So, I guess my last post didn’t go through..sorry if this shows up twice.

So, let me get this straight. A long time ago some geek misspelled a word and a bunch of people latch onto it? I know this is going to come off kind of jerky as much as I don’t want it to, and I totally mean this in a light hearted way, but I stand by my initial comment. That’s just…stupid.

Thanks for filling me in on Alton Brown. I’m afraid I’m not up my Food Network. If it doesn’t come out of a box or can or can’t be grilled on an outdoor grill I’m kind of useless with it.

Alright, back in the day a programmer at Blizzard (World of Warcraft/Starcraft) accidentally typed pwned instead of owned. Easily done, as they are right next to each other on a QWERTY keyboard.

Alton Brown is the host of Good Eats, a show on Food Network. He’s quirky, funny, and rather intelligent.

Hey, Knegative, or anyone else who can answer this: You said “Alton Brown pwns”…Um, I’ve seen people say “pwns” before, and just want to know what the heck it means. I’ve seen it pop up in magazines and things. Is this some trendy new way of saying “owns” that I just don’t know about? If so, no offense or anything, but that’s just kind of..well…stupid. I don’t get it. But then again, I reject any kind of new trendy slang just on principle. I’m single handedly determined to bring back “rad”. Feel free to put that out in rotation all you like.

Oh, and who the hell is Alton Brown? Is he just a NY thing or am I totally out of the loop?
