I’m trying to rock the spirit. Just finished a pumpkin cream chee from Starbucks, and I think I’ll throw on Young Frankenstein since I recorded it earlier…though now I kinda want to watch Death Proof, again. Little Bro votes for the first Treehouse of Horror though. I got a bunch of junk together for a Mood Table, but the table I had in mind was dingier than I expected so I’ve been stymied on that front.

Cartoon Network is showing Goosebumps. I find it a bit strange that the Cartoon Network is showing a live action show, but it brings back good memories from my childhood. =P

Today in Southern California it was more like January than October. It actually rained; not really hard, but enough to make my birdwatching trip really muddy. But we need the rain here, so I won’t complain.

The people at the office decorated things nicely, with orange pumpkin bunting and everything. But yeah, I personally haven’t been able to really get into the Halloween spirit since I was about 17. Still can’t get enough candy though.

Also, I’ve had Nat Geo on in the background all night. Can’t see the TV, but I’ve heard some promo for an upcoming “snake bites some random guy” show about 100,000 times. Somehow, this promo mentions bat feces. So, I’ve heard the term “bat feces” 100,000 times tonight.

No, and they should’ve, because the voice-over guy sounds like he’s saying “bad feces.” The first 50,000 times, I thought they were talking about “bad feces.” This was troubling, as I couldn’t really determine the barometer by which feces would be judged as “bad” or “good.” When I finally figured out the “bat” part, I silently mouthed, “OH! Bat feces!” And that made me feel even worse.

Robot dinosaur feces, bat feces…do I detect a trend here? Matt, do you have any idea how long the skull/zombie candles last? I’d like to burn them just long enough to make the figure look as disfigured as possible to frighten those who dare glance in the direction of their unholy awesomeness!

It’s cheapo wax, so it burns pretty quickly. However, it’s a fairly large demon head, and there’s enough headwax to keep it going for several hours before it starts to look less like a melting demon and more like melted ice cream.

Cool, thanks for the tip Matt. I too was in a pissy/bored mood earlier. But I started making coffee and now I’m all geeked out thanks to caffeine. Coffee and cigarettes are my friends for the night.
