I haven’t filled out the form yet because my local blockbuster didn’t have RE4, but it said they would send out a shipping label. I checked with them and my warranty is still good, so as soon as I track down RE4 I’ll submit and get things rolling.

I read that it might be due to Connect24, and overheating because of it. I can’t say for sure, though.

This is Nintendo we are talking about here. Even if you were out of warranty, they’d probably fix it just to make it good for you. Yes, the warranty is one year from DOP, and it extends for three months when you register the console.

Seriously, call them up, and they’ll probably ship you a box, no questions asked.

Kneg: Sorry to hear you are having the green pixel problem as well. For the last month or two I have basically learned to live with it as it isn’t really that noticeable in most games. It did make RE4 unplayable though. I know I need to deal with it, but I’ve just been putting it off.

The funny thing is that a couple of months ago, when I first noticed it, I couldn’t really find any information about the problem online. That really bothered me. I didn’t want to be the only unlucky SOB out there with this happening. At least now I can see there are entire forum threads dedicated to the issue. I’ve done a bit of research on it, but did I read correctly that Nintendo’s warranty lasts for one year from the date of purchase? I also read that you can extend the warranty for three months if/when you register it.

Considering I didn’t get my Wii until April I feel pretty confident that mine should still be covered, but I am only going off of information that I read in the Nintendo forums. Have you read anything about it?

I have Marios Strikers if anyone else has it and wants to give it a go. It’s pretty good, although the single player is kinda tough.

I played it over and over as a kid, but I rented it, so I never owned it. I got Mario64 when I got SuperMetroid the other day and owning two games that I absolutely adore but never owned is just a joygasm.

Too bad it looks like I’ll have to get my Wii fixed. It’ll be alright, it’s under warranty like you guys said.
