The /HaTamle/Batrib/ flashing seizure generator, where it said to “come back”.

Chestnuts roasted by Guise @ 11/29/2007 3:10 PM

Um, ok, imagine I spelled it right? Thanks.

Kittymao, oh, your earlier thing about do they have a Santa or a Mare…well, Mare II did survive Advent 2006, so they could have both. A muse and ammunition?

I’ve been looking into instances of the number ’7777′ that may be related to the ongoing activity concerning a possible takeover of the Advent celebration by rabbits in possession of a second Santa Claus. Here’s what I’ve found so far:

LEGO publication number 7777
Possible bearing on Advent conspiracy: LEGO characters Kuse and Knacks were a part of X-Entertainment’s Advent celebration even before LEGO Advent Calendars were being reviewed on the site. Toy trains are particularly associated with the Christmas season and are often used as decorations. A LEGO/train/Christmas connection seems almost natural.

TCP Port 7777
Possible bearing on Advent conspiracy: The protocol name for TCP port 7777 is “Tini,” perhaps a subtle nod to the size of the Advent toys. While this is not conclusively linked to the conspiracy, what’s much more interesting to note is that port 7777 is commonly used by the Internet relay chat bot with the very Easter-friendly name ‘eggdrop.’

Marconi’s ‘Four Sevens’ Patent
Possible bearing on Advent conspiracy: A number of the clues to the conspiracy have been very difficult to see or hear intelligibly, being akin to a radio or television broadcast being very out of tune. Marconi, the inventor of the method of separating radio signals through ‘tuning,’ was granted patent number 7777 in April 1900 to protect the intellectual property rights of his tuning method. Additionally, one of the few local unions numbered 7777 in the United States is, you guessed it, a chapter of the Communication Workers Of America, who’s members are employed in telecommunications and broadcasting. On a totally unrelated note, there is a UHF/VHF TV antenna preamplifier called the Channel Master 7777, a device used to improve the quality of television tuning.

Asuka Sakai’s Fugue #7777
Possible bearing on Advent conspiracy: We first learned of Matt’s rabbit Jupiter when Matt told us about chewing through the cables of his brand new Sega Dreamcast, destroying the machine. In 2004 the video game Katamari Damacy was released for the PlayStation 2, a descendant of the Dreamcast. The video game features the music “Fugue #7777″ by Asuka Sakai. Katamari Damacy features a character called The King of All Cosmos who refers to himself as “we” which is not unlike what we’ve heard from the rabbits so far (“things we will do,” “we will be legends,” etc.). The King is also notable for the intentionally unintelligible, scratchy audio used for his speech, not unlike the distorted electronic voices we’ve heard so far in the audio clues. The player character in the game is The Prince, who is numerically notable for his 23 cousins, a possible connection to box #23, which was burned on 23 Dec 2006.

The Arctic GT 7777
Possible bearing on Advent conspiracy: None whatsoever. I just find it pretty amusing that the last time we see the burned-up Santa he was a red lump of plastic covered with black char. The Arctic GT 7777 is a red and black portable charcoal grill, that, in addition to its Santa-like color scheme, is a device used to char things. This is the kind of thing that makes me chuckle.

Holy Moly

Chestnuts roasted by dohopoki @ 11/29/2007 3:54 PM

Okay, I know someone was asking about the “clicking” sound in the background, didn’t know if anyone else had mentioned this or not, but rabbits make a soft clicking noise when they are happy and content. They make a loud grinding or aggressive clicking noise when they are uncomfortable or in pain.

Perhaps that’s what the clicking noise on the videos is?

Chestnuts roasted by Special K @ 11/29/2007 4:01 PM

Sorry, I forgot to mention that LEGO publication number 7777 is entitled LEGO Trains Idea Book.

(bold) CHRIS (bold): Where have you been all this time!?!?! Well done! Eggsellent!!

Chestnuts roasted by Nizz @ 11/29/2007 4:12 PM

Thanks Chris. As an aside with Tini, but the brachylagus is the Pygmy genera of rabbit.

Chestnuts roasted by Guise @ 11/29/2007 4:28 PM

Let us just remember-
we are dealing with Matt.
Or… Matt Posing as Bunnies.
Nazi Bunnies.
What would Matt Posing as Nazi Bunnies find relevant?
I think the broadcsting one is quite relevant…

Chestnuts roasted by kittymao @ 11/29/2007 4:30 PM

December 17th, 2005 “WAITERBETTY: You call this living?! Fenced off in Santa’s living room?! We’ve been reduced to pet bunnies! You know my feelings on rabbits!

Chestnuts roasted by dohopoki @ 11/29/2007 4:37 PM

dohopoki – Sweet Jesus! How did I miss that?!?

Chestnuts roasted by Chris @ 11/29/2007 4:39 PM

Jeez, this could be deeper than we thought!

Chestnuts roasted by Ben @ 11/29/2007 4:44 PM

Ben, it might yet explode! Clicking to open box #1 on the 1st of December and being greeted by the .mov of a thundering explosion.

It may go deeper, but it also goes right to the TOP!

Chestnuts roasted by Guise @ 11/29/2007 4:48 PM

Deeper?? What do you mean deeper…If it goes any deeper than TCP Port 7777 I’m going to kill myself.

Chris, there’s another one to consider:

Ocean’s four sevens, when good-looking good guys are trying to steal lots of money to good-looking bad guys. Only this time by good-looking good guys I mean Mare, Kuse and Knacks, by lots of money I mean Christmas, and by good-looking bad guys I mean Nazi Rabbits…errrr.

Chestnuts roasted by melonian @ 11/29/2007 4:53 PM

That would be the coolest introduction ever. lol

Chestnuts roasted by Ben @ 11/29/2007 4:53 PM

To clarify, when I said it could go “deeper” I meant that Matt may have been building up for this for years. =P

Chestnuts roasted by Ben @ 11/29/2007 4:54 PM

well, when we started doing anagrams I recalled a while back that Matt had stated in the title bar that “X-entertainment is an anagram. Can you Figure it out?”
Could he have been prepping our brains for this?
How long has he been planning this Advent Calendar?

Chestnuts roasted by kittymao @ 11/29/2007 4:55 PM

Dec 4, 2002 –

“Hey, wait a second – maybe they’re chocolate. Easter bunnies? Oh wait, it’s a Christmas advent calendar.”

Yup, right back to the beginning..

Chestnuts roasted by Candace @ 11/29/2007 5:00 PM

Kittymao, well you know X-Entertainment is “MARE NEXT IN TENT” or “EXTRA MEN IN TENT” so maybe a camping trip goes sour for our heroes.

Chestnuts roasted by Guise @ 11/29/2007 5:02 PM

I think Matt just got on an anagram kick to be honest.

Chestnuts roasted by dohopoki @ 11/29/2007 5:09 PM

I wonder if Matt will do an exclusive “Behind The Scenes/All The Answers” thing afterwards to let us know how long he’s been plotting and working on this, and whether this is what he expected as a following?

I’d love to see an insight in to his creative process for this one.

Chestnuts roasted by Guise @ 11/29/2007 5:18 PM

damn, cause I hate anagrams.
Why couldn’t he have gone on like… a word search kick, or those nifty “one of these things is not like the others” kick like on old Sesame Street.
That would have been sweet…
playmobil santa, torched santa, lego santa, Nazi Bunny.

Chestnuts roasted by kittymao @ 11/29/2007 5:20 PM

guise
I’ve been thinking that too- I keep trying to limit my thoughts on a “what would Matt think” level, otherwise I’d be all running around searching for bog bunnies named Burns and being completely off the level.
