Summer Megaparty: X-E’s Summer Jukebox!


X-E's Summer Jukebox is now active! A stunning combination of oldies, cock rock and songs from Pokemon movie soundtracks! It's not finished, but in case anyone without a radio needs some easy breezy listening as they spend Independence Day playing Yahoo! Checkers, I figured now was the time. It's a pretty eclectic (read: ridiculous) mix, but this is a pretty eclectic (read: ridiculous) site. I'll add more songs soon.

Even when it falls on a Wednesday (ugh), the 4th is typically one of the lowest days of the year in terns of web traffic, or at least, X-E's web traffic. If you're about to head off for barbecues with celebrity friends for a day, have a good one. Us? We got nothing planned. Maybe a little grilling, or maybe I'll track down a leftover smoke bomb from this article, or maybe I'll waste the entire holiday reading up on carpenter ants, which for some reason are creatures I find quite kickass.

Haha, you did it Matt, you actually got the Ataris version of Boys of Summer!!!! I play this on every jukebox I come across. Mainly because it’s usually the only Ataris song I can find on them, but it’s still special to me.

You can smell my stink on both the Christmas and the Summer Jukeboxes.

Yay summer jukebox! Nothing can beat the Xmas one, though.
P.S. Last night at the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin Robosaurus tore cars in half and drank beer in honor of the Transformers movie. My girlfriend took pictures of him going nuts in the parking lot. Here they be:

Hello everyone, thanks for the jukebox, Matt! I just bought a DS, and the web browser isn’t working with my router. I guess I’ll have to buy the USB Wi-fi adaptor. It’ll be cool to web surf on the DS, though.

I really don’t know what I’m doing tomorrow. I work early, until 1PM, then I might go over to my uncle’s and see what he and my stepsister are doing, or I might just hang around until the fireworks. I depends on how I feel after work.

FUN FACT ABOUT CARPENTER ANTS: They were the ants that you could send away for when you purchased an UNCLE MILTON ANT FARM. That may sound stupid, and it is, but they did last longer than the average backyard ant in my experience.

Eliza – I broke my “only buy thrifted or environmentally/socially friendly goods” rule today by buying 2 awesome items of Harry Potter stuff from Hot Topic. I can’t even wait for this book, my countdown widget is crawling as it ticks down the seconds!

Wow! How did I miss “T-U-R-T-L-E Power” when I scanned the song list? I LOVE this song! I’m wild about the Mario movie, but Turtles? Best movie ever made. Though hearing the awesome ending rap from Ninja Turtles reminds me of the awesome ending rap from 3 Ninjas. Soooooooo good. If the ninja/rap/endind credits connection wasn’t enough for you, get this – it’s called “Kid Power.”

And I guess having both a Will Smith song and a song called “Wild, Wild West” makes me wish the jukebox would let bounce into Smith’s rap from the Wild, Wild West movie.

Aw, and you have the Butthole Surfers! And Rock Lobster! And the Mortal Kombat song! I have a lot of listening to do. This almost makes up for the fact that I can’t go to a Kwik-E-Mart. Okay, that’s not true.

Eliza I tend to shy away from HP rumors because they can ruin the excitment. However, predictions are another thing and I recently satisfied my Harry Potter craving by reading Mugglenet.com’s “What Will Happen in Harry Potter 7?” It was a fun little read and I agreed with a lot of their theories. I have been re-reading the books since May and started book 6 over the weekend. I’m very excited for movie, but I am beyond excited for the novel. I am considering wearing my Harry Potter costume to Wal-Mart on release night, but I’m thinking I might be a bit too old to do that at 30. Of course I always have my fizzing whizzbee’s shirt.
