Nizz–I thought it was another Box-type character. It was definitely box #6 that they opened/destroyed.

“If you can read this you don’t need glasses” – HA! These bunnies are now jokers??? btw: those images are pics of the same note, right?

Ghosted by Nizz @ 12/07/2007 1:00 AM EST

Nizz, yeah, I’m pretty sure…they all fit together into a mostly coherent entry.

Ghosted by Vanilla Fire @ 12/07/2007 1:03 AM EST

The godlike figure is the Prince from Thomas Hobbes’s Leviathan. For those who don’t know, it’s Hobbes’s argument for a totalitarian monarch, whose ends justify the means.

That is Spring from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, to further specify Nizz’s comment. I think. If it isn’t, the I would guess it’s something by Handel. Aren’t Mares women? That looked like a dude, and I think they put Mrs. Snowman’s hat on him.

Ghosted by Ben @ 12/07/2007 1:04 AM EST

Whoops, my bad. It’s Autumn from the Four Seasons by Vivaldi.

Ghosted by Ben @ 12/07/2007 1:07 AM EST

Also–the video is called 12-666, if anyone wants to speculate.

Ghosted by Vanilla Fire @ 12/07/2007 1:09 AM EST

And the video is titled 12…666. Sorry to triple post! (unless somebody is going to post between my last entry and this one)

Ghosted by Ben @ 12/07/2007 1:09 AM EST

I’ve always beleived that part of Four Seasons is/was Spring which fits with the Easter theme, but I could have been living my life under a lie all these years.
Also, 12-666, I’m guessing, means that december is the month of the devil – commercialization, etc. (harkening back to some of the earlier messages from our hoppy little friend/enemies…
I’m gone for the night now, kids. Don’t stay up too late and turn out the light… see you in a few

Ghosted by Nizz @ 12/07/2007 1:42 AM EST

Anyone else think it’s strange that, to protest the commercialization of Xmas, the bunnies are resurrecting Santa (ie, the SYMBOL OF COMMERCIALISM) and that it’s all centered around Playmobil and Lego Advent Calendars–again, more commercialization?

Just a thought that struck me.

Also, if their complaint is that Christmas is too commercial, it would seem to indicate that they want to return it to it’s roots…ie, the birth of Christ, but that to do this, they are using pagan (and therefore, anti-Christian, according to Christian teachings) methods.

(…After writing all that, I reread the AC for today, where it was talking about the pagan roots of Christmas, so maybe those are the roots they’re trying to return to? I don’t know…it’s late.)

Hey, does anyone else think that the smudge after ‘what comes next?’ is important? I tried doing stuff with it in Photoshop, but my skills are pretty pathetic. Also, the images are labeled aaaaa, bbbbb, ccccc, ddddd, eeeee7777, and fffff. It would seem that the ‘e’ image is important – the only thing that I can think of here is the word ‘gufil’ at the bottom, since it’s not actually a word. And I wonder why the bottom edge of the paper is burnt? There was another word there…

On a rather different note, has anyone noticed that Matt’s scribbles in the background of the X-E pages include the equation ‘1000 + 428 = 1428′? It caught my eye because that’s Nancy’s house in a Nightmare on Elm Street. Think he’s been into these sort of number appearances for a while?

Ghosted by Frakkyfire @ 12/07/2007 2:49 AM EST

It seems to me that the bunnies now have their own version of Box… and that their version of him can fly.

Ghosted by DocDragon @ 12/07/2007 3:04 AM EST

Frakkyfire: I think that word is “gutts” or “guilt”.

Ghosted by DrummerJay @ 12/07/2007 3:24 AM EST

That doodle in the top right looks like a TIE Fighter with a bunny silhouette behind it.

Frakkyfire and DrummerJay: I also thought it says guilt. That would make the most sense, too, unless it was gutts. If it was gutts, then I would expect the bunnies to whip out an old NES and fire up MegaMan 1 so they could show off their mad jumping skills.

……….

Hole. E. Crap.

(It seems like I have a bad habit of double posting tonight) Did any of you analyze what was written?
“One wrong can right their 700.” It sounds like they want to fix whatever problem our heroes got into, and probably with a pointy and/or fiery death.
“We hope they see our greater good.” This is coming back to Hobbes’s “the ends justify the means” arguments. The bunnies could have good intentions, but are going about it in a very violent manner. Like, if you could either negotiate a release of a hostage to a crazy, or get a sniper to take him/her out. If both have equal chances of success, some (like John Locke or Vash the Stampede, I’m sure) would negotiate, while others (Thomas Hobbes and Millions Knives*) would shoot the guy. The rabbits are in the latter party, using violence to further their ends.

*I don’t know why I have Trigun on my mind.

ONE LAST THING: I’m going to offer my own translation of what this thing says. It’s basically one or two modifications to Vanilla Fire’s.
Did I want 2? No.
But we do what we need 2.
Do two wrongs make 1 right? No. But one wrong can right their 700 wrongs.

Dangerous to work the spirits this way, we hope that they see our greater good, we hope they lessen our sentence because of it.
Where 2 nest? Excellent question. Many places, really. #1 goal is to salvage this event from the muck that had caused it. We’re gaining hands -– and they’re capable.
What must be done next means nothing to them & everything to us. That’s what’s so funny about this. We think we’re hurting them, but we’re not. We’re the ones with the guilt. We’re the 1’s who will burn at the stake for these sins. Th (burned)

Ghosted by Ben @ 12/07/2007 3:48 AM EST

I don’t think it’s a version of box. Just a prince or something. That can fly.

Ghosted by dohopoki @ 12/07/2007 3:56 AM EST

Gah, last post, I swear. Then I’m going to bed. The margins say:
Left, near top: thing / Next (scratched out)

Bottom left: IF U CAN READ THIS U DON’T NEED *something*

The word is too short to be “glasses,” I think. Maybe goggles? Matt, could you please send a higher resolution version of that picture to any one of us? :D ?

Ghosted by Ben @ 12/07/2007 3:59 AM EST

Dio and Lex: Well, hope you graduate sooner. Be sure to say bye to everyone who is graduating that you know.

Ghosted by The Good Guy @ 12/07/2007 4:09 AM EST

Ok, a little longer than 5 minutes after. I’ll get cracking then.

Ghosted by Guise @ 12/07/2007 7:32 AM EST

good morning, good morning
no update?
well off to school then

Ghosted by Graham @ 12/07/2007 7:36 AM EST

Still too early for me but just wanted to make a quick observation. The header on dinosaurdracula.com/next is 7777-7772. If you add the numbers 7772 together you get the number 23. That’s all I got for now, I’m heading back to bed.

Ghosted by Dan H @ 12/07/2007 7:36 AM EST

Holy crap, I actually found something! Link is http://dinosaurdracula.com/thing/Next/Leviathan/

check it out.

Ghosted by Trash @ 12/07/2007 9:29 AM EST

zAlright, so I’ve looked over the new page. The title of it is !A Fuselage Night Sings My!…which is way to long to be an anagram (I hope) But if you break down the words, night could be knight…fuselage could be something to do with burning as in burning santa…damn, maybe it is an anagram…back to work on that.

also, there is something behind the figure. It looks like an h…\w maybe. I’m at work so I can’t pull the image apart right now.

anyway, anagramers, lets get anagramming…(yeah, I made up a word.)

Ghosted by Trash @ 12/07/2007 9:59 AM EST

Another one to add to the anagram list: “UnevennessMovesIfI” (the background image on /next/leviathan). I suck at anagrams, so I’ll pass for now…

Ghosted by Dr Sketch @ 12/07/2007 10:04 AM EST

Trash, good find! Bloody long anagram, could mean a lot.

Ghosted by Guise @ 12/07/2007 10:07 AM EST

Damned double posts… Could using “Melikaliki Maka” (or however it’s spelled) be another clue? Since both Mare II and Santa are in Tahiti, and that song is considered an island Christmas song…. I dunno, just a thought. I couldn’t sleep last night, and when I did I dreamt of bunnies. :)

Ghosted by Dr Sketch @ 12/07/2007 10:07 AM EST

How did you find that?

Ghosted by dohopoki @ 12/07/2007 10:17 AM EST

Does it say “iguanna dubbed it” above his head?

Ghosted by Jeremy @ 12/07/2007 10:24 AM EST

It says HU/HW

Ghosted by Trash @ 12/07/2007 10:24 AM EST

Sorry…that should be Trash, it says HU/HW

Ghosted by Guise @ 12/07/2007 10:25 AM EST

Also in the text on the leviathan page is something about an iguana, I couldn’t quite make it out but it looks like “iguana dubbed it”. maybe another anagram?

Ghosted by Dan H @ 12/07/2007 10:26 AM EST

Jeremy, a good catch…another damn anagram…

Ghosted by Guise @ 12/07/2007 10:27 AM EST

UnevennessMovesIfI = Five Minus Seven Ones

or Seven Minus Five Ones

Ghosted by Jeremy @ 12/07/2007 10:42 AM EST

My brain is toast. These are too big for me, I don’t even know where to start on these ones. Matt beat me.

Ghosted by Guise @ 12/07/2007 10:44 AM EST

Five sevens minus one, maybe? So 7777?

Ghosted by Keiri @ 12/07/2007 10:45 AM EST

I was hoping to get something better than 7777 out of that.

Ghosted by Jeremy @ 12/07/2007 11:02 AM EST

Well, today will be the 7th day of the Advent Calendar. Maybe shit is going to hit the fan.

Ghosted by dohopoki @ 12/07/2007 11:08 AM EST

For this part

Did I want 2? No.
But we do what we need 2.
Do two wrongs make 1 right? No. But one wrong can right their 700 wrongs.
+77+7000
___________
7777

If you look at the equation, they say two three times and they say 1 so that would equal 7 and then you have their 700 wrongs

Ghosted by Rob @ 12/07/2007 11:19 AM EST

Or five sevens minues one.

Ghosted by TheKingInYellow @ 12/07/2007 11:20 AM EST

I’m going mad with the fuselage anagram…

Something about sunging hymns, flames, use…errgghh. I really suck at the anagrams, sorry!

Ghosted by divechaz @ 12/07/2007 11:25 AM EST

I haven’t been much help, but I’m trying the ‘Iguana Rubbed It’ anagram, and I keep thinking it comes to ‘A nu rabbit guide’, or something like that.

Ghosted by TheKingInYellow @ 12/07/2007 11:30 AM EST

Anyone else interested in the Latin? It says “There is no power above which should compare (or something along those lines–it’s subjunctive) and Job 41.24.”

Job 41:24 is “It’s heart is as hard as stone \, as hard as the lower millstone.”–discussing Leviathan (or “the Crocodile, according to my NOAB).

Not sure if that means anything, just wanted to translate something.

Ghosted by Vanilla Fire @ 12/07/2007 11:45 AM EST

IguanaRubbedIt = Buried But Again ???

Ghosted by Jeremy @ 12/07/2007 11:51 AM EST

I’m not even sure the second word is ‘rubbed’ but if it is, it seems so likely that ‘rabbit’ would be in the solved anagram…

Ghosted by TheKingInYellow @ 12/07/2007 11:55 AM EST

Do we know what HU/HW is?

Ghosted by Jeremy @ 12/07/2007 12:10 PM EST

Trash or others, where did you find Fuselage Night Sings My, I didn’t see it anywhere.

also for “iguana ??bbed it” I really can’t tell those two mystry letters and its hard to break down the anagram without them.

Ghosted by Rob @ 12/07/2007 12:18 PM EST

Once again, the picture is from Thomas Hobbes’ Leviathan. The wood carving is the book’s fronts piece. I doubt the Latin could be too significant, since the image always has it in there.

What about One Seven Minus Five? ..S. I suck at anagrams. =P

As for UnevennessMovesIfI, what about envisions seven fumes? That’s all I got.

Ghosted by Ben @ 12/07/2007 12:18 PM EST

I take back most of what I said about the Latin, since I just found the “Iguana rubbed/subbed It” thing. =D

Ghosted by Ben @ 12/07/2007 12:21 PM EST

Also I think the part that says it means everything to us and nothing to them, I think this deals with Santa, our heros just left his corpse there and didn’t care while he seems to be very central to the bunnies

Ghosted by rob @ 12/07/2007 12:21 PM EST

Rob, the fuselage one is the page title

Ghosted by Guise @ 12/07/2007 12:22 PM EST

Good morning… sorry for not being around much, but I’ll make up for it now. Question: Where did the /Leviathon link come from? What lead you there?
I’ll work on the anagrams in the meantime.
