Second time poster…first SNT I’ve ever made!!!
I am so sad!! The hub and I just got back from Walmart where I walked the isles of Halloween candy searching for ghost dots…none to be found in our store I did find the bag of Party Favors with the pink and peach turtles…I laughed and tried to explain it to my hubby, but he just didn’t get it.

Did anyone watch the Moonlight premier last night? I have it Tivo’d but I some how just cant bring myself to watch it. I only recorded it, so then I could bitch about what an obscene rip off it is of Buffy and Angel…lol.

Sorry for the double-post.. but I saw some of it, Mainer.. I was flipping between that and the USF Bulls game (they won!!) and it was pretty decent.. there were a lot of hot chicks on there.. can’t go wrong with that!

I wish I could go hunting for Halloween lollies…we don’t celebrate it here at all, except the occassional party store sells a few things the fortnight beforehand. Like banners and fake bats. Thats about it. Its pretty sad going shopping and seeing full on Christmas displays in September, because thats the next major holiday in Australia…

That’s a good point, Matt. I agree.
As far as the SNL season premiere goes, how many skits will feature LeBron James as himself? If it’s all, I don’t want to watch. For a basketball tie-in, I’m hoping LeBron James dresses up as Kazaam, but that’s a weird hope to begin with.

Jeffininer: Ugh, at least I haven’t heard any carols yet. Its not that I really mind carols (although at shopping centres do tend to overkill them), just like you said…in September?? Argh. Seeing all the trees and decorations is bad enough for me. The saddest I’ve been over excessive holidayness at shops though was earlier this year when they were putting out Easter eggs during January.

Here’s a ghost story for you- our next door neighbor finally moved out and told us the story of why; something was knocking things off their kitchen counter and dresser in their bedroom. They had no pets and the kids had all grown and moved out, they couldn’t explain it and it bothered them enough that they sold the house.
I’m not sure what I believe about hauntings, it’s somewhere between “anythings possible” and “that’s total BS”, but the unsolved cause being enough to upset them, is something in itself.

Speaking of how Halloween is celebrated in different parts of the world, I was actually engaged to someone from right outside of London, and I was shocked to find out that they didnt allow Halloween in the town where he lived, because it promoted vandolism??! I think right then, the smallest peice of me knew it would never work out…lol.

Did anyone go to the Manaphy giveaway at Toys R Us today? I did, even though it was past the assigned time (I had to work 9-3, and the event was 12-3), but they let me get the Manaphy anyway. Being on the East Coast is the best ^_^

Fortunately I haven’t noticed Christmas stuff here in California-not yet, anyway.
I’ve been rediscovering the old Disney cartoons on YouTube lately, with Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck and the like. Some of them I hadn’t seen since I watched the Disney Channel regularly about 20 years ago. Damn those guys for not playing any of their old stuff lately! After all, that, not Kim Possible or High School Musical, is what made them what they are today!
