/18/2007 6:32 AM EST

Andre, the Amalthea link was hinted at from the original BatRib page in the last week of November and has been a fair focus for some of the time, now it appears that Amalthea was where Hare was banished to for her interpretation of their religious code (in other words, she was sent there because she’s completely off her carrot). Hssxxlllo followed her, believing in her message. They met the spirit father, Hare killed him.

This of course raises the question, did he reside there or was he summoned there? They want to perform a summoning of “The One Who Will Save US”, so where he comes from is unknown, as well as the full identity of “N”.

As for the calendar being late, Matt is only one man, and it’s a pretty busy time of the year. He’s always (well, nearly…) managed to deliver when it counts though.
