My dying wish is for an owl/camel hybrid, which I call camowl.

Time to die.

I've held off for long enough -- The Halloween Countdown starts Monday!

If you're new to the site, here's how it works: Every weekday between Monday and Halloween, a new spooky article will be posted, covering both new-for-2007 Halloween stuff and tons of ghoulish goodies from yesteryear. I'm pretty happy with the amount of stuff I've found so far, especially considering that I've only really just begun to shop around.

I'm busy putting together next week's articles now, so enjoy the SNT!

Happy b-day Eddie! I’m so stoked about the countdown starting!!!!

King of Kong is awesome, I saw it twice last week before it left the theatre. Good timing since I just finished up restoring one!

If we’re recommending songs for the Jukebox, I would just die if The Mighty Boocifer, the theme to the ride Ghost Hunt (I know it’s at Lake Compounce in CT, but I’m not sure if it’s anywhere else) were added. Click my name to hear the song.
BTW, I’ve operated that ride for four seasons, so that song is probably permanently soaked into my subconscious.

Awesome! Glad to see the start of the countdown. And with Superman/Doomsday coming out Tuesday and the Spider-Man 3 DVD on the way to me from the Land Down Under, next week is shaping up to be a big, big week.

The wife and I did a little shopping today and we are now the proud owners of a new pumpkin (that will later be sliced and diced) and a light-up Football-O-Lantern.

No Halloween costume for me but my nephew is going to be Leonardo – funny how TMNT has come back since my childhood.

BTW – Happy Birthday Eddie and happy SNT all!

working at radioshack actually paid off this year. I knew about a new haunted house before anybody else in town did. They are turning one of our garden centers into a haunted trail. This is the craziest spookiest center during the day so I can’t even imagine it with goblins and ghouls. Other then that we just get shitty halloween stuff here in west central ohio. wooooopfffffft.

I actually bought some deco stuff the other day…and I have a plan for the house, whcih won’t be hard since my house is naturally creepy (as the joke around here goes: “you know what you should do to make your house scary for Halloween? Uh, nothing….”)

I wish I had a reason to get a cool costume, too…

and, oh yeah: Roll Fucking Tide

sorry, it’s been awhile since we won a few :)

PLEASE let there be a return of “Ghost With The Most.” I love him so.

And I love that Beetlejuice is the “Home” button, but the Pumpkin-Head Guy from the “Pete & Pete” Halloween episode as the “About” button…just pure awesomeness.

Yeah, I’m digging the nav bar/header thingy too.

Theory Girl: I wish the double Mary was inspired by something that interesting…It’s a very unoriginal nickname of sorts.

AWESOME! I’ve been in a Halloweenie mood myself lately: the other day I was going through my DVDs to pick out all the horror/Halloween specials and get them ready to start watching in the near future. I’m also working on my own Halloween mix CD, a sequel to the one I made last year :)

YAY! Halloween time.

I got bored, and stopped by the local Dollar General, and they had some awesome stuff. If you get a chance, look at the masks there.

This is Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!

(In this town we call home…)

Oh man, the nights are getting crisper and Fall is finally in the air. I’m freakin’ ecstatic, and not just because my Trojans rolled right over Nebraska tonight. Can’t wait for the countdown!

Speaking of horror movies, Whats the scariest movie you guys ever saw. Remember going to go see pet cemetery when it first came out, and having nightmares about it for about a few months. Nothings ever scared me since then.

Chestnuts roasted by mjgrass @ 09/16/2007 12:39 AM

A new Wallgreen opened up near my house. I was pretty impressed by their Halloween selection. I’m used to drug stores having cheaper generic stuff. Walgreens had all kind of merchandise for Freddy, Jason, Leatherface, Chucky, and most importantly they had a mask of the Burger King’s King.

I also went to Dollar Tree today. They had their Halloween stuff for sell too, but it was underwhelming compared to last year.

Looking forward to the Halloween countdown.

Jacob’s Ladder and The Exorcist might not pack the same punch on repeat viewings, but the first time…ouch.

Chestnuts roasted by Matt @ 09/16/2007 12:40 AM

I saw exorcist later when it came back to the movies so I wasent to freaked, but I remember watching jacobs ladder at the movies and the scene where the guy looks in the car and sees the weird faces gave me the chills.

I think he’s talked about the Great Pumpkin before. Well, he certainly has with the lesser-known Thanksgiving episode.

when i was about 5 or 6 years old i watched the original night of the living dead with my grandfather. – it scared the holy hell outta me.
