My night was fucking awesome. I engaged in things so absolutely amazing I can’t even talk about them here, and if I did, you probably wouldn’t believe me, anyway. Too much good shit has been happening to me lately. Like any day now I’m sure it’s going to balance itself out in the form of me getting hit by a truck.
First of all, some of you may know about this drink already but my fav new party drink: Red Bull and Vodka. Holy hell, this is the best time I’ve had a ‘drinking’ type event ever and, even though I still feel the the ‘buzz’ I don’t feel ‘ugh’ at all!
Goob, I feel your pain, as I was in the same place a week ago sweating my new job. But look at it this way: if it happens, it happens, if not, then something will happen when it’s time; someone told me once that the time before you do something is meant to get you ready to do things in life, so stay positive either way And if it helps, when I worked for AFLAC -yep, that AFLAC- I took a pee test and the guy said it could take 3-5 business days to get the results. Why it takes so long to test pee, I’m not sure…
And Muppet Baby, I know what your talking about: after being away from teaching a year, I got so sick of the “why are you not teaching now?” question. I’m excited to be going back in two weeks, but also terrified

Fucking A, I missed out on an extravaganca(sp?). I’m so pissed. Last night, after I got off work, I didn’t realize it was the 13th until past midnight.
Tonight though, I was feeling Tim Curry-ish, so I put in Clue. Halfway through now.
“Nobody. Nobody, that’s what we mean. No-body. Mr. Boddy’s body, it’s gone!”

Chandelier just fell…

Somehow 4 AM came a lot fast tonight than it did last night.

I’m definitely with all you insomniacs. I’ve gone totally nocturnal lately – as in falling asleep about 8:00am and waking up at 4:00pm. That’s just my natural cycle, I think. I keep trying to stay awake during the day so that I’ll fall asleep come nighttime, but I still can’t sleep. Ugh. It’s only about 2:00am here, so maybe I can try to force myself to sleep. *sigh*

8:00am to 4:00pm is a sweet schedule, I don’t mind holding it when I can.

thank you Shuanfu for telling me that. It’s just that I’ve had so many jobs slip through my fingers because of stupid mistakes that I have made in the interview process. I screwed up on another job because of the pee test! I don’t want to tell you because it’s too personal. And can I just say, I thought you were annoying at first, especially because out of nowhere here you are and you asked what you should do about that girl that you wanted to go out with that she was still living with her ex and she was still sleeping in the same bed etc. you were like the nerdy kid that tries to blend in with the cool kids and it just makes the cool kids hate him more, but now you have grown on me
and Frakkyfire I am like that too when I am not working!! I can’t help but stay up all night the same sleep cycle you do. What I did to get into the cycle this time is I went to cnet.com and downloaded a free alarm, and then I stayed up all night, went to bed, and then got up at like 1 in the afternoon, was really tired all day, and then went to bed early. It sucks that one day, but it’s worth it because you have a regular day/night sleep cycle with everyone. I have heard of people they have work shifts from 2-10 or midnight to 8 and I hope I get a shift like that with walmart, because it would suck totally going home at night on a bike, but I just love being up and sleeping in all day I don’t know what it is. But you don’t see everybody. I think it’s because you wake up right when it’s too late to do anything like work so you just goof off. I’m proud of myself now because I got up this morning at 9:30 and the main positive is I get to watch daytime tv.
Die Hard 2 really makes me want a christmas in July…that’s one hell of a a christmas movie

Now I miss the SNT. That’s alright I actually went out and did something last night so it’s all good. I went to see SiCKO, all I’m gonna say is I feel very lucky that our health sysytem is free, and I’m also happy to know I have duel citizenship, so if Candada ever fucks up, I can move to England.
Two things I have put off are kinda big. 1.I am one lesson away from getting a drivers ed certificate that I spend 700 bucks or so on, it’s been about 5 months or so since my last lesson. 2.I haven’t gone to a doctor yet and I’m 5 months pregnant. I don’t have a family doc at the momement so thats part of it.
You guys have made me feel somewhat better about all the classes I’ve taken to be able to teach preschool before realizing that I just don’t have the fortitude to be in a classroom all day.
It’s the wee hours of the morning, and I’m vaguely insulted on behalf of someone I’ve only “met” over the internet. Times like these make me question the direction my life has taken up to this point.
So for some reason I’m ill and can’t get back to sleep so I hope you guys will forgive me talking about my little trip to Hollywood. I went to see Grindhouse at the New Beverly…The theater was pretty full, and it was obvious that a lot of people were seeing it for the first time which was neat but caught me by surprise. It was really cool watching with such an enthusiastic crowd though. They played some classic trailers beforehand, including one for Faster Pussycat Kill Kill that was hilarious and one for Mad Max that was just awesome and badass. As for the movie itself, I was afraid I’ve been romanticizing it in my head in the months since I’ve seen it but it just keeps getting better everytime. Still the movie of the year IMO.
Afterwards we drove a few miles out to Burbank for the Kwik E Mart, which as I mentioned before had a line all the way around the building. Crowd seemed like a mixture of drunks who showed up when the bars closed and younger kids who were out for an adventure. It really wasn’t anything worth waiting an hour for, but I had a couple of massive threads to catch up on so we waited. Once we got inside the coolest bit was a wall covered with drawings that Simpson’s artists had done for the store, including someone’s interpretation of Frida Kahlo (my favorite). I didn’t really go picture happy since there are plenty of photos online but I’ll upload the ones I took later if anyone’s interested.
Happy Sunday morning Post #666?

Geez, Goob, and don’t know whether to feel complimented or insulted…especially since I’ve been around here on and off for a few years now, and that was my first ever “let me seek advice” night after many, many a SNT chiming in on other people doing the same…
And I always saw everyone here as the nerds trying to fit in with the nerds; nothing more nothing less…didn’t think we ever had a ‘social status’ to worry about around here, as we were always among friends….

Shaunfu- I too, was late on discovering that drink. Except I don’t much like sipping on alcoholic drinks, so I’d ask for a shot of vodka alongside a redbull. That was until I started mixing vodka with cranberry juice. I think vodka is the greatest liquor.
Better watch talking to me kb; the ‘cool kids’ may vote you out too…I kid, I kid…
The only weird thing was I kept waking up in the night and I was AWAKE; I guess the Red Bull was still lingering in my system. But a few moments later I was doze off again…it was a long, strange night….
Chestnuts roasted by Shuanfu @ 07/15/2007 11:35 AM
Shuanfu: I always thought you were cool. I hope there isn’t a social status here.
The first time I had Red Bull and vodka was in Budapest and I thought it was the greatest drink in the world. That was back in 2000 when techno ruled and now the secret is out. It may have been popular in the states before that but it was new to me.

Hey Bill: bro, the bear is back in town again….ugh. It was quite a disgusting encounter. Per usual I ran up the nearest tree and avoided the situation. That, my friend, is officially done. I even thought on the way home “fuckin’ bear”…then I lol’d a little bit.
Wow, now that conversation has come full circle
And thanks….but if my response to Goob came off as ‘assy’ or whiny that was not my intent…just an odd thing to read first thing in the morning; plus sarcasm does not read well online…but no offense was meant…peace and puppy dogs to all.

I took a business trip to Ireland last summer. The coworker who accompanied me introduced the Irish (and me) to the JagerBomb: 1 shot Jager, 1/2 can Red Bull. This my friends in one tasty drink!!
Surprisingly, we got a lot of work done while we were there. But I have never drank so much and slept so little in 5 days. I go back next summer.
Chestnuts roasted by Fungusmungus @ 07/15/2007 12:36 PM
I have never tried Red Bull *hangs head in shame*
I was home sick yesterday, and the luxury of NOT having to work on a Saturday was amazing. I hooked up the SNES, played 2 hours of Legend of Zelda, watched a lot of TV, surfed the net, made brownies, smoked some substances, finished ‘Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince’, read some Chuck Klosterman, and went to bed at 4:30 AM….and slept until 1:30 PM. Oh hell yes.
Chestnuts roasted by Muppet Baby @ 07/15/2007 1:12 PM
An X-E podcast would be kind of cool.
I have a fricking headache, a hangover of sorts from yesterday. It’s not fun to be an introvert when there’s a big family gathering going on, and yesterday there were like 15 people here or something. I need my damn “me” time.
Also, having only one TV in a house with four people = fail.
